The New Republican Party and Cadidates are here...Trump appeasers Ryan and Walker must be proud..

It was hard to imagine...once. Now it's a reality, and that eye watering stench is coming from the Republican Party.

Paul Ryan's primary challenger Paul Nehlen simply reflects the natural "regression" of  Republicans  in general, the exciting next generation of resent driven hate and paranoia. And thanks to Trump's unfiltered boldness, candidates and party leaders are telling us the festering rot we're seeing in America isn't coming from them, it's coming from Jews and drug induced killer immigrants:
(Nehlen) tweeted a list of 81 Twitter users who have criticized him on the social media platform. In the post, Paul Nehlen asserted 74 of the listed critics were Jewish.

An hour after posting the list of critics, Nehlen tweeted out a link to a page on his campaign website where the names, emails and phone numbers of those who have contacted his campaign to criticize him are posted along with portions of their emails or transcripts of voicemails.
The Terrorist Left: I've been waving this red flag for years. Republicans have vilified the word liberal and portrayed them as terrorists and nation ending socialists for years. What did you think would happen? Note: Nehlen oddly wasn't "silenced...on major social media" was he, when he post his trash on Twitter?
He also posted text of legislation he said he would propose to "end the radical left's silencing of conservative voices on major social media platforms."
 Republicans Mainstream Messaging:
Ann Jacobs chairs the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation and said she has never seen rhetoric like this in Wisconsin politics.
"The idea that this is someone who is running for public office and who thinks that his anti-Semitic opinions are mainstream, worthwhile, going to get him votes. It's just horrifying."
In response, the person whose message above is shown on the right, explained:
The phone number for a woman who asked Wisconsin Public Radio to identify her as M to preserve her privacy (said), "I contacted someone who wants to be a public official using a public number and because he disagreed with my statement, he posted my private information online. What upsets me the most is that there are people who want to become part of our government who want to end civic discourse, and civil discourse."
Nehlen: "It means not backing down to people like this:" In the lives of these new conservative messengers, this kind of stuff has been normalized, as demonstrated by Nehlen's frightening response. In his world, this makes perfect sense:
Responding to questions from WPR by email, Nehlen's campiagn said "pointing out factual information is not anti-Semitic," and that people's criticisms of the campaign were posted to the site "to provide the public full transparency of what they can expect if they run for office" and that Nehlen is "no more concerned (about those critics receiving threatening or harassing messages) than they were by making threatening/harassing calls or messaging of this campaign."
Not to be outdone: While liberals are vilified for pushing health care for all (the horror), there are right wing groups influencing Republicans right now that have a much deeper and darker agenda:

The group, Abolish Abortion Wisconsin, is affiliated with the radical activist Matt Trewhella and plans to host an event in the State Capitol on February 7, according to the message to legislators from Rep. Chuck Wichgers. Abolish Abortion Wisconsin: “… public officials in Wisconsin are bound by solemn oath and moral duty to oppose the Supreme Court’s perversion of the Constitution … When we are asked what the punishment should be for women who have illegal abortions, we should unashamedly respond – whatever the penalty is for murder in the state where it takes place.”

One Wisconsin Now: “Rep. Wichgers is not advertising a meeting to have a rational discussion of public policy. Instead he is promoting a repugnant hate group that advocates for lawlessness and violence against women.”

Dumb Ron Johnson...Victim, and still a Wisconsin Embarrassment

Let's be honest, Dumb Ron Johnson has been fighting ObamaCare for absolutely no good reason since he ran for office. Because the media never thought to question his hyperbolic misconceptions during his entire campaign, he now believes he's mister know-it-all on health care.

When Sen. Jay Rockefeller honestly observed many in his party oppose ObamaCare simply because the presidents is the "wrong color," Johnson took it personally, if just to prove he can play the victim like no one else. The poor married-into-money millionaire.

