The unintended consequence of the Trump era presidency will be a more gutsy, vigilant press...I hope.
The "alternative facts" lunacy from Rep. Sean Duffy took a serious blow when CNN pushed back. Duffy has been a fast talking poser for years, but his appearance here is so embarrassing that no amount of filibustering could save his sorry ass.
This is what happens when Republicans are forced to explain their "thinking" on policy; there is no thinking, just memorized talking points that have no connection to reality:

Clinton cited a recent Time magazine articleby former National Counterterrorism Center chief Matt Olson where he argues that members of ISIL are actively advocating for Trump. In August, one ISIS spokesman wrote: “I ask Allah to deliver America to Trump.” Another supporter declared: “The ‘facilitation’ of Trump’s arrival in the White House must be a priority for jihadists at any cost!!!” ISIS is working to drum up support for the candidate it has called “the perfect enemy.”
Trump spoke to the National Association of Home
Builders in Miami Aug. 11 and stated that ISIS wants Clinton to win
the election. “Oh boy, is ISIS hoping for her,” he added.
For the last year Trump has bragged about his secret plan to defeat ISIS. He gave details of that secret plan in front of rowdy crowds of supporters, not realizing ISIS was listening, but oh well...
Trump: "I'd bomb the shit out of 'em. I would just bomb those suckers."
THIS JUST IN... Trump's gotta plan to defeat ISIS again, meaning he didn't really have a plan before. Well, it's not exactly his plan this time either, but he will demand that his "top generals" come up with a plan within 30 days, because that's how you fight wars - on deadline. See, it's that easy:
Donald Trump ... will ask his top military officials to formulate a plan for defeating ISIS within his first 30 days in office. “We are going to convey my top generals and give them a simple instruction. They will have 30 days to submit to the oval office a plan for soundly and quickly defeating ISIS. We have no choice."
Huh, what..."We have no choice?" Anyway...Trump lied about having a plan, because clearly he hasn't asked his "top generals" yet.
And Trump's plan to deter world conflicts? Spend, spend, spend on the military because heaven knows we don't need it help our own country:
"We want to deter, avoid and prevent conflict through our unquestioned military strength."
Instilling Confidence? I don't Think So: For a party that bashed Obama for his lack of experience despite years in politics and community organizing, Republicans are okay with a novice and complete corporate egomaniac, learning on the fly:
Bob Corker, the Republican chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, (said), "I do believe that Donald Trump is growing in his understanding of these issues and I think that he's beginning to get more and more people around him that have a depth of understanding as to the complexities and I'm watching this evolve. We'll all make our assessments.".
I think Arizona Republican Sen. Jeff Flake said it best about his party's candidate for president:
"What Trump has been willing to do is say terrible things about women, mock the disabled, disparage minorities, impugn the character of POWs, and go after the Gold Star parents of a fallen U.S. soldier."
Trump trolls continue to ignore the blatant lies of their orange leader, their chosen candidate for president no matter how much they deny it, because he "tells it like it is."
Seriously, you can't turn on conservative talk radio without hearing some mindless caller blather on about Trump's "tell it like is is" honesty. Yet Trump is doing just the opposite, which brings us back to "everyday is opposite day in Republican world."
This is now the big headline this morning, after lying all day about ISIS founding father President Obama...hey, it was all just a joke, like his hilarious rant about shooting President Hillary Clinton over liberal supreme court nominations:
What, the main stream media couldn't tell by the expression on Trump's orange face - like at this recent rally - that he was just kidding?
Or this lighthearted back and forth with conservative talker Hugh Hewitt, where Trump not only doubles down on his claim Obama founded ISIS, but he readily admits that making outrageous comments get more news coverage than telling the boring truth. MSNBC's Steve Kornaki pointed out the slip-up, saying "Donald Trump revealed that making outrageous statements that warrant clarification is part of his strategy:"
Hewitt: "You meant Obama created the vacuum, he lost the peace." Trump: "No, I mean't he's the founder of ISIS."
I also noticed an odd coincidence regarding the word "founder." In this highly edited clip of PBS's Frontline on the origin of ISIS, the focus is on its "founder," mention within the first 50 seconds. Interesting to note; Dick Cheney is really the person responsible for the development of ISIS, so he could make his case for war with Iraq:
I hope Rep. Sean Duffy voters caught a glimpse of their congressman getting caught in a lie.
