Did Mitt Romney just insult every Trump voter? Welcome to the 47% club folks.

My conservative friend in Milwaukee called and reminded me to watch Mitt Romney trash Trump this morning, so I tuned in and recorded it. Romney did just that. So I asked my friend who he thought put Trump in the lead. Instead of saying conservative voters, he said "Obama." Welcome to Obama derangement syndrome.

Romney's statement was so brutal, so over the top final, you've got to believe the Republican Party has a bullet proof plan to usurp the will of GOP voters.

I'm posting Romney's historically bizarre Trump take down as a marker where the Republican Party completely destroyed the American political process once and for all.

Breathtaking and amazing, we have to wonder where Republicans will take our political system in 5, 10, 15 years?

Also take note of Romney's now trademark "doe-eyed" look of an innocent little boy trying to please his audience. What a con:

Romney loss ends 47 percent reign of freeloading terror. Lazy low wage tax dodgers now part of 43 percenters.

A number we knew would climb under a Mitt Romney presidency is falling now, thanks to Pres. Obama. 

The famous “47 percent” are now down to 43 percent: Remember that moment in the 2012 campaign when Mitt Romney was caught on tape lamenting the fact that “Forty-seven percent of Americans pay no income tax”? Sure you do.

Well, it turns out that stat needs updating. The Tax Policy Center reports that the 47 percent is now down to 43 percent, as more and more households paid income tax in 2013:

The Tax Policy Center chalks the change over the past few years up to the improving economy, (slowly) rising incomes, and the expiration of various stimulus-era tax cuts. Those all add up to more people getting hit with income taxes. If current trends hold, the number of households that don’t pay income tax is expected to fall to 34 percent by 2024. 

Conservative Constituents not listening to the politicians elected by the people.

The voters have spoken?

We hear that a lot in Wisconsin, especially now after the Republicans successfully gerrymandered the districts to increase their majority, even though that would have never happened without the redistricting. But forget about the overwhelming vote for Obama and Baldwin. That didn’t matter as much, or was just inconvenient.

Journal Times: Distressed by the results of the election and direction of the county, one Racine man has put his politics on public display. Slowly twisting in the wind outside of Dennis Montey’s home at 939 Marquette St. is the American flag, hung upside down. “For starters, hanging the flag upside down is an international sign of distress,” Montey said. “The reason I have our flag flipped is because our country is broke, we are losing our liberties one inch at a time and our politicians are not listening to their constituents.” 

Oh, but they have listened, and reelected Obama big time in the state with 7 percent margin, and voted for Tammy Baldwin instead of tea party loudmouth Tommy Thompson. They listened, but not to the loony right.

Montey said Sunday that he intends to leave it that way until “the country gets going in the right direction,” adding, “I’m hoping it won’t be four years” … Montey, who describes himself as a conservative-libertarian, said he voted for Republican Mitt Romney.

Hey, that's the “Corporations are people, my friend” guy. Now that’s a real government of the “people.”

From NBC News, the other reasons Obama won:

A Republican National Committee report on the election points to other reasons -- like changing demographics, Hurricane Sandy, George W. Bush, and the failure to win over the middle class … by a 53%-to-38% margin blamed Bush for the state of the economy instead of Obama. Obama's response to Hurricane Sandy with 42% saying it was either the "most important" or "an important" factor in their vote. 44% of voters believed Obama's policies favored the middle class, versus 34% who said that of Romney's policies.

It was the "gifts."

AP: Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is telling top donors that President Obama won re-election because of the "gifts" he had already provided to blacks, Hispanics and young voters "The president's campaign, if you will, focused on giving targeted groups a big gift," Romney said in a call to donors Wednesday. "He made a big effort on small things."

Romney said his campaign, in contrast, had been about "big issues for the whole country."

Obama won the popular vote by about 3.5 million votes, or 3%, and won the Electoral College by a wide margin, 332-206 electoral votes. Among the "gifts" Romney cited were free health care "in perpetuity," which he said was highly motivational to black and Hispanic voters as well as for voters making $25,000 to $35,000 a year.

Romney also said the administration's promise to offer what he called "amnesty" to the children of illegal immigrants — what he termed "the so-called DREAM Act kids" — helped send Hispanics to the polls for Obama.

