Justice Bradley let's Right Wing radio's character assassin take his shot at Candidate James Daley.

Ann Walsh Bradley didn't have to say a thing about the most activist flame throwing conservative judge since Judge Rudolph Randa, instead she simply let right wing talker Mark Belling do it for her. Here's her hard hitting radio ad.

jsonline: Supreme Court Justice Ann Walsh Bradley on Thursday released a scorching campaign ad attacking her opponent in next month's Supreme Court election. The ad features a harsh rant by popular conservative radio talk show host Mark Belling accusing Bradley's challenger, Rock County Circuit Court Judge James Daley, of being soft on crime.

"He's unfit to serve giving his depraved view on plea bargaining and child abuse," Belling says as ominous music plays in the background. "It is Daley who decided to hand down a lenient, one-year sentence to a man who savagely beat the young child of his then-girlfriend."

Belling added that the injuries were described as "horrific." "I am not going to publicly say that I think that this man is fit to be on the state Supreme Court when he's not," Belling said. "He's a miserably rotten candidate."
Bradley is letting the ad speak for itself, and so is Belling:
In an email Friday, Belling said Bradley used his comments accurately and he thinks the case in question disqualifies Daley for service on the Supreme Court.
Is Judge James Daley a conservative activist and rubber stamp for Scott Walker? He said he just happens to get invites to speak to interested Republicans...coincidence? You be the judge. I wrote about this here:

Mark Belling accused poor defenseless Mary Burke of recruiting her Brother to Fight her campaign battles.

My conservative friend in Milwaukee called to tell me how WISN's Mark Belling was about to trash Mary Burke for offshoring jobs at Trek. He even held the phone up to the radio so I hear Belling's commentary. He accused Burke of being a weak defenseless woman for getting her brother John to bash Walker for lying.
Belling: Says women like Burke are weak,
need men to defend them.

Belling accused Burke of not having the leadership to responded to Scott Walker's accusations that she ordered Trek to out source jobs to China.

Burke didn't respond? Even after running ads that RESPONDED to Walker's clueless misguided claims about offshoring jobs. Even the papers covered this one. Like this supposed "non-response" in the Journal Sentinel:
Mary Burke said that if Walker knew more about business he would understand that Wisconsin companies such as Trek, Kohler or Harley-Davidson need to manufacture around the world.
"That ad says more about him than it does about me, or for Trek," Burke said during an interview with the Journal Sentinel. "It shows that he puts politics in front of what's good for the state, and for the people. For him to drag a great Wisconsin company through the mud is bad for business. It's all about politics with him."
Burke is right, Walker is a career politician who thinks of himself as a "small businessman" managing the states economy. The state is "small?" Walker made that claim after becoming governor.

War on Women continued...: Belling then accused Burke of enlisting her brother to fight her battles for her, because you know, women are weak and depend on men for everything. Belling knew what he was doing, getting as much mileage out of his misogynistic, demeaning and completely fabricated attack on Burke.

Check out the audio clip below, which features Belling reading from John Burke's newspaper ad that offered up a few things you may not have known, like the fact that Trek helped fund the Madison bike sharing service. Gee, a business that cares about, and funds, social services. Walker can't have that:
Belling: "Mary Burke doesn't have guts to respond to a political attack ad on her by responding herself. She's got to trot out her brother...do the responding for her. Just in and of itself, it gives you an indication of her leadership skills, or lack there of."

What's just as strange is Belling's willingness to support Walker's deceptive twisting of the facts to make his case for reelection. Twisting the truth upside down is apparently fair game.

Unrelated but important: Walker's claim Trek didn't pay any corporate income tax is another fine example of lying while still telling the "truth." This factoid goes out to the guy who Tweeted he still trusts Walker more than Burke or any Democrat. Walkerites love being duped?
jsonline: Gov. Scott Walker stepped up his attack on Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke and her family's bicycle business Monday by accusing the company of not paying state corporate income tax.

Burke's campaign fired back and said Walker is either "ignorant or outright lying" about how Trek Bicycle pays taxes in Wisconsin. Like many other businesses, Trek's owners pay taxes on the company's profits as individuals rather than through corporate taxes. Trek files taxes under "Subchapter S" of the Internal Revenue Service Code. In an S-corporation, the tax obligation is passed on to a company's shareholders.
Oddly, Walker doesn't have a problem with his blatant misdirection play to his supporters. Not much to brag about Scott?

Conservative radio's Belling wallows in Walker takeover, Democratic Defeats, Supreme Court activism...over confidence?

Rush fill-in and fantasy political league cheerleader Mark Belling can't hold back his excitement over an editorial by The Progressive's very dejected sounding Matthew Rothschild. He wrote:

The mass protests that I expected this week at the capitol in Madison did not materialize. On Tuesday, there were maybe 5,000 people there. On Thursday, barely 1,000. I’m sorry, but that was pathetic. Part of the problem may have been poor organizing.

Typical of most conservatives who don't understand the liberal psyche, Belling put way too much meaning into Rothschild's daily editorial mood swings. His comments are recorded and broadcast on The MIC 92.1 in Madison.

In hyperbole based conservative talk radio, and Belling's almost cartoonish alternative universe, Walker crushed the protesters and the Wisconsin 14.  For Belling this makes Scott Walker close to being a "looming, Republican Party national superstar." Currently, Walker is only a "towering national figure." Belling bellows "He ought to send them a thank you card for the stupidity and incompetence they showed..."

The nine minute piece has all the class of a gloating carnival barker, doing a victory dance on the graves of those protesters he calls "weirder and loonier" than ever before. The message is clear; protesting is a waste of time. Belling pretends this is only the beginning of a long GOP occupation of the state Capitol. We're a red state now, so sit down and shut up. (edited for time but not context)

Belling's Intellectual Assessment of Protesters: "Not even human beings, they are so ugly, they are so disheveled, they are so stinky...."

Radio conservative talker Mark Belling foams at the mouth over a simple thing like the people protesting their government.

"Their selfish little concerns" is just the beginning. Belling also gets a call from Sheriff David Clarke, who makes fun of protesters during his recent visit where protesters were singing "We shall over come."

In Belling's world only a few loud mouthed tea party protesters at town halls holding their disruption cheat sheets from Freedom Works have a Constitutional right to protest and highjack their lawmakers meeting. And they were whining about completely fictitious issues.

Conservative Bull-shitter and radio host Mark Belling Lied about Feingold ad

I know, the title contains pretty strong language, but Belling is smearing excrement all over the business I once loved.

Jsonline: Mark Belling, WISN-AM (1130), now says the Russ Feingold "Garage Door" television ad is not a fake.

No kidding! Having lived in the area for years and having seen the actual ad myself, Belling could have asked almost anyone in the media if the ad was real or not, before just MAKING THINGS UP.

What is it about conservative who BS and pass out back hand mea culpas, like this:
"It may be phony and disingenuous, but it's not a fake," Belling writes in a post on his web site.
What could possibly be phony or disingenuous about Feingold’s old political campaign ad? His "correction" makes about as much sense as the crap Belling belched out on his radio show about how Feingold created the ad. You’d have to be on an hallucinogen to come up with this convoluted tale of fiction:
On Tuesday, Belling declared on his drive time show and web site that Feingold's ad was made using a "green screen," and that Feingold filmed his portion elsewhere and had it superimposed over an image of his Middleton home. Belling's take on the ad was the subject of a PolitiFact Wisconsin item in Thursday's paper. Belling later admitted he had no proof that a green screen technique was used. Feingold and several witnesses say he was filmed at the house.
I can say without equivocation, having been a radio host myself for 25 years, that there is no longer a community standard or ethical responsibility by program directors or broadcaster of conservative talk to put out a quality product.