That's a big problem for Duffy, who doesn't seem quick enough to bullshit his way out of trouble.
CNN's Chris Cuomo highlighted another fabrication in an interview with Duffy, over Obama's supposed presidential overreach and king like power. Like taking on ISIS:
CNN host Chris Cuomo made the interesting comment that if Duffy and his colleagues are so frustrated with Obama’s handling of ISIS, they (the Congress) can declare war on the terrorist organization themselves. Cuomo called Duffy on his bluff after the congressman said that he was confident that taking out ISIS would be a quick and dirty operation if only Obama would put it into place.
Cuomo: “I don’t know what you’re asking for that isn’t done right now. The generals do say they can take out ISIS, but we know what they’re asking for: They’re asking for boots on the ground. You’re part of a Congress that won’t even have a vote on the authorization for use of military force against ISIS.” Duffy tried to stutter his way out ... Cuomo replied, “If it matters so much, why not take control of it with the power that’s yours?”
Watch Duffy squirm. Cuomo's simple question should be asked of every smarty pants Republican. Remember, Paul Ryan's mission is to subvert and limit the power of the executive branch by ceding more power to congress. Wouldn't taking on ISIS be the best way to accomplish that? But Republicans don't want to get their fingerprints on something that they know won't succeed:
Not only are Republicans endangering the public by daring ISIS to attack Americans with immigration bans and heated rhetoric, but now they're spilling the beans on an in-progress investigation and arrest. Imagine what would have happened if a Democrat pulled this stunt:
Reuters: Two Texas politicians, Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Lieutenant Governor
Dan Patrick, made public details of an investigation into a terrorism suspect while it was still in progress, potentially jeopardizing the inquiry, three sources familiar with the matter said on Friday.
Anyone trust these tough on terrorist Repubicans that can't even keep a secret or follow instructions?
Abbott and Patrick released details from documents that were still under court seal, the sources said. A spokesman for Governor Abbott had no immediate comment. Patrick's office was not available for comment ... both Republicans and their party has been fiercely resisting Democratic President Barack Obama's plan to allow 10,000 Syrian refugees into the country over the next year, arguing that they pose a security risk to the United States.
It's clear both Abbott and Patrick both pose a security threat to law enforcement going after terrorists.
Abbott is an especially dangerous right wing zealot who just proposed a constitutional convention that would result in states being able to ignore the federal government and overturn Supreme Court decisions. Take a look, it's a secessionists wet dream and recipe for absolute nationwide chaos:

Yesterday in Iowa, per NBC News, the junior senator from Florida said:
“I believe we should be carrying out attacks against Sunni leadership nodes, videotaping the whole thing and putting it up on Youtube [sic] so that the world can see these people are not invincible. I want the world to see how these ISIS leaders cry like babies when they’re captured. I want the world to see how these ISIS leaders, once captured, begin to sing like canaries if they survive.”
Rubio says it’s time to give ISIS a dose of its own medicine.
Journal Sentinel blogger Christian Schneider apparently doesn’t read his own newspaper. He missed a recent article about Russ Feingold's call to increase security. And that just made his attack
piece ridiculous and irrelevant.
Schneider’s article, “Feingold's bad bet on intelligence” is
all wrong, and based on right wing rhetoric already circling around the talk radio
drain:
Now a candidate to regain the Senate seat he lost in 2010,
Feingold was back this week calling for
better funding and more focus on intelligence gathering in the wake of last
Friday's terrorist attack on Paris. It makes sense that Feingold would want to
remake his image by pretending now that he's been for strengthening U.S.
intelligence all along. It wouldn't be the first time he's tried to rewrite the
past…”
In the wake of the Paris terrorist attacks, former U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold is
calling for better funding and … the revival of a dormant oversight commission.
The Foreign Intelligence and Information Commission Act was
put forward by Feingold, a Democrat, and passed into law in 2010 but has not
been funded, nor has the commission been put in place. The commission was meant
to ensure that the nation is looking across the globe for terrorist havens and
threats and doing so by every means, whether covert spies or foreign diplomats.
Hell, Feingold even worked with Republican Rep. Chuck Hagel:
Feingold worked on the commission proposal with then
Republican U.S. Sen. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska, who later served as secretary of
defense under Obama. In 2008, Hagel said of an earlier version of the proposal
that it would ensure that the U.S. isn't solely focused on the "threat of
the day."
