Walker won't have his panting lap dog voters if he runs for president.

Walkermaniacs have invested so much of themselves in Scott Walker's faltering ideologically driven political agenda, that any attempt to defeat him just hardened their resolve at election time. Their voter turnout never wavered. Why? Because any attempt to stop, set back or defeat Walker were taken personally by his voting base.

Just barely interested? 

Progressives have nothing to apologize for in their attempt to protest Walker's attack on collective bargaining or their decision to have him recalled. But each of those events solidified Walker's base. That's another reason vote totals supporting Walker never changed. That's why Wisconsin is the most divided state. He could conceivably stay in power for a long time too, because performance in office isn't an issue.

Slower job growth, more borrowing, deeper spending cuts aren't on his voters radar, because their finely oiled media machine keeps them distracted with newly created hot button issues that bash the nations home grown liberal terrorists. John Doe convictions for Walker's closest aides? Forget about it.

But Walker has a problem running for president. He won't have that loyal and breathlessly dedicated voter base to cling to. He'll have to stand on stage with the other presidential contenders raising his hand for yes or no questions about global warming, gay marriage, contraception, the minimum wage, cutting Social Security and Medicare. He won't be able to play the victim of his party's relentless focus on abortion, voter suppression and education reform.

Slick Scottie will have to lay it all out there. The America Prospect wrote this about our states popular sociopath:

Of all the potential GOP 2016 candidates, Walker may be the most terrifying. Yes, it would be a calamity of apocalyptic proportions if Ted Cruz were to become president, but we all know that's never going to happen. Walker, however, is a much more credible candidate.

But I don't think so, at least, not without his loyal base. As the Prospect noted:

Scott Walker trashes Dumb Ron Johnson, believes in a Perpetual War "Properly Administered."

Scott Walker says Americans love perpetual war, and want to engage the world militarily for however long it takes to "win." Who knew? 

Breathtakingly authoritarian, Scott Walker believes that our recent wars "just haven't been properly administered." This great military mind knows what to do?  

National Review: On foreign policy, Walker positioned himself firmly in the establishment camp, dismissing arguments that Republican voters want to see the United States reduce its engagement with the world. “I don’t believe that,” he said. “I believe fundamentally the reason why many young voters are suspect about foreign policy and the wars and many things like that is that they just haven’t been properly administered,” he said.

Even Scott Walker can't stand Dumb Ron Johnson's panicky guy routine. Nice quotable Democratic campaign material for 2016:

Walker also threw some elbows at Washington Republicans, criticizing them for harping on issues like the debt and the deficit without offering a positive vision for the future. “We have to be optimistic,” he said. He pointed to a particular senator who “constantly talks about how horrible the debt is.” Walker said that, while he shares the sentiment, the issue has limited popular appeal. At times, he said that listening to the senator harping on it makes him “want to slit my wrists because I’m just like, ‘My God, this is so awful, I cannot believe this.’”

Here in Wisconsin, Walker is playing gender politics against Mary Burke, with condescending comments that sound amazingly desperate. Maybe it's the people...again, he's surrounded himself with:

As Walker was garnering applause from the lunch crowd, the aides he had in tow were getting less positive feedback. Though operating on friendly turf, they acted skittish, guarded, and unfriendly. An event organizer complained that the governor’s team was dismissive and difficult to deal with, and that she found it nearly impossible to get Walker on the phone with his host.

Scott Walker negotiating John Doe 2 Deal? There’s no honor among thieves!

This guy is toast...if the rumor is true. As spelled out in the Wall Street Journal:

jsonline: "We've learned that Steven Biskupic, who represents Friends of Scott Walker, has been negotiating with Wisconsin special prosecutor Francis Schmitz to settle the state's investigation. The understandable concern among the direct targets of the John Doe is that Mr. Biskupic will cut a deal that would exonerate Mr. Walker while wresting concessions from some of Mr. Walker's allies," the editorial reads. "...Sounds like Mr. Walker has to decide whose side he's on — his own, or the larger principles he claims to represent."

Scott Walker’s very visible presidential aspirations are revealing just what kind of guy he is, and it ain't pretty. That was obvious from the kind of people he surrounded himself with.

Gov. Scott Walker's campaign may be negotiating with prosecutors as part of a secret investigation into the 2012 recall campaigns involving him and other candidates, according to an anonymously sourced opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal.

Until now, the conservative editorial page of the national newspaper has defended Walker … But in the editorial published Tuesday night, the newspaper attacked Walker, alleging that his attorney was negotiating with authorities at a time when the prosecutors have had their investigation halted by a federal judge.

It’s time to leave a few friends behind…   

A source with knowledge of the probe told the Journal Sentinel that other parties caught up in it are worried that the attorney for the Walker campaign, Steven Biskupic, is not advocating for an aggressive enough approach with prosecutors. 

Walker's condescending letter to the President. Propane shortage just an excuse to look presidential.

The free market lobbyists for the propane industry are raking in huge profits shipping supplies overseas, while taxpayers come to the rescue of homeowners hit with propane shortages. We pay again.

Sen. Tammy Baldwin's  been all over this:

Senator Tammy Baldwin today continued to push the Obama Administration for action on the propane crisis in Wisconsin. Last week, in light of the fact that propane exports increased by 120,000 a day while Wisconsin faced a supply shortfall, Baldwin called on President Obama to moderate exports to ensure consumers have the fuel they need to keep warm through the winter.
