Trump's unfiltered Tweets Wrong Again, this time about Chevy Cruze.

The following two stories are bit ironic when you consider all the Republican criticism over Obama saving the U.S. auto industry. Now, they're making America great again. Stunning.

In another amazingly mistaken Tweet by Traitor Trump, under the guise of standing up for us hard working Americans, upends reality again:

President-elect Donald Trump sent out a tweet Tuesday morning threatening to tax General Motors for manufacturing abroad.

Not True...again: It's not like we didn't expect this from his paranoid fake news believing staffers feeding him this crap. Taking a small kernel of truth and twisting it into a troll appealing meme:

I'm wondering if US corporations will now have to create Trump Response departments just to clean up Trump's misinformed Twitter messes?

In a statement, however, GM said most Chevy Cruze vehicles sold in the US were manufactured in Ohio. It added that the company produced an international version of the Cruze, the model to which Trump was most likely referring, in Mexico and did sell some of those vehicles in the US. "GM builds the Chevrolet Cruze hatchback for global markets in Mexico, with a small number sold in the US," GM said.

Reality is Complicated: The global market vehicles typically don't have to meet U.S. standards and are based on a different platform. But here's the real twist. Business Insider:

Ironically, bringing some Cruzes in from Mexico is a way to forestall additional layoffs at the Lordstown plant. The lines there are scheduled to be idled for a week later this month, and a third shift will be discontinued as well, according to reports. Cruze sales have been declining as the market turns to favor SUVs. GM isn't going to drop the vehicle, but it is trying to figure out how to keep it going in the US. That's where the hatchback came in.

Get it? Importing some stock from Mexico was a job-preserving strategy. Everyone in the auto industry knows this.

Of course Trumpian voters love this stuff, whether Traitor Trump's misinformation works or not. Like the happy "We Won" sore winner below, who's devouring Trump's tweets while chugging down...hot cocoa?

Oh, and true to form, the creator of the mug is claiming to be a poor "victim" of liberal thuggery as well. Working on boosting a few "pity" sales?

700 New Jobs...Promised: Ford is hitching it's wagon to Trump and every major tax giveaway coming their way via the incoming Republicans. And it's great PR. Sure the lower tax rates will create yuge deficits and major spending cuts, but corporate welfare feels too good to stop right now:

Ford Motor Company on Tuesday announced plans to cancel the building of a $1.6 billion plant in Mexico and instead invest $700 million in a Michigan assembly plant, directly tying the decision to “pro-growth policies” championed by President-elect Donald Trump. Trump had previously been critical of Ford’s plans to build in Mexico.

CEO Mark Fields, speaking at an event at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant, said the policies that Trump “and the new Congress have indicated they will pursue” were vital to the company’s decision. “We believe these tax and regulatory reforms are necessary to boost U.S. competitiveness,” Fields said.

Mindless Trump Tweets for Real, or an intentional Political Distraction?

So many of Trump's Tweets treat old issues like fresh disagreements that must be regulated, like flag burning.

Yesterday, Trump tried to discredit Clinton's popular vote win and election integrity recounts, even though he promised to do the same thing if he lost. Seriously, you don't risk looking this dumb unless it's part of a more nefarious scheme, right?

While complaining about the press not covering the substance of his speeches, Trump's tweets don't talk about substance either...which true to form, lack substance altogether.

DNC Beats RNC for Third Straight Night in Early TV Ratings...

Early ratings results for Night 3 of the Democratic National Convention are in, and once again the DNC appears to have beat out the Republican National Convention. Donald Trump sent an e-mail to his supporters urging them not to watch Hillary Clinton deliver her nomination acceptance speech on the final night of the Democratic convention.

“I didn’t produce our show — I just showed up for the final speech on Thursday,” Trump told The New York Times in a phone call this week.
Trump actually broke with tradition by making multiple appearances during the Cleveland convention, coming on stage to introduce his wife Melania on the convention's opening night and appearing onstage with running mate Mike Pence, who followed Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) non-endorsement speech on the convention's third night.  His claim that he had no hand in the convention programming was also eyebrow-raising, given that campaigns typically dictate the speaker roster and many of the RNC speakers had direct ties to Trump. Among those were five members of the Trump family, the manager of Trump Winery and ‘80s sitcom star Scott Baio, who said Trump personally invited him to speak at a campaign fundraiser.
