Blaska confirms, it was Doyle's Great Recession! Claims Walker cut the Working Poor's Earned Income Tax Credit because they didn't pay taxes.

Blogger and pundit David "Bluster" Blaska made a few incredible but very revealing statements today on WPR, that proved there is an alternative reality out there, and Republicans will be voting in it come November.

Point #1: In this short clip, Blaska's first comment will blow your mind. You know how Scott Walker continues to blame the Great Recessions jobs and business losses on former Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle, well Blaska confirms it with this:

"And we're only, ah, three and a half years out from the Doyle recession."

I chuckle every time I hear it. But that's not all.

Point 2: I've been pointing out how nationally, Republicans want to pair back safety nets by proposing an increase in the Earned Income Tax Credit. That sounds nice until you realize on a statewide level, Republicans are reducing the credit, essentially raising taxes on the poor while advocating tax cuts for business and the wealthy.

Blustery Blaska lays out how Republicans really feel about the EITC,

"First of all, you can't raise taxes on people who don't pay any taxes...we simply couldn't afford to shell out that kind of money...there was a small cut made in the money we gave, say taxpayer gave to people who didn't pay taxes." 

Walker balanced the budget by reducing the money given to the working poor via the EITC...because they didn't pay any taxes in the first place.



Here's how the Republicans described the EITC cuts way back on May 31, 2011:

But Republicans said the state tax credit program was generous and that changes needed to be made to ensure the state balanced a $3 billion budget deficit over the next two years and still gave businesses incentives to create jobs. The cuts to the earned income credit would total $56.2 million over two years, $12.7 million more than the cuts proposed by Walker. The Legislative Fiscal Bureau has described Walker's proposal as a state income tax increase.

Republicans bypass Supreme Court to decide for themselves what is or isn't constitutional in John Doe 2.

John Doe 2 is getting more press, thanks to Scott Walker and idiots like David Blaska who think they're above the law.

One Wisconsin Now's Scot Ross couldn't have been clearer this weekend on WKOW's Capitol City Sunday when it came to John Doe 2; Scott Walker's got something to hide.

The other big revelation; conservative loons like blustery David Blaska and Vicki McKenna are under the impression they have the power to declare laws they don't like to be unconstitutional. Like conservative Judge Rudolph Randa's own decision, this is "law" under a Republican authority, it's whatever they think is constitutional at the time.

David Blaska, a former press secretary for a Republican governor and county board supervisor, embarrassed himself again as he incoherently mumbles responses and rambles on about what he thinks is and isn't constitutional...to him. Let the people decide, he says, why have any laws?

This is real deregulation. Ranting lunatics like Blaska are a dime-a-dozen on the right. Ross stuck to the topic, while Blaska decided to circumvent even the high court of the land with his own lofty opinion. And this guy is a regular guest on public radio as an GOP authority. Maybe that's a good thing.

The total disregard for law says a whole lot about the leaders in conservative media and the suckers that believe this crap:

Right Wing Lunacy: Is John Doe 2 a witch-hunt? And even if Laws were Broken, "what of it?"

“Phineas T.” Blaska is such a wonderfully partisan caricature. His analysis is fun to laugh at, and almost too easy to pick apart. His public radio appearances are filled with scattershot ideas that have no relationship to each other. It would be amazing if it weren't so hard to listen to. 

Lawbreaking Conservative Principles and John Doe 2: In the larger context, we have Republican politicians promising to nominate good “nonpartisan” conservative judges, sheriffs and AG’s. There’s really nothing like the purity of conservatism.

The Democratic side is different: They've filled government with socialists, Nazi's, and commies, hell bent on controlling everything including big gulps? Get your gun. 

In one fell swoop, David Blaska compared Democrats to Putin's Russia and district leaders in Nazi Germany. Would I kid you....

InBusiness: Pre-dawn raids on private homes. Imprisonment until the suspect “talks.” Orders to empty your pockets to see what we can find. No, not Putin’s Russia. Wisconsin’s speech gauleiters are convinced that someone, somewhere might be committing political speech without jumping through the authorities’ hoops. That is the essence of John Doe 2. The secret investigation is pursuing conservative campaign fundraising. 

Now you know why these teabillies carry guns, right? Blustery Blaska even put a nonsensical list together blaming “Democrats” for hunting down innocent, wealthy and helplessly powerful billionaires.

Blaska poses the conspiracy theory that John Doe 2 is politically motivated. 

Is it mere coincidence that the judge at the center of the secret investigation, a former Democrat(ic) district attorney and appointee of Jim Doyle, signed the recall petition against Gov. Scott Walker? Or that the chief investigator posted a Walker recall sign in his front yard, and 43 staffers in the Milwaukee County district attorney’s office, which conducted John Doe 1 and the current investigation, signed Walker recall petitions.

Or this upside down, chicken/egg mind numbing stupidity:

This is a fishing expedition that presumes guilt until proven innocent.
 This investigation is punitive. It has conducted pre-dawn raids on private homes (as the Wall Street Journal reported) as if hostages were being held or bombs manufactured. It follows the heavy footsteps of John Doe 1…

What the...my head is hurting. John Doe 1 resulted in 6 convictions. That was a witch-hunt?

Finally, I love it when Republicans rationalize breaking the law. And with brilliant reasons like: “What of it?”

The conspiracy to commit free speech: What is John Doe 2 hoping to find? Evidence of coordination between the Walker recall campaign and so-called third-party issue groups. By law, they are supposed to keep at arm’s length. If there was communication, what of it? What voter was denied the legal right to vote? What candidate was forced off the ballot? What issue went undebated? The heavy breathers on the left should pray that no convictions result. The assault on free political speech and freedom of association — so central to the First Amendment — is ripe for reversal at the nation’s high court. 

Blaska, like all Republicans, would love sending everything to the conservative activist Supreme Court. Getting a partisan stamp of judicial approval calms them.

And why is Blaska writing for InBusiness online?

The Koch’s: The Bond like villain’s out to destroy the Middle Class now want Americans to give up health care insurance.

The Koch brothers have lots of money to do anything they want to achieve their selfish ideological ends. Even tell people not to buy insurance? Believe it or not, yes.

They’re not shy about their agenda either, having named their most visible group “Americans for Prosperity.” They, we're talking about the wealthy, are the Americans growing their prosperity. Over "95 percent of the income gains reported since 2009 have gone to the top 1 percent."-CNBC

Rachel Maddow pointed out last night how the Koch's have hired the guy who pushed government mandated vaginal ultrasounds in multiple states to run ads against government mandated health care. That confusing message is just what the Koch's are counting on. Love the scary Uncle Sam ad too:

In a related local story, the Koch's are portrayed as just another manufactured target of the liberal left. What are Democrats afraid of, success? The fact that the Koch's have $72 billion of "free speech" wealth to spend on corporate Ayn Randian propaganda should send up a few red flags, even for staunch conservatives.

Cap Times: The latest: Politico reports the Kochs have been operating a secret “bank” that doled out a quarter of a billion dollars to various conservative causes and political groups last year.

“Freedom Partners is organized under the same section of the Tax Code as a trade association, a 501(c)6, which allows the group to conceal its donors from public release, although the amounts and recipients of its major grants are public.”

So imagine my surprise, which wasn't much of a real surprise, when I came across this upside down comment from David “blowhard” Blaska:

 “ALEC, of course, shares the liberal dunking pond with the Koch Brothers, Fox News, the Bradley Foundation, WMC, Karl Rove and Scott Walker — the mere mention of which draw sustained hissing and huffing from true blue fisters.”

That’s right, they’re all just innocent bystanders.

Of course Blaska’s party filled their own dunking pond with blue fisters, unionistas, liberal Madison, activist judges, smug elitists, Moveon.org and George Soros. But they don't count David?

Speaking of ALEC, I even asked my conservative friend in Milwaukee if he had heard of ALEC; he didn't. I think that might be true of many conservative voters. The conservative media is very good at filling their news with distractions.

David Blaska supports Freeloading Republicans copying and pasting legislation from corporate mouthpiece ALEC.

Tongue in cheek, the conservative blustery blowhard and know-it-all David Blaska takes a cheap and ridiculously clueless shot at Democrats criticism of business lobbyist ALEC. He’s pretending ALEC is a tribute to “Tom Jefferson,” and not really an easy way for Republicans to sit on their fat asses and look like they’re doing something for their taxpayer supported careers.

It’s guys like Blaska who just keeps dumbing down the discourse with insulting attempts at humor:

Breaking news: Scott Walker, Robin Vos, and a guy named ALEC are conservative: If you haven’t already guessed, that makes ALEC evil! EVIL! There’s no mystery to the American Legislative Exchange Council. Nor does it take an intrepid Woodward, Bernstein & Taylor to penetrate the wall of secrecy — because there is none. ALEC has a website. It posts its model legislation online. It says upfront that the organization is dedicated to limited government (thank you, Tom Jefferson), free markets (boo to tariffs), and federalism. That’s a clue, liberals.

Blaska blusters on and on about the virtues of just copying, pasting and voting on the same legislation used in every other state. That makes Wisconsin so unique, doesn't it? ALEC is just spreading good ideas to our legislators, who happen to be our public servants. Heck, when asked who wrote the mining legislation, they didn't even know (though they actually did):

Does it make sense that legislators might share best practices? If an idea is working in one state might it be recommended to other states? If liberals do not have an equivalent organization, then why don’t they?

Democrats don’t have an ALEC because they like to think, create and solve problems with legislation that's unique to Wisconsin. Blaska's defense of Republican freeloading is a rare moment of honesty. And what is In Business doing, giving this guy his own little street corner to rant and shout his scurrilous obscenities. 

What next, a Capitol Ban on Roving School Kids? Sly points out Blaska hypocrisy.

With all the attention centered on the arrests at the Capitol, you’d think they would try to be as factual as possible. No such chance with the administration. They do realize making obvious lies will exposed almost immediately:

WKOW: A Dane County official disputes a state official Stephanie Marquis’ claim a scheduled state capitol wedding ceremony took place in the rain, as dozens of protesters inside the capitol occupied the building's rotunda.

County court commissioner Daniel Floeter tells 27 News he officiated the wedding ceremony, and said it was held outside the building by design, with no precipitation. "We did not do the ceremony in the rain," Floeter says.

If anything, Capitol Police might have to crack down on the problem of large groups of school kids getting in the way:

Floeter says the only delay in the ceremony just before noon resulted from the brief presence of about fifty school children.

Depending on how much time you have, Neumann interviewed right wing loon David Blaska about his singing protest at the Capitol today. Rep. Melissa Sargent took this guy on as well, and verbally knocked him to the floor. When you get Republicans to focus, and press them for an answer, they fold like a house of cards.
