After Nazi comment, GOP Rep. Joe Sanfelippo was asked: "Did you just call my Dane County Deputies Nazis?" Yes.

Republicans are so over us, any accountability and the laws that govern everybody else. Republican Rep. Joe Sanfelippo said that those laws, similar to the ones used by the Nazis, still apply to regular citizens, but not politicians.

Why some law enforcement groups still choose to back Republicans is a mystery to me, especially after Sanfelippo's Nazi comparison. Where do guys like this come from...not Wisconsin?

Here's the exchange featuring Sanfelippo, Dianne Hesselbein, and Chris Danou. A clarifying moment:

Ending GAB, Republicans save us from Nazi Tactics.

With the backing and blessing of Scott Walker, Republicans are about to get rid of the Government Accountability Board, the state elections and ethics watchdog. And the reasons for doing so are baffling:
Many Republicans say the legislation is needed to ensure ethics laws are enforced fairly and people's free speech rights are protected.
Walker and the Republicans are striking out against the John Doe probes, investigations they thought victimized conservatives and were politically motivated. After stacking the courts with conservative activist judges willing to support their claims, Republicans have successfully suckered in their emotionally invested voters. And what about former Gov. Jim Doyle's travel gate fabrication, and Hillary's Benghazi and private email attacks? They're completely different, as one Walker supporter told me the other day. It's a disconnect I see a lot from the hypocritical right wing.

It's all about "liberty" and "free speech," and not about investigating what appeared to be illegal activity by Republicans during the recalls. They're essentially saying Democrats should have been investigated too, you know, just to make things equal.

NAZI TACTICS: Republicans say the John Doe probes of politicians remind them of Nazi Germany. Oddly, that same comparison doesn't apply to John Doe probes of anyone else suspected of illegal activity. WPR's Shawn Johnson noticed that, and unlike other media outlets, played the audio proof in his report:

Sanfelippo: "You're okay with the tactics employed by the SS and the Nazi's in WW2?"
Keeping these more radical statements out of the public eye and their local news reports only emboldens the Republican authoritarian takeover of our state. Like this segment from WISC, featuring Republican Dave Craig pushing bullshit like protecting our constitutional liberty's and being fair prosecuting crimes, blah, blah, blah...:

One of the few Republicans that gets it, but still votes the wrong way, Sen. Luther Olsen, highlighted the most glaring problem with the new partisan oversight board, filled with 3 Republicans and 3 Democrats. Seriously, reporters never once asked about this?
Sen. Luther Olsen (R-Ripon) said he had concerns about eliminating the judges and about putting equal numbers of appointees from both parties on the new commissions. In controversial cases, the two boards could deadlock and end up doing nothing, he said. "If it's set up so they never agree on anything, then nothing gets investigated," Olsen said.

Here's Common Cause's Jay Heck with what this all means, and a marker when voters were warned about what would happen...and it has already. From the Mitch Hank Show:

Republican calls Primary Opponent and Radio Host Mark Belling Nazi's.

The secrets out? Even Republicans can't hide their Nazi roots? It's another case of I know you are but what am I.

The crazy conservative Media Trackers found this gem:
Frustrated by his opponent’s message and a talk radio show hosts endorsement, Nick Oliver, a Republican candidate in the 99th Assembly District primary, has decided throwing around Nazi comparisons is a winning strategy the day before the primary. Oliver is running against Rep. Don Pridemore, a Republican.

Apparently unable to overcome what he feels is a false accusation, and perhaps unwilling to resort to rational debate, Oliver tweeted out on Monday that Pridemore and Belling were like the Nazis in that they keep repeating a “lie” in the hopes enough voters would believe it.
Hey, Democrats have been pretty much saying that for a long time, at least in reference to the old Joseph Goebbels technic mentioned above.

Neo-Nazi Rally Claims Peaceful Demonstration!

While the press and right wing media played up the angle that the Neo Nazi rally in West Allis related in some way to socialist liberals, the real story played out during an interview last night during the Fox 6 coverage:

A group of neo-Nazis held a news conference Friday evening to assure the public they were planning a peaceful rally on Saturday. During that news conference, an African-American man confronted them and there was a calm but tense exchange of words between the two.

A group called the National Socialist Movement has planned a rally in "defense of white America" for 2 p.m. at the West Allis City Hall. The Chicago-based group claims the rally is in response to mob attacks where whites were beaten by African-Americans at the Wisconsin State Fair.
More to come.....

Tea Party Trash "Leaders," tell Tens of Listeners Liberals Killed a Billion People, and “we’re going to polish off the enemy in November 2012.”

The newly empowered Tea Party movement, thanks to Obama’s legitimizing debt deal, has decided to not only return our nation to time before social safety nets, but to the political perversity of 1930’s Germany:
Andy Kroll of Mother Jones: Yesterday I reported that Judson Phillips, the founder of the Tea Party Nation group now touring Wisconsin to support the six GOP state senators facing recall elections on Tuesday, compared Wisconsinites who protested Republican Gov. Scott Walker to Adolf Hitler's Nazi storm troopers. The day before, Phillips claimed Democrats in Wisconsin wanted to "break the back of conservatives in Wisconsin" with the recalls … As Politico reports, Phillips told a north Milwaukee crowd that "the left" and its beliefs have "killed a billion people in the last century."

"I will tell you ladies and gentlemen, I detest and despise everything the left stands for. How anybody can endorse and embrace an ideology that has killed a billion people in the last century is beyond me."

There are some in our state that would believe this madness. But it gets worse:
Vince Schmuki, a leader of the Ozaukee Patriot tea party group compared the recall effort to a terrorist attack. "This is ground zero," said Schmuki. "You remember what the term ground zero means? We have been attacked. Tuesday is going to be the beginning of our takeover. And we're going to follow it up the following week and then we're going to polish off the enemy in November 2012. Who's with me?"

So…the liberal left are the ones who are like Nazi’s? If conservatives truly believe the extermination of their liberal enemy is they’re only solution, I wonder how the other two thirds of the country would feel about that idea.

Does Glenn Beck Really Understand Hitler, or Admire him?

Lost in the election year mayhem was this Dana Milbank piece on Glenn Beck and his Nazi preoccupation.

GOBP Double Standard: They have exclusive use of Nazi references, but off limits and an argument loser for Democrats.

Keith Olbermann thankfully points out the obvious. But sadly, due to the twisted and convoluted conservative way of thinking, liberal bias somehow discredits the actual truth.

It must be magic?
