More Fiorina BS: blames "Democrat Party" instead of GOP, for treating women as a special interest group.

Note to Carly Fiorina, we are the DEMOCRATIC PARTY...DemocraTIC Party!!!

In Fiorina's new ad in response to Trump's comment about her expressionless face, she mangles the party's name and tells the Democrat Party that women are not special interests. Sorry Carly, tell that to your own Republic Party.

DEMOCRATIC PARTY: So which is it; is Fiorina intentionally spitting in the face of every Democratic American, or does she not know how to say the name of the oldest U.S. political party. I say both.

Since it's intellectually insulting, Democratic Party members shouldn't tolerate this divisive verbal attack without correcting every disrespectful Republican who snorts this out. It's time we stop being the abused partner in all this.

I edited together the offending remark from Fiorina's ad below. It's as egregious as it sounds:

Walker’s Shocking Disrespect for Women!!! Says “People around (Burke) have to set her up to be angry at me,” and debate was “largely to ignore my opponent.”

A double Romney moment for Walker? You won't believe...

Scott Walker made it very clear where he thinks Mary Burke belongs, and it wasn't standing next to him as a respected candidate for the governorship.

In a stunning moment of rightwing authoritarian arrogance, Walker couldn't hide his glee over the resulting GOP spin regarding Burke’s hesitation to compliment him, as if he deserved it. jsonline:
Republicans noted after the debate that Burke appeared ungracious when the candidates were asked to name something that they admired in the other.

Walker said, "You think usually when you go second you get a moment to catch your thoughts. I think that's probably a reflection of the people around her (who) have so set her up to be angry at me."
Yea, we need to fill Burke's empty head with anger. Reflecting his attitude and ruling style that relegates the opposition to second class status:
Walker said his goal during the debate was "largely to ignore my opponent and really just spend my time talking to the people of this state."
Seriously, did he just say this?

Scott Walker and Brad Schimel offer to protect Women in Latest Ads, from abuse and sex offenders.

With forced ultrasound tests, closed Planned Parenthood clinics around the state, the removal of punitive damages in local courts for pay equity lawsuits...among others, Republicans have a "war on women" problem.

So what does the GOP and Walker campaign do? Put out fear mongering, desperate, grotesque over-the-top ads that try make the party of women's rights look like psychos plucked out of TV's Criminal Minds.

This old soft on crime tactic has reemerged as "R" rated ads revealing their world view; where scary predator filth are stalking women. Thank god men like Scott Walker and DA Brad Schimel have dedicated themselves to protect women.

Nothing says war on women like two men, Walker and Schimel, telling us we can't trust two women candidates to advance women's rights or offer legal protections from abusers and employer discrimination. My head is hurting again. Starting with Walker's latest, here are the two ads together. They are soooooo desperate:

Suddenly a month out, Walker cares, and he's right on message:

Even Michelle Obama became a target of the "phony outrage brigade" with this transparent attempt to limit the damage:
AP: Republicans on Tuesday accused Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke of showing a "cavalier attitude" toward domestic violence in using a song by pop star Chris Brown before an appearance with first lady Michelle Obama. But Burke's campaign said the song was an unauthorized addition to its playlist and won't be used again.

Phony Outrage!!! Are Republican not the most shameless losers ever?

You may have heard, Republicans appeal to their voters intelligence, not their emotions. Give us all a huge frigging break.

The phony outrage over DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz is so over the top, surprisingly promoted by the press, that I can't sit back and just shake my head. This is what the conservative tea party "stand with Walker" base needed to get out to vote and donate money; phony livid outrage.

Thanks to the media, like jsonline, picking up on the WISGOP mindless talking point:
"Wasserman Schultz used domestic violence language to critque Walker's record."
She did? Domestic violence...really? I immediately thought of a Flintstones metaphor, where cavemen dragged women by their hair. But leave it to the right wing losers who have nothing else run on but a created pile of phony outrage. Here's Schultz's quote:
"Scott Walker has given women the back of his hand. I know that is stark. I know that is direct. But that is reality. What Republican tea party extremists like Scott Walker are doing is they are grabbing us by the hair and pulling us back. And that's unacceptable. It is not going to happen on our watch."
True. Oh, I forgot, I'm outraged. Don't take my word for it, check out this ridiculous response by our would be governor (if Walker becomes president), Lt Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch:
Republican Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch, who said she was "shocked" that domestic violence language was used to discuss political disagreements. "I think the remarks were absolutely hideous and the motive behind them was despicable," Kleefisch said.
Dumb? Of course. A reference to domestic violence? Thank you WISGOP/Scott Walker Campaign for saying it was.

ALEC exec and State Rep. Leah Vukmir even asked Mary Burke to denounce Schulz's statement, who, oops, came out with a very clear comment a few minutes after the the phony outrage surfaced on Wednesday:
Burke campaign: "That's not the type of language that Mary Burke would use, or has used, to point out the clear differences in this contest. There is plenty that she and Governor Walker disagree on — but those disagreements can and should be pointed out respectfully."
Maybe the Republicans will ask Rep. Ron Kind, Mark Pocan and President Obama to also denounce. Oh, that's coming? See if you've heard this before:
Walker campaign spokeswoman Alleigh Marre told reporters that Burke's statement didn't go far enough and that she should be asked why she stopped short of denouncing the comments and asking the Congresswoman to apologize.
God this pathetic. Look at the national coverage over nothing, this trumped up piece of WISGOP lunacy:

Thankfully, Schultz didn't backtrack to badly:
"I shouldn't have used the words I used. But that shouldn't detract from the broader point that I was making that Scott Walker's policies have been bad for Wisconsin women, whether it's mandating ultrasounds, repealing an equal pay law, or rejecting federal funding for preventative health care, Walker's record speaks for itself."
As on person commented:
 In other News............

1) Right-wing republicans are "outraged?" Big deal - For them it is a way of life!

2) Scott Walker is raising money? Scott Walker is ALWAYS RAISING MONEY! Slow news day?

RNC Chair Reince Priebus would much rather change topics than change policy on women's issues.

The RNC's Reince Priebus is so wonderfully clueless that it's actually fun to post his commentary.

Onion News
This bumbling Barney Fife like character continues to inadvertently reveal the elaborate con behind the his party's "secret" policy decisions.

After an internal poll discovered conservative women are not at all happy with the party's direction on women's issues, instead of changing their position on contraception, transvaginal probes, choice, equal pay and charter schools, Reince told Chuck Todd that changing the subject was the better way to go.

Reince thinks women will forget everything else if Republican men can just present a plan to create jobs, because...:
"Women don't really...ah, don't really...aren't really moved on these issues... In fact if Republicans talk about things like the economy, the debt and make the case for jobs and schools and education and push back, I think Republicans will win it by more..."

Politico reported on Wednesday that the Crossroads GPS and American Action Network report found that women think the GOP is "intolerant," "lacking in compassion," and "stuck in the past." According to the report, 49 percent of women view the Republican Party unfavorably, and 39 percent of women view Democrats unfavorably.
At least the GOP has an advantage with young guys that look like old men. The Onion;

Maddow: Dumb Ron Johnson's backhanded attitude toward the victims of Sexual Predators.

Instead of editing for time, here's the MSNBC long version of the Dumb Ron Johnson/Rep. Bill Kramer sexual assault story, compliments of Rachel Maddow, that shows just how much he cares about women's issues. As noted below from the nice summary provided by Think Progress, Johnson is a powerful defender of predator rights.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported a third alleged assault three years earlier. The victim was an aide to Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), who informed Johnson, his chief of staff, and a Waukesha County GOP official at the time, though no one took action.

Although Johnson did not violate laws by not reporting the crime, he has had a spotted voting record on taking sexual abuse and harassment seriously. In 2010, Johnson testified against a bill that would have made it easier for victims of child abuse to sue their abusers. Explaining that the bill would “likely create” “economic havoc,” Johnson said he thought trial lawyers would benefit from the Child Victims Act, but not the actual victims. “This bill could actually have the perverse effect of leading to additional victims of sexual abuse,” he claimed, “if individuals, recognizing that their organizations are at risk, become less likely to report suspected abuse.”

Last February, Johnson was one of 22 Senators, all Republican, who voted against an expanded reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act. At the time, he claimed that the bill’s provisions for Native American rape survivors an “unconstitutional expansion of tribal authority.”

State GOP try to hide War on Women black eye with Kramer Ouster.

