Is it Tony Evers' "Liberal" agenda, or just popular 21st Century Ideas and Solutions?

When you solve an ever day problem, have you ever classified that solution as liberal or conservative. Nope.

And that's where I've been for years, an apolitical problem solver.

Sure, you've seen me attack Republican policy because what they're doing is strictly partisan. Plus it's a criticism of right wing messaging and framing that dominates how things are reported. It's a tactic to vilify policy.

This is what I'm talking about...labeling popular and legitimate fact based solutions as "liberal" policies?

I don't recall ever reading what Walker and the Republicans did as "conservative" policy?

We are now automatically describing everything from a conservative point of view, and shuddering at the thought of extreme "liberal" ideas. The truth...

Just ask a "stand with Walker" voter to name one major state problem he solved as governor. Walker  passed every "conservative" political theory on his check list, but ignored real problems. It's a mind boggling list Walker just flat out didn't think was important to his agenda;
The veteran homes problem, polluted drinking water problem, youth prison problem, transportation problem, state parks funding problem, health insurance problem, school funding problem, rural broadband problem, dairy farm bankruptcies and over supply problems, fossil fuel problem, CWD problem, breathtaking taxpayer handouts to billion dollar big businesses problem...these are the states biggest problems.
Now a Twitter troll, Scott Walker continues to brag about his tax cuts, tax cuts that were eaten up by referendums, car repairs, tariff war prices, climate change cleanups, and rising health care costs. Thanks?

Liberal Union Loving Anti-Business Madison and Dane County comes in with the lowest Unemployment rate in State.

Those poor Walker trolls and their insulting factless name calling, they just can't get a break when it comes to the brutal truth:
AP: New data show Madison and Dane County still have the lowest unemployment rates among cities and counties in Wisconsin.
Walker WOW county conservative voters, any thoughts?

"Peacemaker" has one big regret after Capitol Bomb Threat.

Even a disenfranchised liberal Wisconsinite with mental health issues knows when they've gone too far, especially after calling in a Capitol bomb threat:
He had one big regret...
WKOW: The suspect in a bomb threat at the state capitol earlier this month tells 27 News actions by Governor Walker and state lawmakers, combined with his mental health issues, prompted him to call police and cause an evacuation of the building during state budget debate.

"I just snapped," 55-year old Daniel Veerhusen of Madison tells 27 News. "I've called most of my state officials and politely ask them to please do their jobs, and think about who they're affecting," Veerhusen says ... he relies on state disability funds due to his medical conditions, including a recent stroke ... he uses a wheelchair the majority of the time. "Always been a peacemaker," Veerhusen says. "The medications that I've been on have taken such a heavy toll.".
Here's the twist:
Veerhusen was interrogated and admitted to making the phone call, "and regretted his actions after he learned 'concert on the square' was evacuated.

Republicans Outraged: College Commencement Speakers mostly Liberal!!!

Anonymous conservative tweeters and commentators on my blog often jab me about my failed liberal talk radio career, blaming the constant whining and boring progressive topics. Their point is, liberal talk failed because no one was interested in it.

I was reminded of that point today when I came across this headline of phony outrage:
“Liberal speakers dominate college commencements, conservative group says”
Well the same rule applies guys: maybe no one is interested in the tired old whiny and boring conservative topics. You can almost hear Fox News viewers and low information voters mumbling something about freedom, liberty, the constitution and American Exceptionalism now.
Liberal speakers will outnumber conservatives by at least 6-to-1 at the nation's top 100 schools as ranked by U.S. News & World Report. Ron Robinson, president of Young America's Foundation, said in a statement to FoxNews.com said, “The data shows schools and the general public are going in different directions. This trend will be detrimental to the development of our country’s future leaders. Students are not getting the full picture about government policy or learning about the Constitution, American exceptionalism, or free market economics.”
No wonder republicans are defunding education. Who would have guessed that content free, divisive, homophobic, bigoted, racist, nanny-state conservatives, guided by nothing more than their ideologically driven policies, just doesn't fit in to a schools learning environment. I'm shocked.

GOP quietly conditions right wingers to kill Liberals?

This isn't a new revelation by any stretch. The whole concealed carry movement wasn't just based on an imagined right guaranteed in the constitution, it was also push back against those repressive big government socialist passing gun control laws. The most blatant was the tea party candidate threatening "2nd Amendment remedies" if lefties didn't give up their agenda.

Close to Home Liberal Vilification: Governor Scott Walker is openly using the his recall petitions to black list anyone who tried to remove him from power. Liberals are the enemy. Add to that those unqualified "liberal activist" judges (they actually say they want conservative judges) and socialist propagandist teachers in our public schools. Vilification is now standard issue group think for Republicans. And that means anything can happen, like this from Raw Story:

Just another isolated incident? Not a chance, and the numbers are no doubt growing.
Police in Clarkstown, New York have confiscated a cache of high-powered weapons and body armor from a man who was arrested for posting death threats against against many Democratic politicians and every liberal supporter of President Barack Obama.

