Scott Walker tosses 2nd Amendment at public event announcing presidential run. What, law abiding citizens are dangerous?

Until the party who insisted we'd all be safer with an armed public, start walking-the-walk with no firearm restrictions at their political events, we can assume they're not only hypocrites but intimidated wimps hiding behind macho talk of "guns, freedom and liberty."

I'm challenging Wisconsin Carry Inc. to make their point loud and clear at the Waukesha County Expo, instead of just strutting their stuff at public farmers markets and grocery stores. Get the governors attention and honest position on CC and open carry, because right now he thinks law abiding gun owning citizens are scary and dangerous:

The Second Amendment of our Federal constitution explicitly affirms one of the limitless numbers of rights we enjoy as human beings... The right to keep and bear arms. We believe that "Open-Carry" and "Conceal Carry" are choices to be made by law-abiding citizens based on what suits their needs best.- Wisconsin Carry Inc.

I thought this tweet was a bit ironic and insulting to our heavily armed civilian militia, suggesting law abiding gun owners would even think to threaten Walker. If anything, having them in the crowd to protect Walker is a big plus:

How reasonable are gun rights advocates? The following brilliant idea should answer that:

Guns + Muscle = good ideas!

A pro-gun advocacy group Wisconsin Carry announced this week that it will push for legislation that would allow Wisconsin residents to carry weapons onto school grounds … it wants parents and guardians who pick up their kids at school to be able to carry a weapon.

Why play it safe? The idea provides the next shooter an excuse: “I’m just here to pick up my kid.” 

What’s with this fear of strangers with guns around our kids? Crazy right?

And after years of being told how we all have nothing to fear from responsible gun owners, Wisconsin Carry wants to protect those who aren't…responsible. WPR audio:

Hey, there unloaded, okay?

“Nearly a quarter million people in Wisconsin have applied for and received their concealed carry license,” said Nik Clark, the group’s president. “Should they forget to unload their gun and put it in a case before they so much as drive onto a school driveway in their own car to pick up their kids from the school — that's pretty offensive that they could potentially be charged with a felony."

I guess if your unloaded gun isn't in a case, and you've got a few magazines under your belt or in your pockets, why would anybody assume the worst?

Crazy Gun Losers at Wisconsin Carry Inc. manufacture story around buy back program.

Critics of gun buy-backs (who can't comprehend the notion of anyone voluntarily surrendering a firearm) say the gun buy-backs only net junk guns, BB guns and air rifles.

These aspersions are cast to dampen community support (i.e. donations) for the event.

To make sure they are correct, members of Wisconsin Carry, Inc. came to Racine last Saturday weighted down with BB guns and broken guns to sell and promptly released a statement saying the guns purchased in the buy-back were worthless.