Schneider is another conservative who's willing to leave out huge parts of stories and facts to make what he's saying seem logical, in a down-the-rabbit-hole kinda way.
Oh, and here's another little nugget of truth:
Feingold blamed the rise of the Islamic State group on the
U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003, which he opposed then as a U.S. senator.
Whatever actions the U.S. takes next, the nation needs better intelligence, he
said. Separately Monday, Feingold's 2016 opponent, Sen. Ron
Johnson (R-Wis.), called for invading territory held by the terrorist group the
Islamic State.
Dumb Ron Johnson must have an extra $2 trillion sitting around for a new war in the Middle East.
Scott Walker has turned Wisconsin into something so conservatively radical that that he truly believes the states remaining liberal Democrats are not much different than ISIS terrorists. Hey, Walker said so...
Audience member question: "Should you become commander and chief, how would you deal with threats like ISIS?" Walker: "If I can take on 100,000 protesters, I can do the same across the globe,"
Walker is unintentionally doubling down on that idea, despite his denials, with his recent ban on Syrian refugees. WSJ:
Gov. Scott Walker on Tuesday wrote U.S. Secretary of State
John Kerry to say that state officials would not aid any federal attempt to
resettle Syrian refugees in Wisconsin. "Our state will not facilitate the coordination or provision of benefits or services for individuals whose presence could pose a potential risk to our people."
If Walker's statement wasn't enough, get a load of Paul Ryan's contradictory comment pushing the right wings xenophobic panic attack, while bragging about being a welcoming country to immigrants...just not this time. WKOW's Greg Neumann:
Paul Ryan: "Our nation has always been welcoming,but we cannot let terrorists take advantage of our compassion. This is a moment when it's better to be safe than to be sorry. So we think the prudent, the responsible thing is to take a pause, in this particular aspect of this refugee program, in order to verify terrorists aren't trying to infiltrate the refugee population."
Dumb Ron Johnson has the typical do-nothing GOP response down cold...we "have a lot of questions." Next issue please....
Ron Johnson, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and
Governmental Affairs Committee, said "Americans have a lot of
questions" about the issue and "our first task is to keep Americans
safe."
Add Walker to the other 31 frightened governors giving ISIS just what they want. Scared to death of challenging terrorist tactics, Walker could just be helping ISIS stop the flow of refugees with planted "evidence:"
WaPo: Security concerns have increasingly been cited as a justification for keeping borders closed and refusing to resettle migrants ... after a Syrian passport with the name Ahmad al-Mohammad, a 25-year-old born in Idlib province, was found near the body of a suicide bomber. French authorities say fingerprints from the suicide bomber match those of someone who passed through Greece in early October.
Refugees and migrants reaching Europe do represent some kind
of security threat However, it is not only deeply unfair to paint all of
those arriving with the same brush — it is also self-defeating. If
Muslim refugees come to Europe and are welcomed, it deeply undercuts the
Islamic State's legitimacy. Some have suggested that the Islamic State deliberately sent someone along this route to help sow discord. Given the availability of fake Syrian passports in Turkey and other places ... the passport found near the body of one of the Paris bombers was planted there to further inflame a tense Europe — an idea strengthened by reports that a different man was found traveling with the same passport in Serbia.
The anti-immigration right wingers like Scott Walker are only strengthening ISIS:
What seems almost certain is that the Islamic State wants you to equate refugees with terrorists. In turn, it wants refugees to equate the West with prejudice against Muslims and foreigners.The screening process can take years, leaving legitimate refugees in limbo. It's worth remembering that making that welcome worse may be exactly what the Islamic State wants.
No broken hearts from our armed conservative authority, who oddly, still don't feel safe.
ACLU of Wisconsin was among the groups to criticize Walker's remarks Tuesday. The group said in a statementthat "the U.S. already has an extremely rigorous and multi-layered security screening program in place for refugees seeking to resettle here. Attempting to shut out refugee resettlement in Wisconsin blames refugees for the very terror they are fleeing, and erodes our own civil liberties," the group said.
Here's what Sen. Elizabeth Warren had to say about a fear mongering GOP leaders:
“These events test us. It is easy to proclaim that we are tough and brave and good-hearted when threats feel far away -- but when those threats loom large and close by, our actions will strip away our tough talk and reveal who we really are." "We face a choice. A choice either to lead the world by example or to turn our backs to the threats and the suffering around us.”