According to WCBS, 49-year-old Larry Mulqueen was arraigned on Thursday. Mulqueen’s landlady had tipped off police after she found a “hit list” posted on Facebook that threatened Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV), Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY), Rep. Nita Lowey (D-NY) and all members of the Congressional Black Caucus. The Facebook posting said that all of the president’s follower were “traitor scum” and promised “death to them all.”

Republicans go after Liberal Justice on State Supreme Court!!!

There's no mistaking it at this point, Republicans are out to wipe clean any hint of liberalism, politically and judicially, in Wisconsin. They're not fooling around.

It's hard to imagine the Democratic Party ever doing something this authoritarian. Democrats are barely supportive of their own populist agenda, fumbling away golden opportunities when they're in the majority.

Think we'll hear cries of outrage over the Republican power play to purge the State Supreme Court of it's chief liberal justice? The idea that these big government lawmakers can instantly retire a justice without grandfathering in the current lineup, is mind blowing.

It appears legislators from as far back as 1977 were not fulfilling their constitutional responsibility, according to Rep. Dean Knudson. Hey, it's not about ousting out Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson, someone they've been trying to demote for years. What would make you think that?

From WKOW:

But Rep. Knudson says the legislation isn't about getting Abrahamson … "She asked, could we construct something that would grandmother her, and my response was that this really isn't about any individual," said Rep. Knudson.

Snobby Madison liberals live better life, in greenest city in America, than people in all large cities.

You know where you can put your gated communities, that's all I'm saying.

What is it with those anti-business-unionista-hippy-gun control freak, getting so much recognition...oh yea, the liberal press:
Madison: The quality of life is better in Madison than in every other large American city. That's according to a study of the 100 largest U.S. cities by personal finance site NerdWallet ... review from writer Sreekar Jasthi: "If you're looking to improve your quality of life, consider moving to Madison. The city offers a great work-life balance, high affordability and health insurance coverage rates, and a low unemployment rate. At the center of the city lies the largest public university in the state, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which focuses on 'improving the quality of life for all' in its mission statement."

And it's not the first time, in April the site listed Madison as the greenest city in America, beating out Anchorage, Alaska, and Corpus Christi, Texas.

A month later, it put Madison fourth on the list of best cities to have a dog
We're not done yet...
Snobby people think they’re better than you. Here at the Movoto Real Estate Blog, we’re breaking that down …  this list of the top places for the snootiest, snottiest, and downright snobbiest folks in the country.

CapTimes: Wisconsin may be known as America’s Dairyland, but don’t let the all-American, salt of the earth, Midwest thing fool you. These guys are total snobs… at least in Madison. That’s because this city was made up of 53.31 percent college graduates … Madison also came in near the top for its number of theaters and art galleries per capita, and for its lack of fast food restaurants (it ranked 35th).

Rush still on air despite Ratings Plummet. Damn liberal media again...?

Newspapers made a huge mistake when they gave up printing the latest local radio ratings. When they stopped, they inadvertently allowed Rush Limbaugh to create the false impression he was immensely popular. Here's a tweet from another "Stand with Walker" zombie twit:

No one is listening. In fact, Rush's rating are much lower than any time slot I had in my own career. And as a liberal, I was never given enough time to grow an audience. With Best of Madison awards and even being number two in the mornings, it never quite cut it. Take a look at old Rushbo's numbers. No one in radio could survive his ratings plummet. So don't blame liberals for not being able to grab the interest of listeners when Rush has essentially tanks and still has a job:

Walker takes fight to imagined "they want to control your lives" Liberal Enemy

Republicans have nothing left to defend their failed ideology except to create false premises and imagined enemies. Welcome to the alternate universe, the conservative bubble, an echo chamber of nonsense issues, platforms and liberal villains.

Below, Scott Walker not only doubles down on the false premise that liberals want to control everyone's life (no more incandescent light bulbs folks), but he's suffering from a bad case of projection (Walker's wants dictatorial one party rule):
jsonline: In an interview with Right Wing News ... Poverty:

"the Left, they want you under their thumb. They want to control you. They want to control your lives. They want you to be dependent on the government. We should say we’re the ones, not only for the poor, but for young people coming out of college, for working class families, for immigrants, for others out there. We should say we are the ones who empower the American Dream. We’re the ones who say you can do and be anything you want, but it’s because we empower you with the ability and the platform to do that. The other side tells you they want to help you, but in the end they want to keep you limited in how far you can grow."
Walker's right, they are the party that likes to "say" things. Thanks for the speech Scott, but empty pep talks don't accomplish anything in the real world, and condescends to adults living out the nightmare of long term unemployment and poverty created by business interests.

So Republicans "are the ones who empower" us? Anyone feel empowered working for lower wages, longer hours, fewer benefits, unaffordable health care, growing job insecurity, and a growing wealth gap that keeps us all from the American dream?