The funniest part for me was not just watching Johnson's impromptu tantrum, but how he responded to Rockefeller's correct assumption that Johnson wanted to go back the old failed health care system, which he denied over and over. And yet Johnson admitted that was exactly his plan moments later:
Johnson: "As the matter of fact, I'm the one pushing a bill...(stutter) 'If You Like your Health Care Plan you can Keep It Act' ... I'm also working with Republican colleagues on 'Preserving Freedom and Choice on Health Care.' To preserve freedom and choice on health care. What a concept Huh? So please don't assume...don't make implications of what I'm thinking, and what I'd really support. You have no idea."

Rockefeller: "Actually I do....and ah I.........God help you."
...because he's that stupid.

Rockefeller: “It’s very important to take a long view at what’s going on here. And I’ll be able to dig up some emails that make part of the Affordable Care Act that doesn’t look good, especially from people who have made up their mind that they don’t want it to work. Because they don’t like the president, maybe he’s of the wrong color. Something of that sort. I’ve seen a lot of that and I know a lot of that to be true. It’s not something you’re meant to talk about in public, but it’s something I’m talking about in public because that is very true.”

Walker chose Homophobic and Racist Staff then and Now!!!

MSNBC's Chris Hayes hit on the real revelation of the newly released stack of emails. Hayes points out "the shear jaw dropping offensiveness" of a few of those emails.
Hayes: "What kind of work environment exactly would it be all okay to get this in your inbox and then forward it to an unspecified amount of coworkers and subordinates...but think about the kind of work environment in which a chief of staff sends this kind of email to his subordinates. An email that is explicitly homophobic, racist, antisemitic and offensive in every way possible? ... These are the thoughts people who are in charge of things like, oh I don't know, running the states welfare system."
He nailed it. But the press here is about to move on because, as they claim, the state is already firmly divided, so no one wins, no one loses. Really? Or are they just a little too lazy to ask Walker why he likes these people?

Cap Times reporter Jack Craver said this about his current staff on WKOW's Capitol City Sunday (9 am):

Rep. Steve Nass and “The Fightin’ White Racists” Push em back, push em back…way back!!!

There’s only one conclusion I can make regarding Republican Rep. Steve Nass’ fight to keep racist mascot names at schools across the state; he’s probably a blatant racist trying to appeal to fellow racists.

Come on, have you seen this guy. Based on Nass’ logic, a mascot is not racist if you don’t think so, even if everybody else does. So...Nass isn't a racist because...well, he likes racist mascots, it's that simple.

Since Nass is fighting FOR symbols everybody else finds racist, I’m proposing an amendment to his bill that would require at least one school in the state adopt my idea for a sports mascot; “The Fightin’ White Racist.” WISC:

Rep. Stephen Nass, R-Whitewater, drafted a bill to put those decisions back in the school board’s control.

“Every school district with an Indian name, logo or mascot will eventually come under fire,” Nass said. “The Mukwonago school district and all citizens of Mukwonago do not believe it's discriminatory. I don't believe it's discriminatory,” Nass said. “And there is a difference, there is a difference.”
But of course, there is no difference.
Rachel Byington is a Wisconsin Indian Education Association representative. She said there is no excuse, historical or otherwise, for what she sees as discriminating mascots. “We find this offensive and we want it to end, and for people to keep saying, well we're honoring you, but yet the people say we don't feel it's an honor, there's a real mismatch in cultural understanding,” Byington said.

Walker can still pick 'em! What is it about his gallery of rogues? You'd think this would be a big issue.

Is anyone really surprised that the Walker administration, behind the scenes, hates the Hispanic community? This is what they really say behind closed doors, which when revealed isn't a big vote getter. From jsonline's Dan Bice:
In a stunning online rant, a top Gov. Scott Walker official likened illegal immigrants to Satan during a Facebook debate over a bumper sticker declaring open season on foreigners … "You may see Jesus when you look at them," Steven Krieser, assistant deputy secretary at the state Department of Transportation, wrote Tuesday regarding illegal immigrants. "I see Satan." Krieser wrote that a "stream of wretched criminals" is crossing the border without obstruction. These individuals, he said, "completely ruined" entire states and industries, breeding "the animus that many American citizens feel toward them." Walker fired Krieser.
But Krieser didn't get fired for doing this at the state DOT?
He had been paid $96,628 a year as the No. 3 official at DOT. In 2011, he sent a memo to Division of Motor Vehicles employees saying they should not voluntarily tell state residents that they can obtain a voter identification card for free. Krieser distributed the memo after lawmakers passed a law requiring state residents to present identification before they can vote.
Walker didn't have the time or the desire to comment himself, staying as far away as possible so close to his reelection. It's not good when one of his hand picked racists goes off script:
"These comments are repugnant, completely unacceptable, and have no place in Governor Walker's administration," said Tom Evenson, spokesman for Walker. "Governor Walker condemns his views, and they do not represent the governor or his administration in any way."
Isn't it something few question Walker's bad judgement picking people in each of his administrations. There's certainly something he likes about these eventual crooks, bigots and racists. A character trait he  can identify with?

Krieser was only repeating he and others always say in backrooms, because that’s the real Republican attitude toward immigration. Ryan packages his bias under a multi-step plan he knows full well will never result in a path to citizenship or reform.

Even though no apology was necessary, since we already know Krieser’s position, he just couldn't resist making it worse:
Krieser reluctantly apologized, explaining that he had used "a poor choice of words." He eventually said he was sorry for what he said. "If I had it to do over, I would not have put it up," Krieser said. "I certainly didn't mean any offense."
That helped? Get a load of this explanation from Republican Party BS’er Brian Schimming on WKOW TV. To Schimming, no one will remember or care how Republicans really feel about immigrants. And Schimming's got Hispanic friends too, so...move along, nothing to see here:

Conservative columnist Christian Schneider "Name Calls," uses Racial Slur "Greaseball" to describe Supreme Court Candidate.

When you’re making a point about how lousy and sleazy a candidate might be for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court bench, you don’t use a racial slur to make your case.
Vince Megna takes exception at being called a "bottom-feeding greaseball." The so-called slur was included in a Jan. 7 column by Christian Schneider, whose conservative musings are featured on the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Purple Wisconsin webpage. Schneider posits: "Vince Megna is a bottom-feeding greaseball who is simply using his 'run' for Supreme Court to bolster his own name recognition."
A Nazi like Schneider should be fired, and left to blog in his own little echo chamber. Oops...!

Grothman's attack on Kwanzaa GOP's Divide and Conquer Idea of America?

We can thank Republican Sen. Glenn Grothman for giving us a front row seat to the ugliness and racist nature of conservative Americans. His openness about issues that actually bother most conservatives, even though most of the time it’s hard to believe, proves there really is something wrong on that side of the aisle. It’s not spin, it’s not our imagination, it’s not name calling. It's down the rabbit hole.

Something is terribly wrong with Republicans, and the media’s lack of criticism and continued false equivalence between parties has only encouraged them.

Democrats have had enough:

The Democratic Party of Wisconsin's Black Caucus on Wednesday called on Governor Scott Walker to denounce the outrageous comments about the Kwanzaa holiday celebration made by his key ally and top Republican Sen. Glenn Grothman. Grothman, who made headlines when he attacked the legitimacy of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, sent out a bizarre press release Dec. 28th making outrageous claims about Kwanzaa's meaning, its history -- as well as demeaning and patronizing statements about African-Americans.

Stephanie Findley, chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin's Black Caucus, "Grothman, who has minimized the honor due Martin Luther King Jr., says he knows what's best for black people and he directly attacks basic principles of religious liberty in his ill-advised screed. He took a time to celebrate peace and goodwill toward all and warped it into a narrow political appeal to bigots.

"Does Glenn Grothman, in his attacks on African-Americans and religious liberty, speak for Scott Walker's Republican Party? If not, Walker must say so now."

Jason Thompson makes a Great Tommy Spokesman.

Jason has offered us a glimpse at what is said in the backrooms of the Tommy Thompson campaign about our black president.

Jason Thompson said he wanted to send Obama back to Kenya. A big time attorney for the corrupt conservative lawyers at Michael Best and Friedrich, who are under investigation for defying a whole bunch of judges orders to turn over redistricting emails, Jason Thompson was caught at a previous event agreeing with an audience member who suggested Obama go back to Kenya.

Here's Lawrence O'Donnell's well deserved observation, and jab at Tommy and Jason:

And despite Jason's strong perfomance, voters love the "no where to be found" Tommy apparently, by putting him ahead slightly in a new poll. Can't these guys ever do wrong?
Republican Tommy Thompson had 46% and Democrat Tammy Baldwin had 45%, according to the poll by the Marquette University Law School conducted Thursday through Sunday.

Race not an issue for Republicans? Rush and Coulter don't seem to think so.

Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter show their racist stripes with outrageous comments about phony Democratic racism toward blacks. Like Coulter says:
Ann Coulter: "Our blacks are so much better than their blacks..."
Are back to owning blacks again?

The Racist Cain ad gets a media pass.

I've watch coverage of the racist ad below put out by the Cain campaign, and thought at least someone would say what it is, with no luck.

The fact that Herman Cain can perpetuate black stereotypes, and show an outspoken black liberal get beat up, is so outrageously racist and disconnected from reality that I'm stunned no ones brought it up.

Surprise, Sen. Glenn Grothman not big on U.W. Racial Diversity. Pocan Picks him Apart!!!

Rep. Mark Pocan couldn't have been clearer, and Sen. Glenn Grothman couldn't have been more clueless, about an out of state right wing fringe groups attempts to change the UW's admission policy. But as horrific and unwelcome as out-of-stater's are, according to Republicans when it comes to protests against Gov. Walker and the Fitzgerald brothers, they're okay when they organize recalls petitions against Democrats and spread racism.

The five person "clan," disguised as the conservative "Center for Equal Opportunity" think tank, came to Madison from Virginia demanding a statewide referendum to do away with the UW's diversity admissions criteria. Insulted yet?

The CEO opposes affirmative action, bilingual education, Justice Sotomayor...basically anything that has to do with race. Don't laugh, but Grothman actually said this:
Glenn Grothman: "Frederica, what your listeners want to leave this little presentation with is this group had no reason to dislike Wisconsin more than other states..."

Imagine that, a right wing racist hate group having no reason at all to try and dismantle affirmative action on the UW campus, or anyplace for that matter. Silly? Make a special note of the way Mark Pocan completely dismantles the group. This his how Democrats should go on the offensive whenever conservative think tanks introduce more of their obvious and outrageous policy. They aren't a real part of the debate. WPT's Here and Now:

If Herman Cain had his way, Liberals would be in prison for Plotting to Destroy Country.

Herman Cain is an unfiltered representation of the modern day tea party conservative. Cain says what every conservative is thinking, offering a glimpse at what I can only assume is a precursor to hunting liberals down and locking 'em up.

Cain reaffirms every stereotype fabricated about Democrats and minorities by white racists everywhere. Is it really any accident Republicans have swiftly put in place voter suppression laws, right to kill laws and one party corporate ownership of our country?

Brookfield Fire Dept. Employees Forward Racist Obama Email....

...from the same city that decided the Supreme Court election that put abuser Supreme Court Justice David Prosser in for a second term.

That's Waukesha County folks. WISN-TV:

Brookfield Patch: Two clerical workers at the City of Brookfield Fire Department could face disciplinary action after forwarding at work an email about President Barack Obama that the head of the Waukesha County NAACP said Friday was racially offensive.

