The Act 10 Holiday celebrated by Freeloaders.

Act 10's anniversary came and went without anybody noticing because right-wingers didn't want to even try to defend the indefensible. Let's take a look at Act 10's legacy of change.

IT'S A TAX CUT ENTITLEMENT: Scott Walker and his band of gerrymandered legislative plundering pirates have oddly convinced "hard working" conservative voters there really is a "free lunch," it's just that they have packaged it under the name "tax cut."

In Republican fantasy world, there is no such thing as a tax increase, ever. The way they see it, nothing ever gets more expensive, wears out, becomes outdate, or improves via new life changing technologies. The "tax cut entitlement" mindset is their just due, their money, not the governments.

WHEN REPUBLICANS LOVE SOCIALISM: My Trump cultist friend in Milwaukee recently bragged Trump is spending money on the pandemic...uh, that's socialism. All the while Trump is sticking with his mind boggling proposed budget cuts to the CDC, even after all this.

RIGHT WISCONSIN'S "ACT 10 HOLIDAY" or ST. PATTYS DAY MALARKY? The problem is state aid for public schools is still below what was spent 10 years ago. Freeloading Republicans perform clever math. The formula: spending cuts = surplus = tax cut + backfill spending cuts (by saving us from the problem they created). See below:

Here's how the McIver Institute see's Wisconsinites exercising their First Amendment right "of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." 

"As far as the government unions were concerned, the budget repair bill was the end of the world – and they acted like it. For a month, they coordinated the occupation of the hallowed halls of the Wisconsin State Capitol by juggling clowns, college potheads, exploited children, out-of-state communists, card-carrying socialist state employees, malingering public school teachers, derelict doctors, and thousands of other protesters."

Let's take a look at what M.D. Kittle wrote in 2018 about what the new kind of "worker freedom" did for state employees (my comments in bold directed at underlined Kittle bullshit):

Time would prove wrong the liberals who used dire predictions about Act 10 to fuel their political recall campaigns (the real point of Act 10, defund Dem political campaigns). The law saved Wisconsin taxpayers more than $5 billion (pulled $5 billion that teachers could spend in their local economies) in its first five years alone. Wisconsin school districts have saved more than $3.2 billion in benefits costs (then saw a cut in state funding by $600 million in 2012), thanks to employee contributions and greater competition in the health insurance marketplace. Wisconsin schools pumped those savings back into education (to make up for funding cuts), rewarding exemplary teachers (bidding wars that drained rural teacher supply giving wealthy districts the advantage), reducing class sizes by hiring additional educators (teacher supply shortage resulting in lower qualifications), and expanding or improving other initiatives and programs (whatever you want to make up here).

Republicans may can take credit for tax cuts, but they'll never bring up the hike in taxes by most local governments around the state. This is dishonest reelection material only.

With school test score down now, rural schools closing and losing teachers, endless but very necessary referendums, and union apprenticeship programs hurt by the "right-to-work" law, you'll notice who won the battle in Wisconsin according to Kittle.

"Thank you Scott Walker for having the courage to stand up to the status quo and Big Labor."

If "big labor" lost, then it goes without saying that big business won. Don't forget, big labor includes all workers, every person who makes big business succeed.  

Guilty Walker aide described as "First Political Prisoner."

Now a real contender, Scott Walker's run for president has made defending his past authoritarian misdeeds an almost surreal experience, even downright breathtaking. 

The Wisconsin Reporter may be the most outrageous attempt to date, with the sad story of lawless Walker aide, Kelly Rindfliesch. "Reporter" M.D. Kittle goes for broke defending illegal campaign emails by Rindfliesch. 

Kittle's Onion-esque title is pictured here, with a Tweet of support from another victim of liberal harassment, right wing radio host Vicki McKenna. 

Jaw dropping and ridiculous, Kittle is trying to make the case that conservatives should not be prosecuted by liberal DA's, even if they're caught breaking the law...just a little bit. 

Described as a "secret war on conservatives," Rindfliesch is laughably portrayed as "the first political prisoner." You really can't make this up any better than these right wing spin-meisters. You'll notice in the article that the secret router used to illegally campaign is never mentioned. Just an oversight I'm sure: 

Fox News: Kelly Rindfliesch could become the first political prisoner in what many see as a Democrat-led secret war on conservatives. Rindfleisch, was convicted in 2012 on a nebulous charge of misconduct in public office for answering campaign emails while serving as an aide to Gov. Scott Walker ... The charge, like the prosecutors' sweeping search of Rindfleisch's computers and smartphones, appears to have been expansive and ill-fitting her "crimes." 

"This started with them (Milwaukee County District Attorney's office) trying to get something on Scott Walker while he was running for governor, and their aggressiveness increased with the passage of Act 10, and it was no holds barred," Rindfleisch said. "They were going to do whatever they had to do to get him, even if it destroyed other people." 

You gotta love this....

Her attorney, Frank Gimbel, tells Wisconsin Reporter he will file a habeas corpus petition with the United States District Court for the Eastern District in Milwaukee. It’s a rather unusual move.

“We are challenging the state official that will have custody of Kelly on the grounds of this has gotten to the point where her liberty was taken away from her. And because she was deprived of due process, we’re asking the federal court to release her,” Gimbel said.

Stunningly bad reporting and outrageous spin.

Republicans drag Kindergarten Teacher through the Right Wing Media Mud.

If some right winger came up and destroyed a few Mary Burke signs, would you hunt them down and charge them with vandalism? Not me, but our police state minded tea party losers would, and did just that…to a kindergarten teacher. 

Even crazier? Wisconsin Reporter M.D. Kittle was finally able to expose this criminals name, and publicly shame her. Kittle's laughably extensive coverage of this incredibly uninteresting story is jaw dropping to say the least:

10 signs knocked over!!

Wisconsin Reporter has learned the identity of the suspect accused of politically motivated disorderly conduct at last month’s Jefferson County Fair. April Kay Smith, 38, a kindergarten teacher in the Germantown School District, was issued a disorderly conduct citation for tearing up and stomping on several signs on July 9 at the Jefferson County Republican Party booth after the fair had shut down for the night.

In an instant, our one party authoritarian brown shirts were on it:

A witness, Roxane Stillman, 62, of rural Madison, reported seeing Smith destroy the signs. Stillman, in a July 23 story, told Wisconsin Reporter she followed the suspect around the fairgrounds for more than a half hour, calling out for a police officer.

Poor Stillman didn't even have a gun to defend herself, and our children, from someone so dangerous:

Stillman told Wisconsin Reporter that she has pressed for the suspect’s identity because she is concerned that someone who seems to be carrying so much anger and partisan aggression would be teaching children.

Overzealous much? To top it all off, our lawsuit crazy conservative hypocrites were ready to sue to get this kindergarten teachers name:

The Sheriff’s Department, as of Monday morning, had yet to release details … The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty, or WILL, sent the county a letter advising that the Sheriff’s Department interpretation of the court decision is overly broad and the agency could risk a lawsuit if it continues to keep basic information from the public.

And you gotta know something this sick is right up Vicki McKenna’s alley:

The Jefferson County GOP first made the matter public on conservative talk show host Vicki McKenna’s show a few days after the incident … The woman started walking away — then she started running, Stillman said. “I said, ‘Honey, I’m good for about five miles. If you want to run, that’s OK. I’ll stay with you,’” Stillman said. “Everywhere we walked, I yelled out, “Someone get the police! This lady damaged property.”

This is the party of freedom and liberty folks. Be warned, they will hunt you down for crossing them or for resisting their one party agenda, and send their intrepid reporter Kittle to drag you through the right wing media for a public shaming. That should quell dissent. A real scoop there Kittle.

Wisconsin Reporter Kittle goes partisan crazy over John Doe Investigations.

Despite its blatant right wing lean, Wisconsin Reporter’s M.D. Kittle has written a few decent pieces from time to time. Curious, I went to WR to see what Kittle had done lately. Below is one of Kittle's most recent hallucinations (part 27 of his 29 part series. Yikes!), and one of the most ridiculous stories yet on the John Doe investigation. 

Kittle’s and Bits: Here are some mind-bending examples of Kittle's right wing spin...uh, I mean reporting, that minimizes actual corruption under Scott Walker:

“…news headlines nationwide screamed of Gov. Scott Walker’s “apparent” knowledge of illegal campaigning…”

“…the Democrat-led Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office … quest for convictions fizzled out. Democrat DA John Chisholm and his prosecution squad … compiled six convictions, only two of them related to the original scope of the John Doe.”

“’I use this private account quite a bit to communicate with SKW,” Cynthia Archer, Walker’s administration director wrote … nothing contained … led to charges of illegal activity against Walker.”

“Left-bending  American Bridge, a super political action committee … giddily announced it was launching a new website on Wisconsin’s not-so-secret John Doe probes.”

Leaking Double Standard: Wisconsin Reporter’s outrage over the first John Doe’s “leaks” is a bit disingenuous:

“…the judge of the nearly three-year “secret” investigation … Wisconsin’s not-so-secret John Doe probes … the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the recipient of so much leaked information from that probe.”

Almost laughable is Kittle’s mind blowing switcheroo and constitutional defense of right wing leaks: 

But unlike the previous John Doe, when so many conservatives seemed paralyzed by the investigation’s gag order, some on the right are speaking up and speaking out about what they see as an assault on their First Amendment rights. And they sound like they do not intend to go down quietly without a fight.

So much for what passes as "reporting" in conservative media.