Voxdotcom put out this nice piece on the conflict in Syria and the rise of ISIS. It offers Republicans food for thought...I'm kidding of course, that's not possible. The reality; we don't control what other countries do or end up creating due to their own policies, not including our own constant meddling:

nothing but feed internal fears, granting a victory to terrorists, whose goal
is precisely to shake the feeling of safety in free societies":
"The Paris attacks carried out by ISIS are being used to
sustain the Republican Party's nativist, anti-immigrant discourse. It is sad to
see that the reaction to terrorism is to build border walls and ignore a
humanitarian crisis out of fear. Terrorism triumphs when it succeeds in
intimidating governments and civilians. Leadership is shown by rising to
challenges posed by the situation, not by taking advantage of them to feed
existing fear and resentment against immigrants and foreigners among the
electorate."
The right wing freak out over the terrorist attacks in France was scary. Is it a red flag when gun toting "responsible law abiding" patriots reach for their semi-automatic security blanket in a panic?
Triggered the conservative Fear Center: My conservative friend in Milwaukee called last night, sounding very angry, and then hung up on me after blaming liberals and Obama for not taking ISIS seriously. I'm assuming French citizens, armed to the teeth, could've somehow stopped lunatics with bombs wrapped around their chest.
Hypocrite Opportunists: After an endless flurry of conservative fear mongering tweets, one stood out as the most hypocritical, from phony "Democrat" Sheriff David Clarke. Often critical of anyone supposedly exploiting shooting rampages with politically motivated calls for tougher gun laws, Clarke wasn't afraid to make his point ghoulishly political:
Walker's odd knack for bad analogies stems from his overall lack of foreign policy experience, which is reminding me of party hopeful and worst candidate ever, Sarah Palin.
A few other warning signs:
1. Mr. Non-Answer himself, Scott Walker, point blank said he won't be answering questions about foreign policy, unlike Obama, because that would be like telling our enemies. Didn't Republicans insist Obama tell them...oh, never mind. Again, Walker is telling us he'll spring whatever scheme he comes up with, on both ISIS and the American public, without ever tipping his hand. You were warned.
2. WKOW's Greg Neumann reported "wrecking ball" Walker got a good reception from the audience after saying he was a self made man. Is that even possible for a mediocre career politician, on the public dole, doing the bidding of monied corporate special interests? Self made huckster maybe.
3. Scarier still is one guys impression that Walker would appeal to the middle. God help us all.

The nation is getting to see the real Scott Walker. His neatly managed media friends and overly rehearsed memorized talking points that played so well in the state, are now playing second fiddle to Walker's massive ego trip into presidential politics.
While low information voters don't hear the dictatorial authoritarian leanings spilling out of Walker's mouth daily, others have found it to be a gold mine for humorous parody. One of the most surprising came from the conservative Journal Sentinel editorial board the other day. You can read that below the cartoon here, that may have hit a little too close to home when it comes to Walker's foreign policy thinking:
I was going to offer up an excerpt of the Journal Sentinel's David Haynes piece, but was all too good to pass up:
I already feel safer knowing that Gov. Scott Walker might
soon be in charge of tracking down ISIS. As the governor bragged
Thursday to the Conservative Political Action Conference: "I want a commander-in-chief who will do everything in
their power to ensure that the threats from radical Islamic terrorists do not
wash up on American soil. We need a leader with that kind of confidence. If I
can take on 100,000 protesters, I can do the same across the world." Indeed. The governor has all but conquered a host of
Wisconsin acronyms — AFSCME, WEAC, IBEW, UAW and MTEA. Why not ISIS? And he won't have to concern himself with loud protesters —
not over there. No First Amendment. No free speech. No right to assemble. Walker's experience in Wisconsin is more transferrable to
the world stage than it might at first appear. As the governor has shown, if you want to defeat an enemy,
you must first...Take away his right to collectively bargain. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, head of ISIS, meet Marty
Beil, head of the once-powerful Wisconsin State Employees Union. Walker has stood against Big Government in Wisconsin, a
quality that plays well in the fight against ISIS. The citizens of the Islamic
State have gotten used to the absence of services and a safety net; they'll
certainly never miss a high-speed train or a federal match for Medicaid. As he regains territory lost to the Islamic State group,
Walker can cut property taxes, offer generous tax credits for political
