Hello conservative voters, GOP now in control and you feel like you're Losing? Maybe your anger has nothing to do with Democrats.

It all came together for me when I came across this story about the whiny "right:"

Will there ever be a despotic low moment in U.S. history when "the right" will be happy?

And can "the right" find happiness with even just a few Americans taking government housing assistance or getting Medicaid help? Apparently not.

Try and wrap your head around the whiny down-the-rabbit-hole "logic" that is supposed to make liberals think real hard about mistreating conservatives. You know, those same "hate" filled liberal "traitors" still angry they lost the election and who are still trying to silence every whiny mistreated right-wing bully. Will they ever stop disrespecting the Republican "authority?" 

Republicans held more power than they have had in nearly a century. Conservatives had control the House of Representatives, the Senate, the White House, and held a majority of the country's governors mansions. Conservatives have a majority on the Supreme Court.

John Hawkins, the founder of Right Wing News, said that the average American conservative feels bombarded daily with disrespect. "He turns on a TV show where he's insulted, and then he's like, well, maybe I'll just unwind and watch an awards show — the Oscars or something — where he gets trashed all day long," Hawkins said. "He goes to Twitter and he's got some you know guy calling him in a-hole... this is sort of like a pervasive all out attack if you're a conservative. And it's all the time sort of thing."

Kurt Schlicter, a columnist for the conservative Townhall.com, recently wrote a column speculating about whether there could be another civil war — he said there could be one and predicted how the left would lose a violent conflict if it came to it. "We want to be treated with respect and we will not tolerate anything less which is just unacceptable for this to continue. I'm tired of Hollywood spitting on us. I am tired of academia spitting on us. I'm tired of the news media spitting on us," he said.

The irony, of course, is that the biggest conservative heroes all hail from Hollywood and celebrity TV shows. Still, you gotta wonder what it is that makes big energy executives, billionaires, and Wall Street moguls the real American self-righteous spokespeople of our time? 

Years of Fear Mongering Works: Seriously, fear mongering is real and a constant theme on the right:

Matt Lewis, a conservative columnist for The Daily Beast said, "There is a sense on the right that is apocalyptic and fearful."

Jesse Kelly, a writer for the mainstream conservative website The Federalist, wrote that the best alternative course would be to just split the country up.

This feeling of losing the American culture war reflects polling of white, working-class Americans. A poll taken last year by the Public Religion Research Institute and The Atlantic showed 48 percent of them believe that "things have changed so much that I often feel like a stranger in my own country."

The funniest line from this article came at the end, where politicians would be smart to tap this doom and gloom feeling from the base, to get out the vote. Um, didn't they already do that for the last three elections? Feels like some kind of really weird Twilight Zone episode. 

Republicans may find that tapping into these feelings about losing power in society is the best way to motivate their base.

It's a GOP version of Ground Hog Day. 

Walker defends Virginia gubernatorial candidate Gillespie's racist fear mongering campaign.

I couldn't resist posting this amazing "kid gloves" news media handling of Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate and former RNC chair Ed Gillespie. I looked high and low for fair coverage that presented both sides, and never found it. In fact, real news media pretty much transcribed the story from Breitbart...I know, scary stuff.

It's important to note Gillespie started the now brutal back-and-forth. Here's the fear-mongering racist trash Gillespie spewed out earlier, an ad they never pulled off the air or apologized for:

Virginia Republican Ed Gillespie has released four ads that try to tie his Democratic rival for governor, Ralph Northam, to MS-13 gang violence, despite protests from Democrats and Latino groups that the commercials play on racial stereotypes.

The latest ad begins with a dark, hooded figure in a home holding up a baseball bat as the MS-13 motto “Kill, Rape, Control” flashes on the screen. Then, a narrator warns of violent crime linked to the street gang in Virginia — and accuses Northam of putting Virginia families at risk.

Northam, the state’s lieutenant governor, did cast a tiebreaking vote killing a ban on sanctuary cities, but the bill ultimately passed the state Senate, so Northam did not cast the deciding vote. It was later vetoed by Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D). Meanwhile, Virginia has no such localities, a fact that Gillespie has acknowledged but that is omitted from his ads.