The state GOP is going so far over the top removing Rep. Bill Kramer as majority leader, that they can't be really serious. Have you ever seen such a fiasco? They even replaced him with a woman, Rep. Pat Strachota. Remember when Republicans tried to replace Obama with Herman Cain? Or Hillary with Sarah Palin? Kramer with Strachota?

This is an oh so transparent attempt to look like the great defenders of women everywhere, to counter their war on women persona and apparent loss of women voters.

Watch this Channel3000 coverage and see for yourself. It was an embarrassing excessive outpouring of damage control:

Saturday, March 1, 2014

Creepy Assembly Majority Leader Bill Kramer asked to step down for Sexual Harassment.

Arrogant Rep. Bill Kramer apparently didn't take no for answer. He took his war on women on the road to Washington, harassing a "33-year-old female lobbyist and at least one other woman."
"Kramer is accused of groping at least one of the women and making lewd and inappropriate remarks to at least two women."

State Rep. Chris Kapenga accused Kramer of acting inappropriately at a recent meeting of the American Legislative Exchange Council in Chicago. Kapenga said in September that Kramer has often displayed poor behavior at various events.
There's more:
AP: The Republican majority leader in the state Assembly has been asked to resign his post because of allegations that he sexually harassed multiple women at a meeting in Washington, two Republicans with direct knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press on Saturday. Rep. Bill Kramer, of Waukesha, was elected by Republican Assembly members as majority leader in September.

GOP Assembly leaders met late Friday to discuss the situation and agreed that Kramer should step down as majority leader. Kramer did not immediately return a message left at his Capitol office. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel went to Kramer's home Friday night but he was not there.

Walker and Ryan don't have time for all the "smaller freedoms" Americans are losing.

A recent Tweet got my curiosity up enough to write the following post on the governing style of a true Rightwing Authoritarian sociopath like Scott Walker. This isn't a case of name calling, but instead a loud warning to voters who might want Walker to address their concerns someday. Popular support of certain issues, whether through polling or public protests, are of little concern to "Walker the leader."

Check out this International Business Times article from April 2012 about our supposed brave and "Unintimidated" governor:

Walker's lack of concern is shockingly revealed in this WKOW Greg Neumann interview around Christmas. Walker doesn't sweat the little things, like women's health, because freedom stripping laws are simply media created controversies. Again, our incidental governor is not to blame:

Over and over again Republicans are very clear about their desire for absolute control, like this jaw dropping statement from Paul Ryan. Honestly, I can't get this one out of my head:

Mike "Uncle Sugar" Huckabee thinks Liberal men control Women like Conservative men think they do.

If you were ever unclear about the subservient roll women must play under Republican rule, than watch this clip of Mike Huckabee "projecting" how he thinks liberal men treat women.

Huckabee has to create this false premise in order to attack birth control.
OurFuture: In a speech to the Republican National Committee: “If the Democrats want to insult the women of America by making them believe that they are helpless without Uncle Sugar coming in and providing for them prescription each month for birth control because they cannot control their libido or their reproductive system without the help of the government, then so be it.”
Huckabee is so wrong that at times he's saying just the opposite of what he intended. An early start on the war on women this midterm election season:

Funny story: in 2005, Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee signed a law mandating Arkansas insurance plans provide contraception coverage, including church-affiliated organizations such as hospitals and universities.

Texas' War on Women sign of Governmental Despotism. Where Citizen Protests are called "unruly mobs," and the "Occupy Wall Street type mentality" will not be tolerated.

Two words describing the current direction the Republican Party is taking us, in lieu of winning over voters:

Despotism:  A form of government in which a group, as in an oligarchy means to "rule in the fashion of a despot."

Authoritarianism: Characterized by or favoring absolute obedience to authority, as against individual freedom, expecting unquestioning obedience.

Like our new direction? That's were we're headed, and all without one peep from the press about these exciting "new" action words to describe our government. Ironically, this nation began as a movement away from despotism. More on that at the bottom of this post.

Not to get too sidetracked, but I also did a post about the tired and silly argument made by Republicans that we are “not a democracy, we are a republic.” Yet in the outrageous story below about the abortion debate in Texas, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst repeats over and over how in a “democracy,” the will of the people must not be abridged.