supporters and "return tax dollars to the hardworking people" of
Syria and Iraq. We may be about to learn if supply side economics works when
there is no supply. Walker also can apply the
clever ministrations of "divide and conquer" — a political
strategy as old as the cradle
of civilization itself. In Wisconsin, Walker targeted most public
employee unions during the Act 10 fight four years ago but left alone the
unions that supported him. In the Levant, he could cut deals with other terrorist
groups — let them keep their Cadillac health care benefits as long as they
donate to the Wisconsin Club for Growth and back the efforts of Wisconsin Manufacturers &
Commerce to open the region to mining. (If the neocons had been a bit more clever, they would have
nixed George W. Bush's disastrous Iraq plan 12 years ago and put the Wisconsin Club for Growth or
WMC in charge. No laws against a campaign coordinating with an outside group
over there. And no one has ever heard of "John Doe.") Other Walker initiatives could be cut-and-pasted from
Badgerland to ISIS-controlled territories: Once in charge, Walker could impress the importance of one
person, one vote. No more purple fingers. State-issued IDs for all. And no
voting on weekends. Of course, some
Walker-like initiatives already are in place in areas controlled by
the Islamic State. Concealed carry, for example, the "castle
doctrine" and big cuts in aid to local schools, governments and
universities. But I'll bet they've never thought of offering voucher
schools for all, or asking the few remaining, cowering professors to
"teach one more class." So look out, ISIS, Scott Walker is coming for you. And he's
bringing his own version of The Wisconsin Idea.
John Dickerson, Slate's chief political correspondent,
took the word of Scott Walker’s campaign spinners, and threw up another media
wall of protection for our Teflon governor.
Walker said he was taken out of context, and he was. This
is reductionist and it’s a logical fallacy, but it’s not a comparison. The
logical fallacy is that strength in one category can be transferred to another.
Walker was arguing that since he had done one hard thing, he could offer
the same internal strength to do another hard thing.
Yikes, just when we thought everybody else and Gov. Rick
Perry finally got it right, the media offered Walker a way out.
Not so Fast: But thanks to University of Wisconsin’s own Joan Walsh, at
Salon, the media appeasers got it wrong again:
It turns out CPAC wasn’t the first time Walker has tried his
“standing up to unions means I can whip ISIS” line. He made a similar argument
at the New York event where Rudy Giuliani upstaged him by claiming President
Obama doesn’t love America. According
to Larry Kudlow, an event co-sponsor:
"Walker argued that when Reagan fired the PATCO air-traffic
controllers over their illegal strike, he was sending a message of toughness to
Democrats and unions at home as well as our Soviet enemies abroad. Similarly,
Walker believes his stance against unions in Wisconsin would be a signal of
toughness to Islamic jihadists and Russia’s Vladimir Putin."
If Kudlow is correct, that undermines Walker’s claim that he
was merely citing the protests as an example of a “difficult situation” he’s
faced. He thinks somehow ISIS in Iraq and Syria will be cowed by his battles on
the steps of the Capitol in Madison. Walker is already complaining that this is another “gotcha”
moment . As
Digby reminds us, the Urban Dictionary aptly defines a “gotcha” question as
one Sarah Palin is too dumb to answer. Claiming fighting protesters prepared you to fight ISIS when asked about fighting terror? That’s an answer even Palin might have been too smart to give.
Scott Walker won't apologize for insulting protesting Wisconsinites and comparing them to ISIS, that's for sure.
So the media instead is insinuating the union leaders should apologize for a random accusatory sign seen at protest rallies, like calling Walker a terrorist. Sorry, not buying it.
A random individuals opinion on a sign does not compare to Walker. He likened protesters, Wisconsinites exercising their 1st Amendment rights, to ISIS.
Since when does a protesters, with no power, apologize to a guy who could crush him like an ant and make his life a living hell (he's already doing that).
It's almost surreal watching the media pressure those getting trampled by Scott Walker to apologize. They absolutely mad!!!
The Journal Sentinel's Patrick Marley's whole article titled "Terrorist rhetoric has emerged before among Walker, adversaries" made the following point:
Betsy Kippers, president of the teachers union Wisconsin
Education Association Council, also decried Walker's remark. "It's
disgusting that Governor Walker would compare everyday heroes — educators — to
international terrorists," her statement said. "It shows the depths
he will sink to in order to promote his own self-interest." But the roles have at times been reversed. About 2,000
people showed up at the Capitol on Wednesday … Yon Yonsen … quietly stood
near the Senate chamber for hours holding a giant photo of Walker that was labeled
"Domestic Terrorist.