Back at ya: Gillespie Can't Take the Heat: Gillespie's support for everything Trump pretty much says it all about his divisive campaign. Note, Brian Fallon is a CNN contributor, he has nothing to do with Northam's campaign, so the outrage over his comment is surreal.

The Republican Governors Association (RGA)(Scott Walker) slammed Hillary Clinton’s ex-spokesman and CNN political contributor Brian Fallon after Fallon derisively claimed Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate Ed Gillespie was a white supremacist. 

Here's Mr. Phony Outrage Himself, Wisconsin's own Trump wannabe, Scott Walker stepping in it:

“Brian Fallon’s attack on Ed Gillespie is shameful, disgraceful, and has no place in American politics,” said RGA Chairman Governor Scott Walker. “Ralph Northam, Hillary Clinton and CNN should immediately denounce Fallon’s blatant attempt to score political points from a tragedy, and CNN should question whether it serves the network and the viewing public well by giving a microphone to Fallon’s hateful rhetoric.”

Who's scoring political points here? Here's Virginia Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Ralph Northam's equally tough pushback...

Earlier this week, Democrats sent out a flier with President Donald Trump and Gillespie’s images with a picture of the alt-right “Unite the Right” rally that took place in August in Charlottesville, VA, that read, “On Tuesday, November 7th, Virginia Gets to Stand Up…To Hate.”

Gillespie's campaign is so ugly that it got a special slot on "All in with Chris Hayes." So yea, pretty pointless bit of phony outrage over a CNN contributors comments:

Republicans exploit Syrian Refugees to win Presidential Election!

Disappointingly, Democrats were willing accomplices to GOP efforts to spread stupidity and fear about Syrian refugees. Our own Rep. Ron Kind jumped on board the “stupid” bandwagon. See the list of gutless Democrats here.

It’s hard to imagine anyone getting behind the following compilation of reckless uninformed fear laced rants, but they did, marking another very dark moment in U.S. history. I put together all the clips I could find in just a couple of hours, so there's still a whole lot more I missed. Will we look back on all this with utter disgust? This is what the Republican Party is using to divide the public in order to win a presidential election. It's eleven minutes of mostly hate and a few moments of honesty:

Consider this journey into the manufactured fear of Syrian refugee terrorists getting something for nothing:

Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) suggested that Syrian refugees are just trying to come to the United States for a "paid vacation" ... "We’re paying them about $15,000 a year in free health care, free food, free shelter, free clothing, free transportation," according to audio posted by ThinkProgress. "That answers very quickly why so many of them want to come to the United States of America. Were paying them to come here. It's a paid vacation!"

Speaker Paul Ryan constructed this Orwellian take on the refugees, after constructing what would be an indefinite road block to Syrian immigration: "Certified safe by the FBI, Department of Homeland Security and the Director of National Intelligence." Of course it's never going to happen, and yet...

 "We are a compassionate nation. We always have been, and we always will be."

You would think Ryan had access to the chart below, or have some working knowledge of it after cooking up his impossible test for Syrian refugees trying to come to the U.S.:

The only person that could cut through the GOP rhetoric? Comedian John Oliver picked up where our news media dropped off the face of the earth:

“Every generation has had its own ugly reaction to refugees, whether they are the Irish, the Vietnamese, the Cubans, or the Haitians, and those fears have ben broadly unfounded. In fact, there was only one time in American history when the fear of refugees wiping everyone out did actually come true, and we’ll all be sitting around a table celebrating it on Thursday.”

And religious freedom? It apparently has more to do with contraception and gay marriage than it does letting Muslims freely exercise their religion beliefs:

The right wing freak out over the terrorist attacks in France was scary. Is it a red flag when gun toting "responsible law abiding" patriots reach for their semi-automatic security blanket in a panic?