The emailed photo and message, which have circulated in various online versions for a couple years, had a photo of a large block of coal being transported on an oversize trailer. The photo caption said an interstate was going to be closed because "they are hauling a 200-ton lump of coal so they can add Obama to Mount Rushmore."

NAACP President Lillie Wilson said Friday that the email added: "They couldn't find a 200-ton piece of (expletive)."

"It was definitely racial and it was aimed at our president — saying they were going to chisel out of this coal a head of President Obama because they couldn’t find any other (expletive) to work with," Wilson said.

Wilson said she felt the employees involved should be reprimanded. "I don't think we're paying them to be sending emails around the office," she added.

Mukwonago and Berlin High School administrators not Embarrassed over Possibly Reinstating Stereotypical Racist Mascot Names.

Constitutional free speech rights have granted conservative Waukesha County the right to use derogatory racist names for school mascots.
GreenbayPressGazette: Last October, the DPI ruled that the mascot perpetuates stereotypes of American Indians and is discriminatory. The district was given a year to drop the Indians mascot.

A Waukesha County judge said the state's effort to strip Mukwonago High School of its Indians nickname was unconstitutional. Judge Donald Hassin Jr. ruled last week in favor of residents who challenged the 2010 state law that allowed complaints about Native American nicknames and mascots.

In one of the most confusing disconnected from reality rulings…
The judge agreed that the law — as applied in the case against Mukwonago schools — was unconstitutional because the decision maker — a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction employee — had an impermissibly high risk of bias.

Huh? What bias? Why would a WDP employee be a high risk impermissibly biased person? So derogatory racist names are coming back...
Northwestern: Berlin School officials have put the state-ordered replacement the district’s Indian nickname and logo on hold after a judge overturned a similar order in southeast Wisconsin last week.
This should make Rep. Steve Nass a happy racist.

Republican Sen. Darling on Sen. Lena Taylor: "She doesn't feel like she has to respect the voice and opinions of the chair."

Racism? So far we've seen Rep. Steve Nass call for the resignation of our black Capitol Police Chief Tubbs for not cracking skulls and jailing peaceful protesters, so Republicans could send a message. Now Sen. Alberta Darling is either unwilling to let Democrats finish their sentences, or she's the grand dragon of the Joint Finance Committee. Either way, Darling's dictatorial chairmanship is becoming another political embarrassment for the state of Wisconsin...again.

The amazing interaction between Alberta Darling and Sen. Lena Taylor, as seen in this Fox 6 piece, is further proof democracy has slipped away in Wisconsin after just 8 months of the Republican occupancy. How uppity of Taylor to show such "disrespect:"

Check out Darlings audio comments on WTMJ Radio featured in my previous post on conservative arrogance. Some of that is transcribed here:
Republican State Senator Alberta Darling, Joint Finance Committee Chair, says she's had enough disrespect from Democratic State Senator Lena Taylor and wants her removed. UW-Milwaukee Professor of Governmental Affairs Modecai Lee says this is an unprecedented request. If the removal happened, Democratic leadership in the senate would have to do it.

It started when Sen. Taylor was speaking about the need to pay for the officers who helped control protesters in February and March ... Sen. Darling appeared on a WTMJ radio show saying, "She doesn't feel like she has to respect the voice and the opinions of the chair. She can call people liars. This level of disrespect for the process, disrespect for rules of law and disrespect for the process of doing legislations for the people of Wisconsin is a concern."

National Socialist Movement Rally just a more honest Tea Party Crowd.

A great counter protest blunted the pathetic neo-Nazi protest today in West Allis. It must have been a confusing day for conservatives, who might have agreed with the National Socialist Movement's racist message, but wondered why they went and called it socialist.

Fox 6: Hundreds of counter-protesters crowded in West Allis to shout over the voices of 30 to 40 members of the National Socialist Movement Saturday afternoon. Both sides brought their messages to city hall to be heard.

