This would be funny if Trump voters weren't so invested in this blunt talking reality show thug:

"You know what I wanted to. I wanted to hit a couple of those speakers so hard," Trump said. "I would have hit them. No, no. I was going to hit them, I was all set and then I got a call from a highly respected governor."

"I was gonna hit one guy in particular, a very little guy," he said. "I was gonna hit this guy so hard his head would spin and he wouldn't know what the hell happened."

Maybe this whole Trump phenomenon comes down to something this simple:

When it came to Donald Trump, Clinton went for the jugular — his Twitter feed. The remark was deemed the "most-tweeted moment" of the evening by Twitter's Government & Elections team.

Trump proved Clinton right with his reaction to the RNC's  lower ratings:

DNC Beats RNC for Third Straight Night in Early TV Ratings...

Early ratings results for Night 3 of the Democratic National Convention are in, and once again the DNC appears to have beat out the Republican National Convention. Donald Trump sent an e-mail to his supporters urging them not to watch Hillary Clinton deliver her nomination acceptance speech on the final night of the Democratic convention.

“I didn’t produce our show — I just showed up for the final speech on Thursday,” Trump told The New York Times in a phone call this week.
Trump actually broke with tradition by making multiple appearances during the Cleveland convention, coming on stage to introduce his wife Melania on the convention's opening night and appearing onstage with running mate Mike Pence, who followed Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) non-endorsement speech on the convention's third night.  His claim that he had no hand in the convention programming was also eyebrow-raising, given that campaigns typically dictate the speaker roster and many of the RNC speakers had direct ties to Trump. Among those were five members of the Trump family, the manager of Trump Winery and ‘80s sitcom star Scott Baio, who said Trump personally invited him to speak at a campaign fundraiser.

Republican move to punish and censor the opposition is catching on!

The no compromise juvenile bullying by the Tea Party Republicans is oddly gaining acceptance. That can't be good. 

These dominant authoritarians are now targeting for removal once and for all, the press, the constitutionally protected Fourth Estate. Cafeteria constitutionalist like only parts of the First Amendment. 

RNC Blackmail gets NBC Approval: NBC responded to RNC chair Reince Priebus’ suspension of network debates with this acquiescence. Instead of being insulted and telling him to take his threats elsewhere...:

NBC News called the RNC's decision "disappointing. However, along with our debate broadcast partners at Telemundo we will work in good faith to resolve this matter with the Republican Party."

Going after Reporters: Republicans aren’t stopping there either, taking note of this emerging story of phony outrage:

In the wake of the debate debacle that’s delivered a gut punch to CNBC, many staffers at the business network are divided over whether “extremely biased” and “far left” correspondent and moderator John Harwood should have been allowed on stage. Harwood is “not just extremely biased and partisan, but he’s the worst kind who isn’t self-aware that he is,” the insider continued. “Blindness to that is what allowed him on the debate stage.”

What we found out was Fox News asked similar, more insulting questions but got no blowback. Here's just one example. Washington Post:

And there’s no better example of the moderators looking to pit one Republican against another Republican than this one: “Mr. Trump, it has not escaped anybody’s notice that you say that the Mexican government, the Mexican government is sending criminals — rapists, drug dealers, across the border. Gov. Bush has called those remarks, quote, ‘extraordinarily ugly,’ I’d like you — you’re right next to him — tell us — talk to him directly and say how you respond to that…Why not use this…debate to share your proof with the American people?”

That example of malicious, divisive debate moderation comes from the Aug. 6 clash at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, which was hosted by Fox News and was greeted as a universal success. It’s not from last night’s Republican debate in Boulder, Colo., which was hosted by CNBC to nearly unanimous negative reviews.

For now, CNBC is publically defending Harwood against these attacks:

CNBC defended Harwood to TheWrap, saying he should be “applauded.” “Journalists who ask Presidential candidates substantive, challenging questions on interest rates, social security, the debt limit, student loans and taxes to name a few, should be applauded.”

Remember when Republicans wanted former CNN reporter and host Candy Crowley fired for correcting Mitt Rommey, when he said Obama didn't say the Benghazi attack was an act of terrorism for two weeks, when he actually did the first day? 

Or how about the media black out by tea party candidates who tried to hide their lack of ideas and lunatic agenda by vilifying the media, and then going out instead to overtly friendly conservative talk radio and television outlets?

RNC's attack on Hillary to focus on the letter "H" You won't believe what they have planned for "C"

RNC Chair Reince Priebus has rediscovered the alphabet, and the 8^th letter! He also plans to exploit its multiple uses against Hillary Clinton, whether it makes sense or not.

As you can see by the mob of similarly dressed Borg like GOP supporters, Hillary's symbolized “H” is the first letter of a lot of words…including hypocrite.

Because “hypocrite” is synonymous with the word Republican, it makes sense to try and rebrand it in time for the election. Yes, it’s all about marketing. And that's what Wisconsin embarrassment and huckster Priebus is all about.

Is Hillary really a renowned hypocrite?  Has she taken hypocrisy to such an extreme level that the RNC would print signs and organize photo op protests (remember, Republicans don’t protest) to get the message out?

Reince did offer one example of hypocrisy that will leave you scratching your head:

Hillary’s hypocrisy is unparalleled. Clinton has sent mixed signals, explicitly contradicted herself … On the economy, Clinton declared: “Don’t let anybody tell you that it’s corporations and businesses that create jobs.” But at campaign events she said she wants to be a “champion” for small businesses.

Ouch...but still not hypocritical. Hey it’s a word, a bad sounding word too.  Plus it’s a nice way to divert attention away from the idea that consumers drive the economy and job creation, not business. And small businesses can’t survive without first, consumers earning a decent wage, and second businesses having access to startup funding.

   

Hypocrisy…I don’t think so. But the alphabet campaign, starting with “H,” is so…so simple to understand.

The RNC lists issue after issue that miss more than hit Hillary for her position on trade. I share Hillary's hope that the TPP would be a ground breaking agreement for worker rights and the environment. But historically, these agreements have been a disaster. And Hillary's hesitations and hopes are listed right there on the RNC’s blog, which clearly shows she is not being hypocritical. She had been very wrong about other deals that show her corporate leanings (GOP positions) and will have to answer for them in her campaign. But that's not Priebus' point.

In fact, the RNC considers "not having a position" to be hypocritical as well. That would put every major GOP candidate for president ahead of Hillary in the number of "H"'s! Hyperbole could be another word.... 

RNC Poll says Party is Smug, Uncaring and Ideologically Rigid. And that's just the good news...

This GOP study might be an appropriate warning, but they will not change. Fine with me:

jsonline: A smug, uncaring, ideologically rigid national Republican Party is turning off the majority of American voters, with stale policies that have changed little in 30 years and an image that alienates minorities and the young, according to an internal GOP study.

That blunt assessment on the state of Republicanism at the national level comes from a major new report, released Monday, that will likely shake up an already battered party. It was commissioned by the head of the Republican National Committee in the wake of Mitt Romney's defeat last year.

Without offering detailed policy prescriptions, the 98-page report calls on the party to "smartly change course," modernize itself and develop "a more welcoming brand of conservatism that invites and inspires new people to visit us."

"Unless changes are made, it will be increasingly difficult for Republicans to win another presidential election in the near future," the report concludes.

Believe it or not, slow learner and bumbling RNC Chair Reince Piebus came right out and admitted that the party's next tactic is to "pay" people to hang out with minorities to spread their propaganda. Paid to be a part of minority communities. Would I kid you? Face the Nation host Bob Scheifer couldn't believe what he was hearing. Apparently, Reince is still worried about all those "unscripted moments" when Republicans say what they mean. Unintentionally funny stuff:



Here's more of the studies rollicking recommendations:

"The Republican Party needs to stop talking to itself," the study says. "We have become expert in how to provide ideological reinforcement to like-minded people, but devastatingly we have lost the ability to be persuasive with, or welcoming to, those who do not agree with us on every issue."

The report calls on Republicans to counter the party's image as an arm of business. It says Republicans should "blow the whistle at corporate malfeasance and attack corporate welfare. We should speak out when a company liquidates itself and its executives receive bonuses but rank-and-file workers are left unemployed. We should speak out when CEOs receive tens of millions of dollars in retirement packages but middle-class workers have not had a meaningful raise in years."

The Frightened Huddled Masses Heavy up Security at the RNC!!

Channel3000's Eric Franke noticed how bizarre it was to see so much security for the Republican National Convention. Who knew liberals were so dangerous. Franke says people attending likened it to a war zone.
