Like Walker, Kleefisch plays Race Card, says Tiki Torch White Nationalism No "Big Deal!"

White nationalism...no big deal? Not for Lilly white Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch, who made an amazingly shocking admission in a recent tweet about black Democratic Lt. Gov. candidate Mandela Barnes; tiki torch carrying white nationalism no big deal. That goes along with the Trumpian meme; Black Lives Matter is a terrorist group and kneeling players support them.

Oh, and somewhere in Becky's brain, this made sense; white nationalism = tonsillectomies?

You can't make this kind of stuff up:

I should note that like all conservative policy, Kleefisch's claim is based on anecdotal, second-hand information that's often made up, or what conspiratorial Republicans like to call "facts."

Asked Monday if she had seen Barnes kneeling during the national anthem or had seen evidence of him kneeling, she answered, “What I mentioned was that people had told me this.” She did not say who those people were.

“It was at an event that we both attended at the opening of State Fair Park at the Wisconsin State Fair, during the playing of the national anthem. As I always do, I was looking at the flag with my hand over my heart.”

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett made the more logical conclusion, racism:

Barrett said he believes the allegations are "racially tinged." "Here in the state they've perfected the dog whistle," Barrett said. He added that the only difference is at the national level President Donald Trump instead uses a "circus whistle."

She backed off of her claim Tuesday, a day after she tried to stick by it. "I have to believe him and I have to apologize for something I was told," Kleefisch said on WTMJ-AM (620).

You're not Victims, you're White Nationalists!

The Republican Party's victim act is not just getting old, but needs to stop, now.

Being an adult, and applying just a little common sense tells us this has gone too far. Oh, and the use of these two magic words, "left wing," doesn't suddenly make racism disappear:

WHA: Trump supporters, such as National Review Online contributing editor Deroy Murdock, contend that tying Trump to white supremacy is no more than a cynical political ploy. "The 'Donald Trump = David Duke' narrative is a bright, shining, left-wing lie."

And don't you love the switcheroo where Republicans, who terrify white voters with threats of illegal immigration, Black Lives Matter, and the Muslim faith, falsely blame Democrats for using that very tactic. It's the old second-grade retort "I know you are but what am I?"

"It’s designed to make Trump radioactive, sandbag his agenda, and terrify black voters so they’ll stampede the polls and save the Democrats’ bacon in November 2018. The Left deserves universal scorn for deploying such political plutonium," said Murdock.

Political plutonium? The ploy here is to use "bright and shiny" words that are so over the top, that at least a little of that must be true, right? But just a little common sense cuts through the fear-mongering:

rise in hate groups started in 2000, and that’s the year when the census said white people will become a minority in 2040s. Trump played into racist instincts. They (white supremacist groups) view Trump as a good political force for their beliefs."
Alix Olson, a retired Madison Police Department detective who founded the organization Seeking Tolerance and Justice Over Hate, said Trump’s election has emboldened hate groups "who felt before that they didn't have a voice. This administration has given carte blanche to white supremacy. Everything is starting to become undone to the detriment of people who have way less power than white people do."

The abandonment of common sense has gotten so bad that even this clueless former president couldn't hold back from saying the obvious:

Former president George W. Bush to call on the public to reject white supremacy and racism. "Bigotry or white supremacy in any form is blasphemy against the American creed. Bullying and prejudice in our public life sets a national tone, provides permission for cruelty and bigotry, and compromises the moral education of children."

It has always fascinated me to see how Republicans were always hell bent on destroying everything liberal. They hate it when they see the Democrats solving the countries problems with big government liberalism. So what's their counter attack? Simply repeal the Democratic agenda. That's it! Problems, what problems?

1. His political career began in advocacy of birtherism, that modern recasting of the old American precept that black people are not fit to be citizens of the country they built. But long before birtherism, Trump had made his worldview clear. He fought to keep blacks out of his buildings, according to the U.S. government; called for the death penalty for the eventually exonerated Central Park Five; and railed against “lazy” black employees. “Black guys counting my money! I hate it,” Trump was once quoted as saying. “The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day.” After his cabal of conspiracy theorists forced Barack Obama to present his birth certificate, Trump demanded the president’s college grades (offering $5 million in exchange for them), insisting that Obama was not intelligent enough to have gone to an Ivy League school, and that his acclaimed memoir, Dreams From My Father, had been ghostwritten by a white man, Bill Ayers.

2. Trump is the first president to have served in no public capacity before ascending to his perch. But more telling, Trump is also the first president to have publicly affirmed that his daughter is a “piece of ass.” The mind seizes trying to imagine a black man extolling the virtues of sexual assault on tape (“When you’re a star, they let you do it”), fending off multiple accusations of such assaults, immersed in multiple lawsuits for allegedly fraudulent business dealings, exhorting his followers to violence, and then strolling into the White House. But that is the point of white supremacy—to ensure that that which all others achieve with maximal effort, white people (particularly white men) achieve with minimal qualification. Barack Obama delivered to black people the hoary message that if they work twice as hard as white people, anything is possible. But Trump’s counter is persuasive: Work half as hard as black people, and even more is possible.