The roles can never be reversed. A regular citizen is not equal to a governor. WKOW's Greg Neumann suggested the same thing at the end of this clip:
Governor Walker himself has been compared to terrorists and even Adolf Hitler by union protesters in the past. 27 news asked the union leader who appeared with Yackel Friday if she should denounce those actions as well. “We have never done that - nor will we ever. Thank you,” said Stephanie Bloomingdale, with Wisconsin AFL-CIO. To be clear, Bloomingdale was saying her union never brought those signs, but she also refused to answer whether she would denounce those actions by others.
This is the most amazing blunder yet by Scott Walker, who is apparently getting the whole Reagan/Air traffic controllers confrontation wrong, very wrong. Walker thinks Reagan's tough stand against the air traffic controllers union sent a strong message to the Soviet Union, that he would not be intimidated.
So of course, Walker tried to imitated Reagan when he ignored the hundreds of thousands of protesters back in 2011 at the state Capitol. Did that send a strong message to...ISIS? In Walker's mind, yes.
There’s just no way to describe what Walker said that doesn't sound
scary:
CNN: Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker says his home-state battles
against labor unions prepare him to take on terrorism -- but he denies he's
comparing the two.
In context, Walker was talking about ISIS and terrorism:
Walker drew attention at the Conservative Political Action
Conference on Thursday with his response to a question about how he'd handle
ISIS, and the "radical Islamic terrorism" he condemned during his
speech. "If I can take on 100,000 protesters, I can do the same
across the globe,"
Again and again, the media keeps getting wrong:
Walker told reporters he wasn't making a direct comparison.
"You all will misconstrue things the way you see
fit," he said, "but I think it's pretty clear, that's the closest
thing I have in terms of handling a difficult situation, not that there's any
parallel between the two."
And I loved this reference to Walker's supposed "leadership ability," which is looking kind of comical, and very authoritarian:
Walker spokeswoman Kirsten Kukowski underscored Walker's explanation later, saying the comment was intended to highlight his leadership capabilities.
Just the opposite really. Yes, it's that gotcha media, like the conservative National Review's honest opinion:
That is a terrible response. First, taking on a bunch of protesters is not comparably difficult to taking on a Caliphate with sympathizers and terrorists around the globe, and saying so suggests Walker doesn't quite understand the complexity of the challenge from ISIS and its allied groups. Secondly, it is insulting to the protesters, a group I take no pleasure in defending. The protesters in Wisconsin, so furiously angry over Walker’s reforms and disruptive to the procedures of passing laws, earned plenty of legitimate criticism. But they’re not ISIS. They’re not beheading innocent people. They’re Americans, and as much as we may find their ideas, worldview, and perspective spectacularly wrongheaded, they don’t deserve to be compared to murderous terrorists.

Just like my former conservative friend sending me an unwelcome picture of a beheaded ISIS prisoner, I'm getting the uneasy feeling right wingers get off on this stuff.
It's no coincidence that following the ISIS beheadings and the call for all out war by frightened conservatives like the easily manipulated Sen. Lindsey Graham, criminals got a crazy idea.

Nice try but wrong president. The war drum party of GOP chicken hawks continues to shift the
blame they so rightly deserve, while pushing for a return to those same
disastrous interventionist policies that got us to this point in the first
place. And that paranoid fear center in their brains has them running for cover
over the news of another beheading.

news report of the execution of Steven J. Sotloff ... Ryan said the
United States needs to conduct a campaign to defeat the Islamic State, the
jihadist group that purportedly beheaded a second U.S. journalist Tuesday. "On
behalf of civilization, on behalf of our freedom, we have to deal with this
threat comprehensively and thoroughly now. It is a
terrorist organization unlike any we've seen before," Ryan said.
"They're like al-Qaida 3.0."
The Blustery War Mongers Return: Have we forgotten how comical
it was the way the Bush administration always backed away from their empty war
threats? Apparently so. Wisconsin Republicans are now ready to jump
right back in with our military. It wasn't just Ryan that wanted to sacrifice more of our kids in interventionist Middle Eastern wars:
