6 Year Old Boy Accused of First Degree Sexual Assault for Playing Doctor with 5 Year Old Girl.

This story makes me sick, literally. Having just blogged about an 18 year old teenage guy being portrayed as a sex offender for going out with his 15 year old freshmen girlfriend, the following 6 year old boy is accused of first degree sexual assault for playing doctor with a 5 year old girl.

The Grant County DA Lisa Rinicker should be recalled by any concerned parent who might be appalled by her irresponsible actions. Riniker even sent the boy a summons, threatening jail if the boy did not appear in court. Her excuse? She claims the law was written in a way that did not include an age restriction, so goodbye common sense.

And just for good measure, she was also granted a gag order on the boys parents today, so they could not be interviewed by WISC Channel3000 to tell their side of the story.

This story is so bizarre, and so wrong, I thought I’d post it here.  It’s all about sex between teenagers. Like sexting, kids are going to do a few things parents may not agree with, but that's sex, and it's anything but predictable or unusual. It's also about common sense, which we don't seem to have much of anymore. They were both in school and both interested in each other, how bad is that?:

WISC: A 19-year-old man is in jail because he wouldn't follow a judge's order to stay away from his underage girlfriend. mThe same thing happened to his grandfather more than 40 years ago.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Christian Laes, of Sturgeon Bay, was a senior (18) and his girlfriend (15) was a freshman when they started dating in 2009. Laes pleaded no contest in December to third- and fourth-degree sexual assault, both misdemeanors. He got probation and was ordered not to have contact with the 17-year-old girl, but he did and he was jailed starting Sept. 13.

Laes' grandfather Dean Teska was convicted of contributing to the delinquency of a minor after his romance with Pamela Pride, who was two years younger. They later married and stayed together until he died.