"That message is not welcome here in our community and we're here to stand together and let them know that we're not going to take that," said Mandela Barnes with Coalition for Racial Justice.

"Are you hate mongers, are we racists, are we biggots?  Absolutely not.  There's nothing hateful or racist about our message," said Jeff Schopp of the National Socialist Movement.

Through fences and police protection, the neo-Nazi group waved flags bearing swastikas. One speaker among the neo-Nazis called the Holocaust a "phony" event. The neo-Nazis say their rally was in response to reports of black youth attacking white people on the opening day of the Wisconsin State Fair.

Rush and Hannity triggered talk radio listener McVay to Plot killing Obama.

Where would a conservative sociopath get the idea that Obama is a danger to our country? From two other conservative sociopaths, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, where else?

How much more proof is needed to make the case we’ve got a problem with racist talk radio hosts, who claim any such message, is “completely unintentional.”

But explain this one:

Accused killer James McVay told WKOW 27 News reporter Tony Galli during a jailhouse interview he intended to reach Washington, D.C. to try to carry out a plot to kill President Obama, with a plan to try to harm the president while he was on a golf course. "One of his favorite pastimes, golfing;   I was going to get him at the golf range,"   McVay told Galli. McVay cited Obama's economic policies and other moves as a basis for the assassination plot, but also said alien forces were using Obama as a "puppet."

McVay said during a period of solitary confinement in a South Dakota prison his feelings hardened against Biden and Obama as he listened to national talk radio shows hosted by Sean Hannity,  Rush Limbaugh and others.

Come on, they'll say, it's just show biz.

Surprisingly missing from McVay's daily listening regime were Thom Hartmann, Ed Schultz, Stephanie Miller, Alan Colmes, Mike Malloy, Randi Rhodes.....

The Sleepy little community of New Berlin has a racism problem, big time.

Since electing our first black president, it was kind of nice to leave all that racism behind...?

The jaw dropping details of the newly christened racist mecca New Berlin, Wisconsin.

jsonline-John Diedrich: U.S. authorities sued New Berlin Thursday, alleging that race was the reason the city blocked a low-income housing development by MSP Real Estate Inc., a violation of the federal Fair Housing Act.

A 13-page complaint filed in court spells out the lengths to which city leaders and staff went to block the project, even revising the city's 2020 comprehensive plan. "The defendant's actions as described herein were taken because of race," it said. The complaint details threats against the mayor and his children and racially derogatory terms used during the controversy. The project developer, MSP, also has a pending lawsuit in federal court against the city.

Mayor Jack Chiovatero was unsuccessfully targeted for recall for his initial support of the project. He later changed his position.

The pressures prompted Chiovatero to email a friend."Our city is filled with prejudiced and bigoted people who with very few facts are making this project into something evil and degrading," he wrote. "Unfortunately, I will be doing everything in my power to end this project, it will result in lawsuits and making New Berlin a community of bigots."

What was so bad that the Fed stepped in? Fox 6 in Milwaukee:

Opposition was strong, with some expressing concern that the prospective tenants would be African-Americans or other minorities and used racially derogatory terms … The complaint says the correspondence mentioned "white flight," "crime," "drugs," "gangs," "families with 10 or 15 kids," of needing "to get a gun," of "slums," of not wanting New Berlin to turn into "Milwaukee," of moving to New Berlin "to get away from the poor people," of not wanting to provide housing to people "who work but do not live here." They also used racially derogatory term for African-Americans.

A sign that read "n----- lover" was placed in the mayor's yard. "Bigot" was spray painted on his driveway. "Leave or _ _ _" was written on his fence, the complaint says. Chiovatero and his family received threatening phone calls. His children were approached by opponents, his car tires were slashed, and his car windows were shot through, it says.

In March, the Metropolitan Milwaukee Fair Housing Council filed a federal discrimination complaint against Waukesha County, contending it has been engaged in illegal housing discrimination in violation of rules it needed to follow in receiving some federal money.