Triggered the conservative Fear Center: My conservative friend in Milwaukee called last night, sounding very angry, and then hung up on me after blaming liberals and Obama for not taking ISIS seriously. I'm assuming French citizens, armed to the teeth, could've somehow stopped lunatics with bombs wrapped around their chest.

Hypocrite Opportunists: After an endless flurry of conservative fear mongering tweets, one stood out as the most hypocritical, from phony "Democrat" Sheriff David Clarke. Often critical of anyone supposedly exploiting shooting rampages with politically motivated calls for tougher gun laws, Clarke wasn't afraid to make his point ghoulishly political:

Figures; Dumb Ron Johnson's Super PAC fear mongers, Photoshops Obama standing next to president of Iran.

All in with Chris Hayes feature this amazing gaffe, not to mention lie, from what appears to be a desperate Dumb Ron Johnson fund raiser at his super PAC. The Progressive's Ruth Conniff gives the nation a wonderfully detailed, almost comical description of our national embarrassment:

A Super PAC supporting Sen. Ron Johnson, R - Wi., aired an ad featuring a photoshopped image of President Obama shaking hands with the Iranian president, which has never happened.

Check out the before and after photos wonderfully displayed by Buzzfeed. Obama looks strangely similar in the two different photos, right. But Johnson's PAC, believe it or not, continued to claim the picture was real, despite changing it! You can't make this stuff up. According to PolitiFact:

Editor's note: After this item was posted, Restoration PAC spokesman Dan Curry called PolitiFact Wisconsin to say the group had decided the day before -- after the Buzzfeed article -- to replace the image with side-by-side photos of the two men. He said the new ad began running the morning of July 24, 2015. (However, the old version continued to appear on YouTube and as a link from the group's website that afternoon). 

And it's down the rabbit hole....

In a statement, Curry criticized BuzzFeed as "not able to provide any proof that the photo was fake" and noted the photo "is in circulation widely on the internet, posted on dozens of websites. There also are no articles directly claiming the image is fake. However, out of an abundance of caution, we are replacing the image with side-by-side Obama and Rouhani photos that makes exactly the same point."

Walker, Chicken Hawk or Megalomaniac?

Gov. Scott Walker began a two-day New Hampshire swing Friday by speaking to party activists aboard a sunset dinner cruise on this state's largest lake … told listeners on board that he was not suggesting the United States "go into open-ended excursions" in foreign lands.

"But ... we've got an enemy that's unlike any we've faced before. This is not the Cold War where containment is enough. We've got an enemy that's like a virus. If we don't take it out entirely, it's going to come back even stronger."

At the NRA Leadership Forum, Walker grew even more mad with power. He delivered this fiery tirade, calling for war, and the need for "safety." You know, national security.

Elections over, so is Ebola threat!!!

For purely political reasons, which was obvious to any sane individual, the Ebola threat has now faded into the vapor. Sigh, it's not the end of the potential threats used to pass ridiculous fear laden legislation, but the most recent identifiable scam. It's the top lie of the year:

It's no coincidence that following the ISIS beheadings and the call for all out war by frightened conservatives like the easily manipulated Sen. Lindsey Graham, criminals got a crazy idea.

The unintended consequence of their full out panic attack has resulted in a copycat beheading and threats by homegrown killers looking of headlines. Yet Republican talk show hosts who are part of this fear mongering campaign to discredit Obama are surprised the idea is catching on:

Tea Party Opposition to Common Core "Socialist...imported by the Obama's."

Common Core is getting bashed from both the left and right, but for completely different reasons. The left maintains the program had too little research and took too much money from corporate sponsors like Bill Gates, a real red flag for most educators. Testing was again emphasized over creativity and exploration of subjects.

The tea party objection said it was another way of dumbing down Americans, an interesting comment from a group out to kill public schools while promoting unaccountable private schools. It’s also a socialist plot cooked up by President Obama.

But according to WPR News:

The standards were developed by a coalition of governors and school administrators – not the federal government. However, the Obama administration did provide some financial incentive for states to adopt the standards through its Race to Top grants.