Young voters, Romney said, were motivated by the administration's plan for partial forgiveness of college loan interest and being able to remain on their parents' health insurance plans. Young women had an additional incentive to vote for Obama because of free contraception coverage under the president's health care plan, he said.

Asked about Romney's remarks, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, a potential contender for the GOP nomination in 2016, strongly condemned those in the GOP who classify voters based on income, race or age and said the party cannot concede wide swaths of voters and expect to win elections.

"We have got to stop dividing the American voters," Jindal told reporters in Las Vegas. 

Romney Focus Group Appears Stunned Americans rejected their upside down vision of the Country.

This CBS Morning focus group of disappointed Romney voters, host by Frank Luntz, reveals how removed Republican were from reality, and how influential Fox News and talk radio is to the low information electorate.

Sadly, the people in this group still don't get it, and don't appear any closer to a little self-reflection.

They are two consistently wrong radio geniuses.

Ryan out of Romney loop on Concession, can't get anything right.

We just got a four year reprieve from the nightmare world envisioned by Republicans tonight, thanks to Obama's win.

But just imagine the bumbling Romney/Ryan administration in charge of anything, after this ridiculous mistake. If this story doesn't say it all, I don't know what will. These guys can't even lose gracefully:

Republicans Convinced they'll Win Big, a Landslide for Romney, without ever offering a Plan.

There’s no self-criticism on the Republican side of the aisle. That’s been my biggest complaint about conservative voters for the last 3 years.

With no reflection on where things might have gone wrong, Republicans will only get more radicalized as time marches on. My conservative friend in Milwaukee called the other day cranked up from a political fundraiser, blathering on about winning by a huge margin, and taking the country back. I asked him what he thought would happen under Romney...he had nothing. The election is just another prize, another victory in the win column, and it won't matter one bit if his life is made more difficult now or in the future. A win justifies the party ideology, and they will never fail because there's always someone else to blame.   

Peter St. Onge: You probably read this week about that backyard display in Plaza Midwood. It was a stuffed body with the president’s photo attached to the head, a noose wrapped around the neck. It was visible to the public, including neighborhood children … there also was an Obama effigy in California this week, another in Indiana and Utah. And it wasn’t long ago that we saw bumper stickers in Charlotte and other cities that read: “Don’t Re-Nig in 2012.” Isolated cases, you say? Last week, 39 percent of respondents to an Associated Press survey said the president was born in another country.

It’s proud ignorance and joyful ugliness, and all of it has been embraced and feared – but rarely criticized – by Republican leaders.

How, some wonder, can voters choose a president … with no new ideas about how to change either? For some, it’s because the alternative means voting with the birthers and the racists. It means being on the same team as the debate crowd that booed a gay soldier, or the crowd that cheered the idea of letting a sick man with no health insurance die.

But we have yet to see Romney hanging from a noose.

Maybe the best thing that can happen for them – for all of us – is for extremism to lose, and for hate not to be – as it never should – a winning strategy.

This was an interesting take on Wisconsinites hope for Medicare:

Medicare in the future:  Option A: Medicare should continue as it is today, with the government guaranteeing seniors health insurance and making sure that everyone gets the same defined set of benefits.

Option B:  Medicare should be changes to a system in which the government would guarantee each senior a fixed amount of money to put toward health insurance.  Seniors would purchase that coverage either from traditional Medicare or from a list of private health plans.

Option A  64%, Option B 28%

Gay couples should be allowed to legally marry?  Or, Gay couples should be allowed to form civil unions but not legally marry?  Or, There should be no legal recognition of a gay couple’s relationship.

Zombie Apocalypse possible under President Romney....

It's back; talk of the zombie apocalypse. Here's a Romney supporter I can agree with:

ABC: The man behind “The Avengers,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Firefly” released a satirical video endorsing Mitt Romney this Halloween weekend, saying the Republican candidate has some unique qualifications. Romney has “the vision and determination to cut through business as usual politics and finally put this country back on the path to a zombie apocalypse,” writer and director Joss Whedon says in the joke video . Users watched the parody more than 800,000 times during its first 24 hours on the Internet.

The Empty-Lying Romney/Ryan Campaign Hides untill Election Day.

Will conservative voters reward Mitt and Paul for offering nothing but grandiose platitudes? No detailed agenda, no straight answers, ducking the tough issues...this is the future expectation level of conservative low information voters. (R) is all they need now.