Forget the Constitutional protection against the tyranny of the majority. Republican lawmakers think they are the “respected” elite, and thus, must be obeyed. I've edited the clip to the shocking essentials:

Media Matters: The Texas lieutenant governor's recent threat that statehouse reporters could potentially be arrested and jailed if their behavior is deemed "not respectful" of the legislature is being called "worrisome" and "absurd" by Texas journalists. Several editors and reporters said Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst's threats of potential arrest. "As I listened to this, I said, 'what the hell is this, you're going to throw us in jail?'" said Wayne Slater, a longtime political reporter for the Dallas Morning News, who posted video of the HotAir.com interview on his blog. Dewhurst said:
“…if I find as I've been told examples of the media waving and trying to inflame the crowd, incite them in the direction of a riot, I'm going to take action against them. That is wrong. And we have a provision in our rules that if people (are not) respectful of the legislative process, one of our rules says we can imprison them up to 48 hours … we take a democratic policy seriously."
Within a day, Dewhurst's office backpedaled from the threat, claiming they had reviewed tapes of the session and found nothing worth pursuing.

Steve Proctor, managing editor of the Houston Chronicle (said) … even a hint of such action can be negative to reporters' work.

Jonathan Tilove, an Austin American-Statesman reporter who covered the session (said), "It presumes there was a riot that was incited. There was no riot, there was a raucous display. And they barely even gaveled to try and restore order. If [the arrest threat] was serious, it would be a terrible thing."

Gromer Jeffers of the Dallas Morning News, a 13-year statehouse and political reporter, called the talk of arrests "surprising" and said it could have a "chilling effect" on coverage."
What's frightening is how many times Republican have to to be reminded, by the press, that they are headed for despotic/authoritarian kind of government. How long will it be before even these reminders won't be enough? Ironically, our nation grew out of its opposition to despotism:
Encyclopedia: In the United States Declaration of Independence, the British government is cited to have been reducing the American people under absolute despotism: "But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security".

Grand Ann Romney says Mitt's video needs Context....

It's not a good sign when a candidates own wife acts like an arrogant elitist ass, leaving the campaign open for more criticism. In an area where most people give a pass to a potential first lady, Ann Romney stands out as a truly horrible person. Nasty, deserving, arrogant, entitled and petty are all the words I can roll off quickly to describe Ann Romney.

First, Ann made an appearance in Wisconsin, where she claimed if you just watch the whole tragic video of her husband trashing the 47 percenters, you'll "get the context of it." Amazing.

Secondly, Ann appears to talk down to women, by saying in her speech:
Ann Romney: "I know we need to have women out there understand..."
Come on women, don't you get it yet? She is a horrible horrible person.

Here's Ann's now famous "stop it" interview. Oh, the pain of running for president....

Gas Prices a Mother's Issue? Romney Campaign thinks so...

Despite a very public full frontal attack on women's health, pay and choice, Republicans are still able to find a few low information one issue women to do their dirty work. And to work against their own best interests.
WEAU: Some women in the area met up Monday night to support the Romney/Ryan ticket … It is called the "Wisconsin Mother's Drive the Economy Phone Bank" … from the Eau Claire County Republican Headquarters. They say in Eau Claire every Monday night is women's night, meaning they have female callers and emphasize issues important to women.
And what would be an important women’s...I mean, mother's issue? Choice, equal pay, mandated ultrasounds, contraception, access to health care?
One volunteer told us why she believes Romney is the right choice for her family. "It appeals to me that he is going to free up energy development to lower the price of gas that is really hurting not just our gas bill every month, but our grocery bill every month," said Emily Power.
Yup, drill baby drill. It’s not even a real issue. Prices at the pump are set by the world market.

This phone bank campaign effort by Romney, should dispel the silliness of a supposed “war on women,” right?
Republicans have been making a strong pro-mother, pro-women push on the campaign trail, trying to reject the democratic notion that Republicans are waging a war on women.

Here are a few of the posted comments:
-These women made me laugh right out loud... they don't even know what they are voting for.... and why not put it out there how ignorant women can be. Keep listening to the "man" in your life ... I hope someday you all get a voice of your own. This isn't even really funny... I feel sad for them. It's. Too bad.. I know so many women that just go with what the man says.. come on...I know you all know better....