The Big Republican Lie for Almost Everything.

The following seems lengthy, but well worth the read and insight into the real world, where Americans aren't anything like the cartoon GOP version they say they represent:
Salon: Tea Party shocker Even right wingers become liberals when they turn off Fox News  : America's center is to the left, and even Tea Partyers are liberals when they turn off Rush and learn real facts … In fact, a sophisticated poll covering 31 budget items as well as revenue sources conducted around the 2010 elections found that Republican, Democratic and independent voters all agreed on much higher taxes and much deeper defense cuts as the most striking elements of how the budget should be crafted.

The General Social Survey: Not only do most Americans think we’re spending too little in almost every area, most conservatives also think the same. Take Social Security and Medicare … two top “entitlements” that Republicans insist must be cut significantly … Progressives long have argued that these programs need more revenues ... liberal Democrats thought we were spending “too little” rather than “too much” … a ratio of over 36-to-1. Republicans thought we were spending “too little” by a ratio of 4.5-to-1.  With figures like that it’s no wonder that conservatives in Congress always talk about “saving” Social Security and Medicare.

Researchers at the Program for Public Consultation … in early 2011 released “How the American Public Would Deal With the Budget Deficit” in February 2011, and “Competing Budget Priorities: The Public, the House, the White House” the next month … there is a decided lack of clarity from standard polling about what the public wants: (they want) “… Massive cuts to defense on the spending side, massive tax hikes on the revenue side. Yet the public also supported modest increases in several liberal priority areas: job training, education, energy conservation and renewable energy, and pollution control.  Their average net reduction of all spending, $146 billion.
But this was the most “shocking” turnabout, shocking only if you’re a GOP believer and a sucker for their no tax propaganda:
In fact, PPC noted: It is striking that no group — Republican, Democrat, or independents — on average acted in ways that fit their respective media stereotypes. On the revenue side, the public increased taxes by an average of $292 billion—roughly triple the amount proposed by President Obama. Majorities increased taxes on incomes over $100,000 by 5 percent or more, and by 10 percent or more for incomes over $500,000. Majorities also increased corporate taxes and other excise taxes. Overwhelming majorities also favored raising estate taxes: 77 percent favored reverting at least to the 2009 levels, with estates over $3.5 million taxed at a 45 percent rate. These positions are generally so far left, they don’t even appear on the spectrum of discussion in Washington.

Thus, everything the media and Washington’s conventional wisdom tells you about the will of the voters is wrong. But don’t forget the Tea Party! They, too, did not respond as expected.  Tea Partyers raising taxes? By more than President Obama? Welcome to the strangest world of all: Welcome to reality.

Overall, red districts and blue districts were very similar in the ways that they increased revenues ... What is surprising is that red districts on average increased revenues slightly more than did blue districts on average.

The reason ... is the greater presence of independents in red districts. Because they favored higher taxes and deeper spending cuts, they tipped the balance to make red districts remarkably similar to blue districts … independents do not vote in GOP primaries, so their voices simply don’t count.

Another PPC survey conducted just after the 2010 midterms found widespread misinformation throughout the electorate, with some of the most prominent examples having clear impact on people’s view of the economy and economic policy. This includes undermining their understanding of how effective economic stimulus has been.

The real polarization in American politics is a split between symbolic conservative intuitions on the one hand, and pragmatic liberal facts on the other.  The more that confusion and unconfirmed, even unconscious biases abound, the more that conservative “common sense” carries the day. The more informed that people become, the closer they are to the problems that need solving, the more liberal they become — no matter what they call themselves.

Finally, sober facts bring us together. Unchecked fantasies drive us apart.  We need facts now, more than ever, to get our country — and our government — working again.

The Liberal Enemy Within must be Destroyed!!!

Democrats don't seem to worried about the vilification of liberalism for some reason, even though its been one of the more prominent themes from conservatives for decades.

But with the tea party radicalization of the Republican Party, and the fact that they now control the House and many state governments, the attack on liberalism is unabashedly unfiltered.

Republican Party of Wisconsin vice chairman Brian Schimming made it seem like funding K-12 education and contributing to "liberal" causes was an intolerable anti-American activity. These subtle and small suggestions over time plant themselves into every listeners subconscious, no matter how outrageous. From Upfront with Mike Gousha (goo-shay), Schimming made this comment about Democratic candidate for governor Mary Burke:

Salon's Joan Walsh said it best:
Walsh: "It so dangerous that we have a Republican Party that no longer sees the legitimacy of Democrats winning elections."

And isn't that what its come down too? Republican majorities can do whatever they want, but Democratic majorities must be stopped, and prevented from taking the country away from conservatives.

Liberals can't even be successful without being blamed for taking money away from conservative causes and contributing to the decline of civilization. After just running a billionaire for president and millionaire for vice president, Democrats have the nerve to follow suit? Check out this silly vilification of "left wing" money in this actual laughable ad campaign:
