U.S. Senate Candidate Michael LaForest?

At Moneyed Politicians, Jack Lohman is pushing independent candidate for U.S. Senate Micheal LaForest, and for good reason. This guy isn't some wacky unrealistic candidate for office. Check out the captured picture below from his website. His other positions are as well thought out as his policy statement on education.

I wish our invisible Democratic candidate Tammy Baldwin would be more aggressive going after this seat. Her packaged responses are a distraction from her populist positions. The days of the friendly, smiley, soft spoken candidate are gone. Don't they know these are very serious political times. As a voter it bothers me to see a lack of intensity and urgency from the Democratic side of the isle. After all, we're dealing with a desperate, take no prisoners conservative movement.    

New Radio ad: Tammy Baldwin and Obama Regulating Catholic Church?

Welcome to one of the most over the top radio ads dealing with the upcoming senate race to replace Herb Kohl. Tammy Baldwin is connected in some way to...the terrible and traitorous Barack Obama.

I guess in the surreal "opposite day" world of Republicans, "taking over the banks" with regulation, putting "government" (private insurance companies) in charge of our health care, and now "regulating the Catholic Church" are actual hot button issues.

Has the National Republican Senatorial Committee no shame, or are they just stark raving lunatics?




In this National Republican Congressional Committee ad below, Obama caused everything dating back to Reagan. In fact, Obama took over Washington. Does Paul Ryan know that? It's a wonder we still have the sunrise. It does more to demonstrate how bad Republican policies have been to our country than reflect on Obama's efforts to bring us back.

Is there a P.T. Barnum award we can give these clowns?

WSJ: The ad launched Thursday is paid for by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The group isn't saying how much it's spending. Chamber officials say this is the earliest in an election year that the 100-year-old organization has begun "voter education" efforts.

Baldwin spokesman Phil Walzak says that shows how afraid the group is. He says it's clear Baldwin's middle-class message is resonating with Wisconsin voters.

Poll Results for Kohl's Senate Seat.

A new poll shows ex-Gov. Tommy Thompson has the highest name recognition and the most favorable ratings in Wisconsin's U.S. Senate race.

But the Marquette University Law School poll released on Wednesday shows the public is largely unfamiliar with the candidates who want to replace retiring Democratic Sen. Herb Kohl.

The poll shows 49 percent think favorably of Thompson compared to 31 percent who don't. Other Republicans include former U.S. Rep. Mark Neumann, who has a 27 percent favorable rating and 18 percent unfavorable.

Fifteen percent view Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald favorably, while 18 percent were unfavorable. Democratic Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin had a 23 percent favorable rating compared to 21 percent unfavorable.