-Unfortunately this is exactly what republicans bank on, the ignorance of the common person. They hope we vote out of emotion or feelings and remain uninformed. Sounds like these women meet the profile.

-I so agreed -- especially after watching the one-on-one interview -- she had absolutely no clue other than the garbage she's been fed -- really disappointing to see women so uninformed!

Vagina Clad Code Pink Protesters, speak out against War on Women.

For pure entertainment value, I enjoyed the latest protest from Code Pink, where they dressed up as vaginas. Kinda reminds of the Melinda DuChamp book cover, Fifty Shades of Alice through the Looking Glass.
GlobalPost: Activist group Code Pink put on a colorful display of protest at the Republican National Convention Monday, arriving dressed as bright pink vaginas to speak out against the "war on women" and corporate money in politics, according to the group's website. "I want to make waves here in Tampa," one vagina-clad activist told BuzzFeed. "I want the Republicans to see that there's dissent and that we're not going to stand for their rhetoric against women — most recently, Representative Akin making that comment about 'legitimate rape,'" she said.

Republicans seem to be doing more to break down the traditional silence of talking about a woman's sexuality and body parts, than the 60's sexual revolution, bra burning's, Betty Friedan and Hugh Hefner combined.

I especially liked one woman's response to the question, why dress up? "To make a scene," she smiled.

Ann Romney's Vacuous Speech, and Contempt for Women, never addressed Struggling Families.

Leave it to MSNBC's seasoned curmudgeon Lawrence O'Donnell for delivering the only honest critique of Ann Romney's elitist attempt to appear concerned about the very women her husband is marginalizing as Americans. It's short, to the point and almost too kind in my opinion:

Ann Romney reminds me of those cliquey girls in high school who sneered at individuality.

Can Speaker John Boehner get away with saying that?

The first thing out of Boehner's mouth in the clip below should be in almost every ad this campaign season for Democrats. After this, is there really any question on whether Republicans are waging a war on women? Boehner even gets an applause from his fellow misogynistic gang members.

Walker on the War of Women, "In the larger context, it's a bogus issue."

Revelation; Labor got in the way of Scott Walker's attack on unions, and women got in the way of Walker's attack on trial lawyers. All potential sources of campaign money used to back Democratic candidates.

Walker is on automatic when he tries to tie his agenda to the "taxpayer," an overused focus group tested word that only serves his purely political agenda. Even the partisan Supreme Court ruled in Citizens United that union and corporate money in campaigns represented free speech.

The War on Women is a bogus issue to Scott Walker.

In Walker's disastrous appearance on Upfront with Mike Gousha (goo-shay), Scotty smiles his way through what most women would consider a serious discussion over the issue of equal pay. His convoluted reasons why the law wasn't important pale in comparison to his drive to vilify and neuter private sector lawyers from contributing to Democratic campaigns.

Do women find Walker's flippant behavior insulting?

Walker got so carried away BSing, that he actually said the conservative Wisconsin State Journal was liberal and sided with him about how silly the war on women was. After all, everything in Dane County is liberal, so that means the WSJ is too.

Scott Walker and J.B. Van Hollen say war on women just the opposite, making "advances and the protection of women." Who Knew?

The question is; how many Wisconsinites will fall for the "Alright, move on, nothing to see here" Jedi mind trick that Republicans are using to claim the war on women, is a complete fiction. Like the war on caterpillars?

Marching in what Reince Priebus calls "lock step," Scott Walker and AG J.B. Van Hollen also parroted the most idiotic denial of the year, when they defended the newly signed abortion restrictions and gutted equal pay law as...protecting woman. Thank you father government:
J.B. Van Hollen: "Most of the legislation signed by the governor today makes tremendous advances and the protection of women. So I would submit that it's just the opposite of what you suggest."
Suggest? Let's be clear, it's a war on women, and no one I know is "suggesting" anything. J.B. apparently doesn't think women are smart enough today to navigate the older, better workplace discrimination laws and abortion options. Channel3000:

Did you catch that at the end of the video? Paul Ryan and Scott Walker have made it no secret that what they see as leadership and courage to make hard budget decisions, is nothing but an authoritarian one party takeover that gives them a reason to ignore citizen protests. The children won't like it, but they must take their medicine. It's so hard being an autocrat, where's the love?