Paul Ryan is now even ducking the Faith and Freedom Coalition's townhall. Ryan's campaign said the announcement was an erroneous report. Ouch!

The Sensata Story.

I thought this broadcast from Freeport, Illinois' Sensata Technologies, by Ed Schultz, was an important moment on cable news. With the help of radio's Sly in the Morning, who did an entire show there, more people are seeing how American jobs are streaming out of this country. This is what we can expect from our "job creators." Profitable companies in this country want more, and can get it, with $1 an hour workers in China.

I wonder what would happen if Sensata employees actually offered to take a dollar an hour? Let's face it, that's the real goal here anyway.



Part 2; Ed compares workers wages at Sensata, and "wages and benefits" in China. It's kinda obvious which business model is preferred.

Romney flip flops four times in four days on Lily Ledbetter Fair pay Act. Presidential?

I can’t believe how the press continues to bend over backwards to give the benefits of the doubt to Republicans misstatements, lies and back tracking.

In a series of non-story coverage, ABC News actually posted this mindless eye rolling nonsense:

The courting of female voters has intensified since … Tuesday, with the candidates pivoting to focus on women after Romney’s “binders full of women” comment, as well as some waffling by a Romney senior adviser on the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act.  GOP vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan was even asked about jobs for women at his town hall here Thursday … Ryan was asked by a female attendee if his ticket had “any plan in place for jobs specifically for women.”

He immediately answered much as his running mate has in the past: “Get the economy growing, number one.”

Really, that’s an answer? More importantly…that’s a story?

Yet the real story is even more surreal and insulting. Here’s what really happened, and what the “female attendee” will never see covered seriously. If voters were exposed to the Romney campaign follow-up to the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, they would abandon these hucksters in a heartbeat:

Undecided Voters; Low Information Still Confuses, Boggles Their Minds. And Mitt's Five Point Mumbo Jumbo!!

I hate these people. And to think, low information voters might be the ones that tip the country into a oligarchic corporate system of labor dorms and part time minimum wages jobs. Hey, a corporate person has to make some money.

Typically these people are conservative fence sitters, waiting for the first pleasant sounding bumper
sticker slogan. Check this out from the Brookfield Patch:

There was even one, lone undecided voter who joined the throng of Democrats and Republicans, but shortly after the debate was completed, said she is now swaying more toward Romney. Leslie Buck of Wauwatosa said, "I was expecting a little bit more and there were times I found myself agreeing with Romney."

Specifically, she said the discussion about Libya was most upsetting. "The Benghazi thing really bugs me," Buck said. "And the 'Fast and Furious.' Certain missteps are hard to ignore, and the decision to bailout GM and the banks was something I personally disagreed with." 

Romney lost that Benghazi argument in spectacular fashion. What was she watching? 



Fast and Furious is another phony Fox News story, and she didn't want to save the banks and auto industry...she's undecided? Really? BS, she another lazy conservative too busy to take an interest.   
Or how about "I have a five point plan?" That works for them too, despite the fact that it's just something he made up by Mitt to sound competent. WP’s Greg Sargent wrote this:

Yesterday, the Post’s Glenn Kessler reported that he had asked Mitt Romney’s campaign to back up his claim that his “five point plan for the middle class” will create 12 million jobs. The Romney camp responded with a series of studies that didn’t do anything of the sort — they literally didn’t support Romney’s actual policy proposals in any way — thus revealing that his jobs plan has absolutely no credible foundation. So you’d think it would be newsworthy that his plan has been revealed to have no policy rationale behind it at all. You’d think it would be a big story that it has been revealed as a complete sham. Yet there’s been very little media interest in the story.

Perhaps this will change things. Today, Obama directly targeted the new revelations about Romney's plan, tying them to Romney’s bogus tax math, and ridiculing the whole package as a “sketchy deal” ... there is a very real danger that undecided voters will include that Romney is the man with the right plan to fix things. After all, Romney’s own campaign can’t back up the plan’s lofty promises.

Here's MSNBC's "undecided" focus group, where many on the panel believed strongly in that "five point plan." One guy even said that Mitt has the track record of job creation...and Obama doesn't? Women will be amazed at the female response here, where they gave Mitt a pass on fair pay:

"I don't think he really even thought about it," or

"Honestly, I don't know if he really cares, but at the same time like, people need jobs. I mean the bigger issue is gotta get people working first, then we can deal with everything else."