The tea party perspective should scare the daylights out of anyone serious about educating their kids, and who don't want their children to become future teabilly voters. Behold the right wings point of view. I mean really, there is something wrong with these people. Waukesha Patch:

I look at our government as an amazing experiment. When problems come up, I think of ways we can improve it. Dumb Ron Johnson looks at government and wants to dismantle it, fear it.

Raw Story: Tea party-backed Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) on Thursday told the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority conference that “restoring faith in government” was the “wrong solution” and that lawmakers should instead be encouraging “distrust.”

Johnson treats us like we're the dumb ones...nice try, but fear wasn't the foundational premise of America:

Johnson said that too many Americans had forgotten the “foundational premise of this nation,” that the Founding Fathers understood government was “something to fear.”

“Americans are willingly trading their freedom and ours for the false sense, for the false promise of economic security,” he opined.

This is Johnson at his dumbest. How many years did Republicans demand the security of our wealthy "job creators, " offering them “certainty?” Who came up with the Patriot Act and Homeland Security, and abused it? That was the false promise of security. If anyone has made the idea of compromise and improving government hopeless, politicizing everything, it’s Johnson and his “spend like drunken sailors” Republican pirates.

 “So what surprises me is, why does at least a majority continue to elect politicians that are dedicated to growing this place?” he asked. “I have no idea. It utterly baffles me.”

If Johnson did more reading, and do less speechifying, he might have learned that government spending and employment have declined.

Johnson asserted that congressional approval ratings of 9 percent were “too high.”

 “When I hear politicians talk about restoring faith in government… no, no, no, no, no. That is the wrong solution! We need to engender that healthy distrust, that healthy distrust that our Founders found with government.”

What a job…make people distrust their own elected representatives and fear their own government.

No wonder I don’t recognize this country anymore, and why conservative voters feel so backed into a corner.   

The Anatomy of Right Wing Spin: Do the Vicki McKenna Twist.

Radio's smoke saturated talker Vicki McKenna is so devoid of actual content, that there is barely a minute that goes by she isn't making things up just to fill her empty program with bogus content.

Check her tweet, stating MSNBC blamed the NRA for the Boston bombs...:

...and then the actual commentary by Lawrence O'Donnell about a law the NRA defeated in Congress that would have allowed the government to track the gunpowder used in bombs, and thus find the Boston bombers. Blame the NRA? Heck, even The weekly Standard said as much in the title of their story:

To blame for slow investigation into Boston bombings.

Doh!

"There are new developments tonight in the bombing investigation here in Boston," said O'Donnell. "But that investigation could be moving faster were it not for the successful lobbying efforts of the National Rifle Association. The NRA's efforts to guarantee that American mass murderers are the best-equipped mass murders in the world is not limited to murderers who use assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. The NRA is also in the business of helping bombers get away with their crimes. Gunpowder could be traced by investigators to a buyer at the point of sale if gunpowder contained a taggant, an element that would enable tracing of the purchase of gunpowder. But thanks to the National Rifle Association, identification taggants are required by law only in plastic explosives. The NRA has successfully blocked any requirements for such taggants in gunpowder. So such supremely helpful evidence as taggants are not available to the FBI in this investigation."

Joe the Plumber goes "Sheriff David Clarke Nuts," says "You can either pee or vomit on yourself and hope that you do not become a victim, or you go to your local shooting range."

Samuel Wurzelbacher, or aka Joe the Plumber, put out his own online PSA (it's cheaper that way) to counter Mayor Bloomberg's own message about gun control. He start his message with the above comment. It's oddly similar to Sheriff David Clarke's fear mongering, check it out:

Clarke: "You could beg for mercy from a violent criminal, hide under the bed, or you can fight back."

Joe the Plumber ended his message this way:

"That way, God forbid, if you or your family is ever attacked, you can shoot the bastard."

What a genius. 

Huffington Post: This isn't the first controversial anti-gun control videos released by Wurzelbacher. During a failed campaign to unseat Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-Ohio) last year, he posted a video blaming gun control for the Armenian Genocide and the Holocaust.

“In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were exterminated,” Wurzelbacher said in the video, while loading a shotgun. “In 1939, Germany established gun control. From 1939 to 1945, six million Jews and seven million others unable to defend themselves were exterminated.”

Wurzelbacher is raffling off an AR-15 rifle on his website in protest of debate over an assault weapons ban.

Completely insane now, Sheriff Clarke tells residents, Calling 911 is no longer best option...Get a Gun, "I need you in the GAME." Game?

Concealed carry was supposed to make us all safer by making criminals hesitate and think twice about their intended victim. That didn't work, while at the same time mass shootings like Sandy Hook continue to become more frequent and common domestic disagreements end in gun deaths or injury.

Roll out plan B? Everybody needs to carry a gun now and public places need armed security.  

This is America? This is what the founding fathers envisioned? Or is this what conservatives meant by freedom and liberty?

Abdicating his responsibilities and storing up excuses to use when he fails again, authoritarian Sheriff David Clarke has resorted to scaring people into owning and carrying guns just in case he doesn't respond to your cries for help in time. Comforting thought?

You won't believe what you are about to hear:

jsonline: In his latest radio spot, Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke tells residents personal safety isn't a spectator sport anymore, and "I need you in the game."

"With officers laid off and furloughed, simply calling 911 and waiting is no longer your best option. You could beg for mercy from a violent criminal, hide under the bed, or you can fight back."

Clarke urges listeners to take a firearm safety course and handle a firearm "so you can defend yourself until we get there. You have a duty to protect yourself and your family. We're partners now. Can I count on you?"

GOODBYE CLARKE? Why almost no one is demanding Clarke be relieved, fired or thrown out of office is a mystery to me. When the "Clarke's" of the world get away with this stuff, they become even more emboldened, which pushes them further to the right, resulting in what we now recognize as the radicalized Republican Party.

jsonline: The Greenfield Police Department issued advice on its Facebook page, saying none of its officers was laid off or furloughed, that violent crime is down and the department's response time to violent crime is less than two minutes … decision that should not be driven by fear that our officers will not respond to your calls for help," the department said.

Roy Felber, president of the Milwaukee Deputy Sheriffs' Association, said the ad sounded to him like a call to vigilantism. "That doesn't sound smart," Felber said. "That's why society has police officers." Instead of promoting vigilantism, Felber said, money should be found to hire more police officers and deputies.

Clarke had made this amazingly bizarre statement as well:

The mayor also reacted to a statement released by the Sheriff on Friday, claiming Mayor Barrett would have benefited from “a firearm and a plan of defense” when he was attacked outside State Fair Park back in 2009. “Harry Truman had a statement about dealing with McCarthyism.  He said, ‘I’m not gonna get in the gutter with that guy.’  That’s my view on that,” said Barrett.

CNN's Piers Morgan exposes Alex Jones for the Ranting Armed Paranoid he's become. This is your typical whining Second Amendment Gun Owner!!!

Wanna know what kind of person believes 20 bullet riddled children's bodies is the price Americans are willing to pay for our loose Second Amendment rights? Radio bizarro Alex Jones gave America the full Monty when he appeared with Piers Morgan. You'll notice how Jones rapidly skips from one subject to another, a common and confusing scattershot tactic used by the far right. Jones kept repeating, "your not going to get our guns."

After Jones' appearance, Piers and Alan Dershowitz tried to make sense of what just happened:

“I want people to see the likes of Alex Jones,” Morgan said. "... This debate must be heard loud and clear, so that the arguments against gun control are laid bare for what they are, which, in my view, is a dangerous farce."

Note: This mentally unstable gun owner had another problem prior to his tantrum on Morgan's show, from Politico:

The radio host who blew up at Piers Morgan on CNN tonight was detained by Transportation Security Administration officials on his way to the interview. Alex Jones, the creator of the White House petition to deport Piers Morgan, refused to remove his shoes at the Austin-Bergstrom Airport while en route to New York City, according to TSA blogger Bob Burns.

Jones refused to take his shoes off, believing he was being profiled as a known critic of the TSA … He subsequently agreed to take off his shoes … but was arrested after a beep went off from the metal detector. "The officer continued to detain Jones as he talked to other cops. Despite the officer seemingly wanting to take further action, TSA management, presumably aware of the potential scandal that could ensue, said they were happy to let Jones go on his way,"

As the advocates of tort reform and the whiners over frivolous lawsuits, conservative have a different set of rules for themselves:

InfoWars' Paul Joseph Watson writes. "Jones is now considering a civil rights lawsuit against the TSA for discrimination."

Daily News comes out Swinging against NRA's Wayne LaPierre.

Known for outrageous headlines, the Daily News was right at home with this:

Wayne 'Call Me Crazy' LaPierre might just be: Psychiatrists say the NRA vice president specializes in fear and paranoia

"If it's crazy to call for putting police and armed security in our schools to protect our children, then call me crazy," LaPierre said Sunday on “Meet the Press.”

Dr. Paul Appelbaum, a professor of psychiatry at Columbia University, said LaPierre was playing into fears that are uniquely Americans. "To the extent that the NRA stokes the fears of ordinary people about the dangers in society, and sells them on the notion that only a gun, or several guns, can protect them from the dangers that lurk outside, they have more members," he added. "It's completely in their interest to try to promote that vision of America as an intrinsically dangerous place where one needs to be constantly on guard. There's no question that his comments were intended to, and will in fact harm people with mental illness, in a variety of ways. His comments stoke the fears of the public which already exist about people with mental illness," he said.

So how sincere is Wayne LaPierre about safer schools? He’s not, according to this from the Atlantic:

"But do know this President zeroed out school emergency planning grants in last year's budget, and scrapped "Secure Our Schools" policing grants in next year's budget."

This is also true, but also quite bold of LaPierre to bring up, since he began his speech by attacking "gun-free school zones" and ignored the record of the NRA efforts on community policing. In the 1994 crime bill that included the original assault weapons ban, Bill Clinton included a new program called "Community Oriented Policing Services" that meant to add 100,000 new police officers to our streets (which LaPierre is essentially now proposing by putting cops in every school.) The NRA opposed that bill in 1994 and later mocked the COPS program for failing to meet its promise. Now he's complaining about the loss of "Secure Our Schools" grants. They were administered by COPS.

But a few other things didn’t hold up under scrutiny:

"Federal gun prosecutions have decreased by 40% — to the lowest levels in a decade. So now, due to a declining willingness to prosecute dangerous criminals, violent crime is increasing again for the first time in 19 years!"

It's true that the Bureau of Justice Statistics reported an increase in violent crime in 2011 (from record lows the year before), but that increase was attributed almost entirely to a rise in simple assaults: which specifically means no weapon was used. It's also true that federal prosecutions of gun crimes are down, however, since it would make sense of a decline in prosecutions to also match a decline in violent crimes to prosecute. 

"How can we possibly even guess how many, given our nation's refusal to create an active national database of the mentally ill?"

To our knowledge, no one — not even the NRA — has proposed a national database of the mentally ill. Since similar databases of sex offenders have done little to protect children from sex crimes, that seems unlikely to help. Also, few organizations have done more than the NRA to block the registration of anything. Most recently, they have called for the repeal of Michigan's state-wide pistol registry, a law that State Police credit for solving a recent shooting spree that targeted drives on the busy I-96 corridor. However, they do maintain a National Registry of Places to Shoot.

"Worse, they perpetuate the dangerous notion that one more gun ban — or one more law imposed on peaceful, lawful people — will protect us where 20,000 others have failed!"

It is an oft-repeated talking point … a 2003 study from the Brooking Institution challenged that unsourced statistic, which has apparently been floating around since the 1960s. They pegged the number of statewide gun control laws at about 300 [PDF], adding that "even a very liberal interpretation of what should count as a separate law would leave the total well short of 20,000."

