Walker's dystopian vision will push the threat of economic isolation, military feet on the ground and "steal in the face of our enemies."

I thought Scott Walker was an egomaniacal sociopathic rightwing authoritarian before it was okay to say such a thing about our likable 3 time winning governor.

Walker's latest "steal in the face of our enemies" threat to China should end all speculation about his readiness to be president. Talk about knee-jerk reaction:

“Americans are struggling to cope with the fall in today's markets driven in part by China's slowing economy and the fact that they actively manipulate their economy ... President Obama needs to cancel the state visit ... we need to see some backbone from President Obama on U.S.-China relations."

You could even call this Walker's "McCain moment. Remember?

John McCain announced that he would suspend his campaign and asked that Friday's debate be postponed. Why? Because of the "historic crisis in our financial system."

Walker's absurd "backseat" order to the current president was remarkably similar to an order he gave to his predecessor Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle, when he asked him to stop hammering out a deal with the states public unions before leaving office.

Bottom line: Believe it or not, Walker wants to penalize China for trying to reform their economic system, a goal of the U.S. for years.

One Wisconsin Now made an important point. In fact, if anybody needs a backbone it's Scott Walker, Walker was once drooling over the possibility of trade with China. A quick search through the Journal Sentinel archives turned up this list:

Here's one of the reasons for China market instability, which had more to do with reform and a much needed market correction. You'd think Walker would have taken a little time to look it up himself:

An editorial openly called out people questioning China's attempt at economic reform (including weeding out corruption) known as "The New Normal." That was published across multiple publications, including the People's Daily. The piece was signed by "Guoping," a pen name the government uses when it wants to get its point across.

"The New Normal" is the government's name for the inevitable slowdown that has come from China's transition from an economy based on investment to one based on consumption. It's a long-term reform play and, to many, one that's long overdue. But it comes with major pain. Xi had prepped his people for lower growth, but no one expected the slowdown would come so hard and fast. This is a test of the leadership's ability to execute its mission.

Forget what you may have heard from Sen. Mitch McConnell, who couldn't wait to tell his first big lie about the green energy agreement between the U.S. and China.

Chris Hayes dug deeper and interviewed John Holdren, the presidents top science adviser, who knew all the details, contradicting everything spilling out of the Republican oil dependent spin machine.

The idea that China would wait 16 years to go green and meet the 20% goal is absurd, as McConnell claimed.

Corporate Paradise China forced to deal with troublesome "human capital."

The much touted "business paradise" of China, may be throwing Republican free market lawmakers like Dumb Ron Johnson a curve ball, forcing them to look elsewhere for their slave labor needs.

While the U.S. corporate elite look forward to building employee dorms for the desperate jobless who have had their unemployment and food stamp benefits cut, China is moving away from that business model.

With my tin-foil hat firmly in place, I can't help but wonder what this all means. With “re-education” job training programs already a part of the Republican Party’s scheme to do away with our safety net programs, how long will it be before they take the next step:

Fox News: The labor camp -- or "re-education through labor" -- system was established to punish early critics of the Communist Party but now is used by local officials to deal with people challenging their authority.

Is this what Republicans like so much about China? Since Republicans have already vilified people for just being liberal (unnoticed by the mainstream press by the way), they might like to use their disdain for these Godless Democrats as a reason to re-educate” them. See if the qualities listed below describe our current radicalized right wing and their plans for Americans:  

Pu Zhiqiang, a prominent Beijing lawyer: "There have been many methods used recently by this government that are against the rule of law, and do not respect human rights, or freedom of speech, but by abolishing the labor camps ... it makes it much harder for the police to put these people they clamp down on into labor camps."

GOP prefers Business Friendly Post-Apocalyptic kind of U.S., like China.

Republicans like Dumb Ron Johnson have lamented playing second fiddle to business friendly countries like China. While we have strict environmental laws, China has been more forgiving and open to relaxed corporate standards that reduce the cost of doing business. 

I'm posting this because just recently the GOP wanted to lift the government shutdown if Democrats agreed to give business more "freedom" when it comes to pollutants, expanded mining, fracking, logging etc...another words, be like China. 

The U.S. could learn a few things? Or not…

Jonathan Turley/Yahoo: We have followed the environmental meltdown in China which only recently moved to deal with a myriad of pollutants that have created cancer spikes and suffocating health conditions. For decades, the authoritarian government posted false readings that became increasing comical … Schools have been closed and people have been told to hunker down in their homes. Citizens are discussing how the elite in government use public money to install expensive air cleaning systems in their offices and homes while the rest of China suck in the hazardous levels of pollutants.

With political power held in the hands of one party and a government that has long placed production ahead of every value, China is now a nightmare of a modern industrial wasteland. It would be interesting to see how the food and pollution scandals are affecting tourism. Cities like Harbin now look like some movie set of a post-apocalyptic industrial wasteland — not exactly an appealing prospect for most families. 

This is how Republicans want to change the U.S., and create jobs. Imagine putting aside our silly arguments about expanding vouchers and dealing with breathable air in our schools instead. Now that's a real problem.

Ego Tripping to China, Walker brags state political unrest got China’s attention.

Under the possibility of uncapping foreign purchases of Wisconsin land, Scott Walker said basically his “divide and conquer” political policy and social unrest caught the interest of China. How nice, a authoritarian communist country likes what it sees....

And with China’s past and present labor policies, what’s not to like about Walker's approach:

AP: Gov. Scott Walker departs Friday for his first overseas trade mission, a 10-day tour to China that comes as Walker keeps up a furious travel schedule in the United States.

Walker said being the first governor to survive a recall election will help him lead a more successful trade mission. "For Wisconsin, whatever notoriety I have because of the last couple years makes it more interesting for leaders in China to want to talk to us," he said.

Bain's Sensata Technologies move to China gets Media Mention....

Huffington Post's Ryan Grim trashes Bain Capital, all the while explaining how Mitt Romney pocketed $1 million for shipping Sensata jobs to China.

The Bain Funds sales pitch for offshoring work to China:

Manufacturing wages are 85% lower than American.

Likelihood that China will surpass the U.S. as the world's largest economy.

Bain was made in the image of Romney, yet the race is even? Maybe the American public is okay with a return to slavery...their own. Al Sharpton:

Ryan promises to crack down on China, you know, like Pres. Obama is.

In case you missed it, Obama hasn't been shy about penalizing China for dumping products in the U.S. But oddly, Paul Ryan hasn't noticed, or he's lying again about another phony issue.

CBS: Vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan on Thursday accused President Obama of allowing China to treat him like a "doormat" and failing to stop its economic cheating.

"Free trade is a powerful tool for peace and prosperity, but our trading partners need to play by the rules. And this challenge focuses on China," Ryan said

Obama "said he'd go to the mat with China," Ryan added. "Instead, they're treating him like a doormat. We're not going to let that happen. Mitt Romney and I are going to crack down on China cheating. And we're going to make sure that trade works for Americans."

Ryan voted against a House-passed bill in September 2010 authorizing the Commerce Department to impose duties on imports from countries with undervalued currencies such as China.

In what looks like a talking point right out of Scott Walker's playbook, Romney and Ryan are promising...jobs, and lots of them. 

Ryan also talked up Romney's economic plan that promises to create 12 million jobs in the next four years.

In a statement that sounds more like the ranting’s of a third world dictator, Ryan's authoritarian streak is starting to dominate his subject matter. If you want to hand over "moral authority" to Ryan, in the form of an irreversible "covenant" and "mandate," than :

"We want to honor you by giving you the choice. So that we can earn victory, so that we will deserve victory, so that we will have the moral authority, the obligation, the contract, the covenant, and the mandate to do what needs to be done to get this country back on track," he said. His remarks made clear that Romney and Ryan are seeking not just a victory, but a mandate from the American people.

Romney's Bain Capital acquisition, Sensata Technologies, Takes Down U.S. Flag for Chinese!!!

Turning our lives over to corporate ownership will soon be providing a few surprises to those demanding freedom and liberty from regulations and government interference.

As Think Progress reported back in June:

Employees at Sensata Technologies in Freeport, Illinois, protested Mitt Romney's visit  to nearby Janesville, asking the Republican presidential candidate and former head of Bain Capital for their jobs. Sensata is now owned by Bain and is in the process of laying off hundreds of American workers. The workers know that Romney has the influence at Bain to save their jobs and since he's campaigning on a "jobs first" platform, they asked him to put his money where his mouth is.

Another protest is again taking place, this time at the Wisconsin Romney Headquarters at 2980 Cahill Main in Fitchburg at 4:30 PM. Below, Sly in the Morning talked with Tom Gaulrapp, who revealed what happened at Sensata when they hosted a few Chinese engeneers. They took the American flag down:

Republican Chairman of House Energy and Commerce, Cliff Stearns: "We can't compete with China..."

What would you say if Pres. Obama came out and declared America couldn't compete with China on wind turbines and solar panels? He didn’t say that, but that’s what the Republican Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations said the other day in an interview on NPR.

Chairman Cliff Stearns: "We can't compete with China to make solar panels and wind turbines."

At least not until Republicans can bring American wages down to China’s level, and they’re getting that done on statewide levels with draconian austerity measures.

I ran this quote by my conservative friend, to see if he wasn’t as outrage as I was. He said, “We probably can’t.”

You might remember this was the same reaction Republican had about saving the U.S. auto industry. They wanted to give that industry up to Japan.

Is this the example of American exceptionalism they brag so often about?  

China's trade end game ignored by Republicans, who'll act surprised when our corporate economy with fewer jobs crashes again.

Dylan Ratigan had this great segment on China, and how it's looking out for its own best interest, while American business would prefer government get out of the way and NOT look out for the best interest of the country. This is must see stuff, and easy to understand. We lost 10 million jobs to China, and another 10 million that could have been created had it not been for unfair trade.

Giving business free rein, as advocated by Republicans, is an irrational business plan for America.
