Scott Walker's pick, Ted "Lucifer in the Flesh" Cruz, proves he's still a bad judge of character

It's fun to watch "stand with Walker" drones struggle to explain their party leaders choice of Ted Cruz. Even funnier still were the words John Boehner used to set the record straight about the Senate's most disliked SOB.

With Borg-like precision, Republicans marched in lockstep to vote for Ted Cruz, a guy they really hated, just because Scott Walker said so. Then they tried to explain away what was essentially a Trump protest vote, as if they were sincerely trying to elect the best man.

After six Walker associates were convicted in the first John Doe investigation, Walker again proved that he was still a bad judge of character, appearing in this Wisconsin get out the vote ad for Cruz:

Ryan Fumbles GOP Immigration Reform Debacle, disingenuously blaming "untrustworthy" Obama while discrediting John Boehner.

Republicans can’t govern, that much is clear. But blaming others for their incompetence is treading in dangerous territory.

After hypocritically fumbling around on family leave, new Speaker Ryan didn’t just play the race card portraying Obama as “untrustworthy,” but he tried to shift the blame for congressional inaction on immigration to the president as well:  

"I do not believe we should advance comprehensive immigration legislation with a president who has proven himself untrustworthy on this issue." Ryan said Obama ... went around Congress to take executive actions shielding from deportation millions of people living in the country illegally.

One of the reasons Obama used an executive order was to get something, anything done on immigration. 

And Ryan had a part in delaying immigration reform, inaction that will negatively impact rural conservative farmers dependent on immigrant labor. 

White House spokesman Josh Earnest called the remark 'preposterous' … "pandering to the extreme right wing" ... "ironic." He said it's Ryan who supported an immigration deal, then failed to push for it to come up for a vote in the House.

Ryan "Discredits" outgoing John Boehner! I loved this backhanded yet unintentionally stupid swipe at former Speaker John Boehner. For anyone still thinking Ryan is wonkish and smart, this should dispel that myth. My head is hurting again:

Ryan: "This job can't be done like it was done. If I pick up where John Boehner left off, then I think we won't be successful. That's not a discredit to John Boehner, that's just a discredit to the way the jobs been done!"

John Boehner did a great job doing a lousy job? OMG....only in the GOP bubble does that make any sense.

As if he were stinkin' drunk, Boehner pointed at Reid, and said, "Go F**k Yourself." Republicans never resort to name calling do they?

Republican Party thugs and bullies can't seem to take the heat, or the hard ball game of politics anymore. They're whiny victims and scared insecure wimps. 

The leader of them all resides in the House. Speaker John Boehner not only looks like a 50's TV con artist and alcoholic, he talks like one (Gig Young comes to mind).

Politico: It was only a few days before the nation would go over the fiscal cliff, no bipartisan agreement was in sight, and Reid had just publicly accused Boehner of running a “dictatorship” in the House and caring more about holding onto his gavel than striking a deal.

“Go f— yourself,” Boehner sniped as he pointed his finger at Reid, according to multiple sources present.

Reid, a bit startled, replied: “What are you talking about?”

Boehner repeated: “Go f— yourself.”

Gee, I wonder how right wing talkers would have reacted if Pelosi or Reid said the same thing?

You've got to see the disaster that was John Boehner on Face the Nation today. Boehner continued to falsely claim the Affordable Care Act was a government takeover of health care...which is is NOT.

Boehner, like all Republicans, never has grasped the idea of buying in quantity and getting a lower price. That’s the whole insurance system model. Or they do understand it, ignore it, and want to shift the high cost of preexisting conditions off onto the public, saving private insurers the cost of treating the sick while boosting their profits.

NORAH O'DONNELL: What about preexisting conditions? What about the millions of Americans that have preexisting conditions and are discriminated against?

REPRESENTATIVE JOHN BOEHNER: We believe that the way it is done within Obamacare is-- is pushing the cost of health insurance for all Americans much too high. We believe that the state high-risk pools are a much more effective way to making sure that those with preexisting conditions have access to affordable health insurance.

Here’s were O’Donnell catches Boehner in the Republican lie that they intend to anything at all (my emphasis parenthetical):

NORAH O'DONNELL: So when you repeal this, what are you going to replace it with?

REPRESENTATIVE JOHN BOEHNER: (Long pause, stumped) …I just started pointing out. We're going take a common-sense, step-by-step approach…

Those companies 50 or larger are doing alright. If they can’t provide health care for their employees then they’re freeloading off the system and forcing their employees into state Medicaid programs:

NORAH O'DONNELL (overlapping): The White House says for employers if you have twenty-five or fewer employees, you actually get a tax benefit. If you have fifty or fewer employers, you don't have to provide them health insurance. So how is that hurting small businesses?

REPRESENTATIVE JOHN BOEHNER: ….a lot of employers are just going to pay the tax and dump their employees into these health exchanges. Well, they are not going to be able to keep their health insurance that they have. 

Hypocrite! Republicans want to make individuals health care payments tax deductible, just like business, which means businesses will drop coverage in a second. Sen. McCain wanted to do away with the business tax deduction completely, which again, would have dumped everyone into the individual market. So letting people “keep their health insurance” is complete bull and not a concern.

NORAH O'DONNELL: Why not, then, if you like some of the provisions in the Affordable Care Act, why not work with it rather than ap-- repeal the whole thing.

REPRESENTATIVE JOHN BOEHNER (overlapping): No, no, no.

NORAH O'DONNELL: Even Mitt Romney said--

REPRESENTATIVE JOHN BOEHNER (overlapping): No, this has to be-- this has to be ripped out by its roots. This is government taking over the entire health insurance industry.

Which it is not. 

Can Speaker John Boehner get away with saying that?

The first thing out of Boehner's mouth in the clip below should be in almost every ad this campaign season for Democrats. After this, is there really any question on whether Republicans are waging a war on women? Boehner even gets an applause from his fellow misogynistic gang members.