NRA and Gun Corporations hope to make Lots of Money.

NRA’s vice president Wayne LaPierre isn’t simply a ghoul, he’s out to make a profit. Another form of disaster capitalism. Exploiting the gun carnage in this country has now gone into overdrive as the NRA, backed by the paranoid conservative voter and Tea Party Republicans, stands to make a lot of money all the while having a business presence in our schools. Get ‘em young.

The Nation: Last year, shortly after the shooting of then-Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, a financial analyst asked Mike Fifer—CEO of one of the largest gun companies in America—if the incident would lead to a wave of new gun sales. “The commentary from the NRA that President Obama might be coming out with some sort of speech on some sort of gun control,” asked the analyst, “has that stirred gun owners and prospective gun owners to go visit the stores?”

Gun companies, like almost any profit-driven enterprise, must keep pace with investor demands … people generally only need to buy their product once … That’s where the National Rifle Association comes in. NRA-stoked fear about the government’s coming to seize America’s guns has been a useful marketing tool to the gun industry … Horrific gun violence leads to calls for gun control, which in turn leads to NRA-organized fear-mongering and conspiracy theories that inevitably results in more gun sales … and the gun industry is earning what is likely to be an unprecedented fortune.

And though the NRA has been roundly mocked for its public relations effort this week, officials are watching what is sure to be a flood of new cash.

Here’s why: For every gun or package of ammunition sold at participating stores, a dollar is donated to the NRA. The NRA’s corporate fundraising division has several special retail partnerships called “Add-A-Buck,” “NRA Round-Up,” and “Shooting for the Future.” In some cases, Sturm, Ruger & Co. require automatic contributions to the NRA with every purchase. This year alone, Midway USA, an ammunition company, has given the NRA $1 million through the Round Up program.

The NRA has become largely beholden to the gun industry … in 2005, when the NRA successfully lobbied for the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, a law that “essentially blocks federal lawsuits brought by municipalities wishing to hold gun manufacturers accountable for the bloodshed their products helped create.” The law ensures gun companies cannot be held liable for the crimes committed with their products, as explained by Jarrett Murphy in the September edition of The Nation.

Warnings that Obama will “take away our guns,” as the NRA’s David Keene warns, have led a rally on Wall Street that has some gun stocks up over 400 percent over the last four years. It’s quite a feat of marketing, since the Obama administration has only deregulated gun ownership over the last four years.

A Green Bay crowd of 1,500, that was absolutely sold on the charismatic ranting of Paul Ryan, got the red meat they were so hungry for; the promise of a powerful world bully and blusterer. How did that work out for the Bush/Cheney administration? Looks like the Mittney/Ryan team is a repeat of that.

RNC Chair Reince Priebus falsely accuses President of Sympathizing with Attack and Libyan killing of American.

Washington Post blogger Rachel Weiner posted this story- RNC Chair: Obama ‘sympathizes with attackers’

WP: In a tweet, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus suggested not only that the Obama administration had responded to the attacks in Egypt and Libya with sympathy  – as Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney argued – but that President Obama himself personally sympathizes with the attackers.

That would be a baseless lie, and an irresponsible act that should result in Priebus’ firing. But since it reflects the current right wings fear of the "other," nothing will happen:

Both accusations appear to be based on a statement from the Cairo embassy, released before the attacks, which condemned “the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims.” (Protesters were spurred by clips of an anti-Muslim film.) The Obama administration … saying it was not approved by Washington and “doesn’t reflect the views of the U.S. government.”  

The media, Fox News in particular, is now focusing in a long past drone attack, and the anniversary of 9/11 for the unrest, although originally, the story blamed the right wing film.

WP: The director of a controversial anti-Islam film has gone into hiding, according to reports, fearing reprisals over a work that has sparked violence in Egypt and has been linked to events in Libya that led to the deaths of four Americans.

But right wing zealot and religious warrior Sam Bacile’s film may have contributed in some way to the killing. Here's a compilation of clips that will give you an idea of what was so offensive. See Buzzfeed as well:
