Westlund Frustration: Voter Confusion, Party Flip Flopping Shenanigans will only help reelect Tea Party rubber stamp Rep. Sean Duffy!

I thought it was funny enough that a Republican/libertarian, who ran as a fake Democrat in a 2010 primary, switched back to Republican so he could primary tea party Rep. Sean Duffy. But that was before I realized an anti-government tea party/libertarian decided to run as a Democrat against Kelly Westlund.

It’s a race the media should be covering but isn’t because everyone assumes Duffy’s newly drawn district makes him a shoo-in. But…

In an amazing headline devoid of any critical thinking whatsoever, “Democrats Vying for 7th Congressional District Oppose Each Other On Most Issues,” it was apparent right away Westlund’s primary opponent was a Republican and/or libertarian zealot posing as a Democrat.

I mean really, what were the clues:
Mike Krsieann is a self-employed design engineer and farmer who wants to cut the size of government. Krsiean wants to phase out Social Security all together. “I want to give young people who have not yet had quite a few years investing in the soon-to-be-failed Social Security system (the) option to opt out.“

Krsiean wants to eliminate the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Education, the IRS and the Federal Reserve.

Krsiean said the Penokee Hills iron mine needs to go forward for the sake of jobs. “America needs steel,” said Krsiean. “The people of Iron County need jobs.”
Heck, Krsiean’s own twisted reasoning for running as a Democrat is enough to make your head explode:
Krsiean, who has previously campaigned as a Republican and a Libertarian, thought he would run as a Democrat this time. "I think my chances are very good. As a whole, the 7th District has very conservative Democratic values."
Next Tuesday’s primary will give us an idea of just how “Republican” the 7th District is now, by counting the votes from low information Dodo’s that can’t tell the difference between Westlund and Krsiend.

Benghazi, Benghazi, Baby...huh?

Congratulations to Benghazi...I mean Rep. Sean Duffy for the birth of his Bengha...I mean daughter.

I was curious as to why Duffy missed most of his congressional votes last week and this, so I went to his Facebook page. Believe it or not, the birth of his daughter is mentioned last after Benghazi and school choice. Stunning:

And Duffy once complained he had a hard time making ends meet on his Congressional salary.

Suppose Duffy loses his job in November to Democratic challenger Kelly Westlund (she's so much better)? Can you say BadgerCare, food stamps, free school lunches?

Kelly Westlund takes on Tea Party's Sean Duffy.

Rep. Sean Duffy's adolescent behavior in congress needs to come to an end. The tea party goal of tanking the economy so they can start everything over again, including writing a whole new constitution, can't be a Wisconsin value..or sane for that matter.

An outspoken critic of the GTAC mine, Kelly Westlund is a no nonsense powerhouse. Here's Westlund debating Rep. Scott Suder on WKOW's Capitol City Sunday. She kicked his ass:

WPR: Ashland city councilwoman and small business owner Kelly Westlund has announced her candidacy against U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Wisc).

One of her first priorities would be raising the minimum wage to $10 an hour. “Sean Duffy refuses to support raising the minimum wage to a living wage for working people, and then he complains that he struggles to get by on his salary of $174,000 a year,” said Westlund.

Westlund said she would make an issue out of Duffy's role in the events leading to the U.S. government shutdown. “In this district there are a lot of federal workers, and when those federal workers weren't getting their paychecks, that's money that wasn't being reinvested in our local communities,” said Westlund.
WISGOP chimed in with another one of their empty and meaningless comments:
In a press release, Westlund’s candidacy was slammed by the Republican Party of Wisconsin, which said she “would be nothing more than a blank check for Barack Obama.”
They’ve got absolutely to come back with, and little to defend when you consider how Duffy backed the government shutdown and flushed $24 billion down the drain:
Westlund told reporters that she would stand up to the president on the issue of social security cuts. “It's kind of absurd to me that Sean Duffy would talk about me being a blank check for President Obama when he's a blank check for big money interests like oil companies.”