3. For Trump, Obama ... a black president, insulted him personally ... when Obama and Seth Meyers publicly humiliated him at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in 2011. Replacing Obama is not enough—Trump has made the negation of Obama’s legacy the foundation of his own. And this too is whiteness. “Race is an idea, not a fact,” the historian Nell Irvin Painter has written, and essential to the construct of a “white race” is the idea of not being a nigger. Before Barack Obama, niggers could be manufactured out of Sister Souljahs, Willie Hortons, and Dusky Sallys. But Donald Trump arrived in the wake of something more potent—an entire nigger presidency with nigger health care, nigger climate accords, and nigger justice reform, all of which could be targeted for destruction or redemption, thus rectifying the idea of being white. Trump truly is something new—the first president whose entire political existence hinges on the fact of a black president.

Trump probably wanted to miss an opportunity to come out against white supremacy, a large part of his base, but didn't missed an opportunity to retweet his support of the alt right...

CNN: Donald Trump's penchant for retweets once again raised eyebrows, after he recirculated a tweet on Friday from a user with the handle "WhiteGenocideTM."

The profile -- with about 2,300 followers -- used the name "Donald Trumpovitz," linked to a website containing a pro-Adolf Hitler documentary, featured a background photo with red lettering saying "Get the F--- Out of My Country" and had a location of "Jewmerica." The account also includes a photo of George Lincoln Rockwell, founder of the American Nazi Party.

Self-described “pro-white” activist Jason Kessler organized the rally to protest the planned removal of a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee from a park in Charlottesville. Kessler is affiliated with the “alt-right” movement that uses internet trolling tactics to argue against diversity and “identity politics” — part of a broader cultural backlash that helped elect Donald Trump.

But the rally quickly attracted other more traditional groups of white nationalists, neo-Nazis, and the Ku Klux Klan.

The rise of the alt-right is one face of a broader backlash against “identity politics” and “political correctness,” which have left some white Americans feeling that they’re losing ground to nonwhites — or that America is losing its identity — and that political, economic, and media elites are either uninterested in defending their heritage or actively trying to eradicate it.

But racist rhetoric has become a hallmark of the movement, from the use of “cuck” to deride anti-alt-right conservatives to Twitter harassment of Jewish journalists by photoshopping them into images of Nazi gas chambers.

That crosses the line into ideologies that most Americans agree are taboo. People may believe that Donald Trump supporters aren’t necessarily racists, but they are willing to agree that members of the Klan and Nazis are racists. Indeed, it’s a contrast with those groups that allows some people to draw the line between “real racism” and liberals “crying wolf” about racism.

Soledad O'Brien on Media unwittingly Normalizing White Supremacy, based on "what seems fair!!!"

Conservatives I've talked to are no longer held back by the appearance of blatant racism anymore, because the right wing has reworded the terminology in a way that makes it an acceptable condition. How many times have you heard conservatives claim, "we're all racists now?" And just like that, it's okay.

Republicans deserve all the credit for successfully selling the American public on the oldest school yard taunt, "I know you are but what am I?"

Until now. I'm hoping Soledad O'Brien's recent comments below ring out, exposing one of the most important issues of the presidential campaign; the media's inability to understand how it is "normalizing white supremacy." Raw Story:

Former CNN host Soledad O’Brien blasted the cable news business for profiting off the hate speech that has fueled Donald Trump’s political rise. According to O’Brien, the media had gone through “contortions to make things seem equal all the time” when comparing Trump to Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

“If you look at Hillary Clinton’s speech where she basically pointed out that what Donald Trump has done — actually quite well — has normalized white supremacy. I think she made a very good argument, almost like a lawyer. Here is ways in which he has actually worked to normalize conversations that many people find hateful.

I’ve seen on-air, white supremacists being interviewed because they are Trump delegates. And they do a five minute segment, the first minute or so talking about what they believe as white supremacists. So you have normalized that.

And then Donald Trump will say, ‘Hillary Clinton, she’s a bigot.’ And it’s covered, the journalist part comes in, ‘They trade barbs. He said she’s a bigot and she points out that he might be appealing to racists.’ It only becomes ‘he said, she said.’ When in actuality, the fact that Donald Trump said she’s a bigot without the long laundry list of evidence, which if you looked at Hillary Clinton’s speech, she actually did have a lot of really good factual evidence that we would all agree that are things that have happened and do exist. They are treated as if they are equal.”

Soledad again has to spell out where the problem is:
