“It’s not a traditional America anymore. People want stuff. They want things. And who is going to give them things? President Obama. He knows it and he ran on it. Whereby twenty years ago President Obama would be roundly defeated by an establishment candidate like Mitt Romney. The white establishment is now the minority. The voters, many of them, feel like the economic system is stacked against them. And they want stuff. You’re going to see a tremendous Hispanic vote for President Obama. Overwhelming black vote for President Obama. And women will probably break President Obama’s way. People feel they are entitled to things. And which candidate between the two is going to give them things?“

O'Reilly trashes People who want Stuff...things.
Much has been made of the video clip below of Bill O'Reilly taking a shot of all those Americans adversely affected by the economy, and none of it good. It appears his bold faced racism is striking a sour angry note for everybody, not including those tea party members who are still putting together their bone through the nose signage. Watch the video and read along:
Outright Republican Voter Fraud real threat to Democracy.
Republicans are all about "projection," where they project their faults onto other people. Take voter fraud for instance:
I guess Rubin did all she could to make us believe in the "voter fraud" myth. Anyone else want to try? .
Roxanne Rubin, a registered Republican from Henderson, Nev., was arrested Friday on a felony charge of attempting to vote twice in the same election.
Is voting twice worth a felony charge? The answer is no, at least to most people, except conservatives. Huffington Post:
FBI agents took Rubin into custody as she arrived for work at the Riviera hotel-casino, according to the Associated Press. Rubin had roused suspicion on Oct. 29, after casting a vote at her precinct in Henderson, and then allegedly attempting to vote at a different polling site in Las Vegas later that day. Election workers at the second location ran her name through a database, which showed that she had already voted. When confronted by officials, Rubin reportedly claimed that their database was incorrect, and that she had not yet voted. She was ultimately prevented from casting the second vote.
I guess Rubin did all she could to make us believe in the "voter fraud" myth. Anyone else want to try? .
Vicki McKenna reflects the Ugly, Desperate Side of White Conservatives.
I don't know what it is about all these conservative hit squads, thugs and trolls, who spend hours scouring twitter for a controversial random tweet to use against their opponents. This happens all the time. If it isn't Twitter, it's Facebook.
Me, I use political leaders, celebrities and right wing media whores. But for Republicans, like radio fire breather Vicki McKenna, she likes to go after teenagers. Like the one who says about herself "plan for tomorrow, party tonight...!" Is there anything more desperate?
If McKenna had done a little checking on the source of this tweet, featured at Twitchy US Politics, she might have reconsidered her own tweet (although I doubt it).
Being a white person myself, I have never felt victimized. To dredge up a popular response by Scott Walker thugs in Wisconsin before and after the recall; "Get over it, the people have spoken."
Here are a few knucklehead, even dangerous McKenna tweets:
The last tweet refers to a video that looks like something from the 1940's, if you know what I mean:

Republican Poll Watcher Fearful of Voter who could have had gun, but maybe didn't.
Republicans successfully passed unreasonable gun legislation in almost every state. But the issue that once turned out the vote and energized the base, has now created a new area of stark raving fear; armed liberals! Or at least, "alleged" armed angry Democrats.
Check out this fictional story manufactured by a conservative poll watcher:
![]() |
| Vicki McKenna found this story of victimhood... |
WashingtonTimes: GOP - Poll watcher in Detroit threatened with gun, 911 call rejected: According to the Michigan GOP the poll watcher's 911 call was rejected. Below is a press release from Michigan Republican Party spokesman Matt Frendeway: This morning, a legally credentialed poll watcher was threatened and intimidated … The poll watcher, a lawyer, was confronted by a voter in line, who demanded the poll watcher produce his credentials, which he did.
However, the voter said that wasn't good enough and that he had “a badge and a gun” and told the poll watcher get out of the precinct. Rather than allow the situation to escalate, the poll watcher left before the voter produced a badge or brandished a gun. Fearing for his safety, the poll watcher exited and called 911, however the Detroit Police refused to respond to the call – neglecting the fact that a voter alleged to have a ‘badge’ and a ‘gun’ in a precinct, putting other voters at risk.
That’s right, “alleged.” Scary! But crying wolf too
many times has consequences. The guy had no
witness and never saw a gun, so…it’s another grim fairy tale. And even if this particular
voter did have a gun, and maybe serious about using it, get used to it.
That’s what “stand your ground” is all about, isn't it, defending yourself from
a possible threat?
Yet this “alleged” totally fictional tale of victimhood is
just assumed to be true by the insanely paranoid party of authority, and their irresponsible media sources:
Michigan Republican Party Chairman Bobby Schostak issued a statement: “I can only hope that this morning’s outlandish, reckless and dangerous behavior, was not part of a coordinated effort by the Democratic Party and therefore, I am calling on Mark Brewer, Democratic Party Chairman, to condemn these threats of violence and pledge to ensuring all election workers, volunteers and citizens remain safe.”
About as threatening as a Grimm Fairy Tale.

Right Wing World lost Presidential Election in Real World.
Rachel Maddow lists the bizarre and chaotic thinking of the right wing, explaining how they got things so very very wrong, and believed it all. Even my conservative friend in Milwaukee was convinced Romney would win by a massive margin. Of course, that's what Rush Limbaugh and Charlie Sykes told him. They are two consistently wrong radio geniuses.

Ryan out of Romney loop on Concession, can't get anything right.
We just got a four year reprieve from the nightmare world envisioned by Republicans tonight, thanks to Obama's win.
But just imagine the bumbling Romney/Ryan administration in charge of anything, after this ridiculous mistake. If this story doesn't say it all, I don't know what will. These guys can't even lose gracefully:

MacIver Institute outraged over possible Chaos at Madison Obama rally, that never happened.
I'm beginning to understand the MacIver Institute's mission in politics; to out do the Onion.
The following "report," "Amazing Video of Obama's Madison Crowd," is an unintentional over-the-top self parody. The inane pettiness and degree of phony outrage is mind-bending, yet conservative talk host and author Charlie Sykes bought into the silliness hook, line and sinker.
The picture to the right is how he packaged it for his new site "RightWisconson powered by Charlie Sykes." No, I'm not linking to it, since that would be like intentionally spreading cancer.
Here's a sample of that "Amazing" video that twists itself into a pretzel trying to portray the Obama rally as something bordering on dangerous. It's actually funny stuff, and that's why I'm posting it. First, check out the panicky language in the first sentence, which they mindlessly take back in the second sentence. Priceless drivel:

Law enforcement and landlords were prepared for complete chaos when the Obama Campaign announced it would have a rally in downtown Madison during Monday rush hour. However, disruptions seemed minimal as most people drawn to the rally were able to fit onto a two block road hosting the event.

More on the Obama Madison visit today
A bit of media coverage from Channel3000, which by the way, was almost impossible to find at their site. My god, the president came to town...never mind. I still believe the crowd size was around 30,000:

Whitefish Bay Polling Place Asking for Voter ID, and Voter Suppression in Ohio and Florida.
Wisconsin's voter ID law has been declared unconstitutional, twice. So basically, you still don't have to show a photo ID. But that's not stopping Republicans in conservative stronghold Whitefish Bay from asking for one. Will anything be done, or will this story fade away magically? From CBS58:
Here's both Chris Matthews and Ed Schultz dealing with the massive voter suppression campaign instigated by Republican politicians who aren't afraid of how it looks. Ohio and Florida are the focus here:

Oh sure, now I'm getting good grades...
Business Friendly Walker Stiffs Business.
One conservative “business friendly” politician, I’m
talking about you Scott Walker, has decided to stick a hard working corporate job creator with
the bill, which kinda contradicts all that phony jobs rhetoric.
Take Talgo for instance.
WSJ: The state of Wisconsin has defaulted on an agreement to buy two sets of passenger rail cars from (the) Spanish manufacturer Talgo that has a factory in Milwaukee, according to a lawsuit the rail car maker filed on Friday. The lawsuit names Gov. Scott Walker and transportation secretary Mark Gottlieb as defendants. The company said that if the court rules in Talgo's favor the state will have no further rights under the contract and will lose nearly $50 million that it has already spent on the project.
The comment that may get a lot of attention nationwide from
businesses leaders looking for a place to set up shop, like in Wisconsin:
Of course it’s never a problem caused by Republicans, despite proof to the contrary:Talgo CEO Antonio Perez said "I don't see how any company in the future would choose to do business with the state of Wisconsin when the state has shown that it cannot be trusted to honor contracts that it has signed."
DOT spokeswoman Peg Schmidt said Talgo has failed to complete or test the rail cars and said that they don't meet even basic federal standards … (but) under the purchase contract the state is responsible for the cost of pre-sale testing of the rail cars and not Talgo.

Republicans Convinced they'll Win Big, a Landslide for Romney, without ever offering a Plan.
There’s no self-criticism on the Republican side of the
aisle. That’s been my biggest complaint about conservative voters for the last
3 years.
With no reflection on where things might have gone wrong,
Republicans will only get more radicalized as time marches on. My conservative friend in Milwaukee called the other day cranked up from a political fundraiser, blathering on about winning by a huge margin, and taking the country back. I asked him what he thought would happen under Romney...he had nothing. The election is just another prize, another victory in the win column, and it won't matter one bit if his life is made more difficult now or in the future. A win justifies the party ideology, and they will never fail because there's always someone else to blame.
Peter St. Onge: You probably read this week about that backyard display in Plaza Midwood. It was a stuffed body with the president’s photo attached to the head, a noose wrapped around the neck. It was visible to the public, including neighborhood children … there also was an Obama effigy in California this week, another in Indiana and Utah. And it wasn’t long ago that we saw bumper stickers in Charlotte and other cities that read: “Don’t Re-Nig in 2012.” Isolated cases, you say? Last week, 39 percent of respondents to an Associated Press survey said the president was born in another country.
It’s proud ignorance and joyful ugliness, and all of it has been embraced and feared – but rarely criticized – by Republican leaders.
How, some wonder, can voters choose a president … with no new ideas about how to change either? For some, it’s because the alternative means voting with the birthers and the racists. It means being on the same team as the debate crowd that booed a gay soldier, or the crowd that cheered the idea of letting a sick man with no health insurance die.
But we have yet to see Romney hanging from a noose.
Maybe the best thing that can happen for them – for all of us – is for extremism to lose, and for hate not to be – as it never should – a winning strategy.

The Boss and Obama...
Here's Bruce Springsteen at the Madison Obama rally today, along with a few of his thoughts (transcribed here):
The 2 Madison fire inspectors estimated around 18,000, while local police estimate around 40,000 to 50,000. The campaigns themselves thought the crowd came in at 20,000.
Here's the full President Obama speech, all thanks to WKOW's live stream today. There's a little more at their site:
Here are few more selections from Springsteen:

Sykes pushing voter suppression tactics...
Attempting to tamp down Democratic turnout, conservative talker Charlie Sykes can't help but try real hard to discourage voter turnout. Like this post at his blog:
Oh, I forgot, they're supporting the real patriots.
As of the latest update from Wisconsin early voting, the gap between Dane and Waukesha is once again 2k. But that's with a massive increase in the overall vote, meaning the gap is even less statistically significant than before. So here's the big question for Wisconsin Democrats: where are your college kids? What happened to them? Why do you have to send Katy Perry to Milwaukee this weekend and Bruce Springsteen to Madison on Monday in the hopes of getting them out?Why do you have to have super sized has-been like Meatloaf sing off key for a Romney Rally? Kid Rock...? Lee Greenwood and comedian Dennis Miller? Kelsey Grammar, Chuck Norris, Honey Boo Boo, Donald Trump, Jack Nicklaus and country musics Oak Ridge Boys?
Oh, I forgot, they're supporting the real patriots.

The Amazing Anger over Health Care for All.
Civilized countries...excuse me, industrialized countries have provide national health care for their citizens for many many decades. It's part of their contract with humanity, and for many, their manufacturing policy. Yet health care for all has been met with division, hatred, and the formation of the knuckle dragging tea party.
Sarcastic stooges like Ann Coulter know how to exploit and viscerally appeal to these low information dunderheads, the kind of people who want us all to live in their trailer park vision of America, just like the founding fathers had intended. Indoor bathrooms? Another luxury the supposed poor should be grateful for, you can hear them snort under their breath while guzzling their super-sized sodas.
Every time I see stories about tea parties rallies against Obamacare, it stuns my senses. I guess saving money on a single payer system is too big a price to pay for real freedom.
