The Freedom Caucus' Mick Mulvaney should be in Prison, right?

Republicans believe no one really deserves the safety nets, and life saving health care.

Scott Walker, like all the other hardcore conservative believers, insists the safety net programs will always be there for those who truly need them. Not true, yet they've been allowed to peddle that myth. Not anymore, now that we know there's no excuse for take money from other hard-working Americans.

Trump's icy budget director Mick Mulvaney finally made it clear that Republicans don't really see anyone as truly needy:

White House says diabetics don’t deserve health insurance: (Mulvaney) specifically called out people suffering from diabetes as a group of Americans who do not deserve the protection of health insurance. 

He was asked if families should be denied medical care because they can’t afford it, a standard Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) had termed “the Jimmy Kimmel test.” Mulvaney said he believed in helping to provide “a safety net so that if you get cancer you don’t end up broke. That doesn’t mean we should take care of the person who sits at home, eats poorly and gets diabetes."

As of 2014, 29.1 million Americans suffer from diabetes, which is about 9.3 percent of the population.

Under Mulvaney’s standard, an examination of their eating habits and how their disease was triggered would have to be undertaken before it could be determined whether they are deserving of health insurance or not. In the meantime, people will suffer and possibly die from their illness. The system championed by Trump, House Speaker Paul Ryan, and the Republican Party would upend that safety net in order to justify their sanctimonious attitude.

Like our sluggish job growth under Scott Walker, you can thank supply side economic magic for that, tax cuts at the top haven't done squat for job creation. But boy, CEO's love us here.

Trump budget master, "Freedom Caucus" tea party ghoul Mick Mulvaney, titled their brutal attack on their voters,  "A new foundation for American jobs." Funny thing about that, corporate profits have never been higher, yet they've done nothing to invest in job creation.

Budget Sec. Mick Mulvaney calls it the "taxpayer-first" budget. 

Mulvaney says they're now thinking more about the people who are paying the taxes — and trying to justify asking hardworking people to cough up money — rather than focusing on the people who are receiving the benefits.

Trump Redefines "Compassion," a word attacked, joked about, and vilified by Republicans:

The Trump administration wants to redefine what "compassion" means. 

Mulvaney says it should no longer be measured based on how many programs are in effect or how many people are receiving the benefit. He wants "compassion" to be broadened to include whether the government is ripping off taxpayers by using their money for ineffective programs.

Looking again at the wage vs corporate profits above, is it any wonder why more people are being caught in our safety nets? Why spend money rebuilding America or freeing them from their employers health care plans with an "all payer" health care system, when you an just boot them off these programs? 

Mulvaney: Screw Deficits, Tax Cuts and Letting Wealthy Keep Their Money is Goal.

For the longest time I've been trying to figure out is whether Republicans actually believe their bullshit; or each deserve their own "Oscar" for keeping a straight face while "sincerely" sticking to their "core values."

Finally, the Cold Hard Truth: One of the most brutal policy wonks ever, besides Paul Ryan, is Trump's budget director Mich Mulvaney. Remember when Mulvaney said how wrong it was to go to a single mom in Detroit with two kids and ask for money to help fund Head Start? Actually, he doesn't care about her or her two kids who are probably using Head Start. Mulvaney is out to protect billionaires from redistributing their wealth:

Mick Mulvaney, in a new interview with CNBC’s John Harwood, basically admits that what he cares about is reducing transfers from the rich to the poor:

Mulvaney: "Bad spending, to me, in terms of its economic benefit, would be wealth-transfer payments. It’s a misallocation of resources. Infrastructure is sort of that good spending in the middle, where ... you do misallocate resources a little bit. At the other end of the spectrum, at the very other end, is letting people keep more of their money, which — while it can contribute to the deficit in a large fashion — is the most efficient way to actually allocate resources. It’s a little less important to me if infrastructure adds to the deficit. And I’m really not interested in how tax reform handles the deficit."

What makes Mulvaney’s comments so unusual is not only their frankness, but also their comprehensiveness. Republican politicians tend to … frame their opposition to transfer payments as concern about deficits, while framing their desire of regressive tax cuts as being unrelated to deficits. Mulvaney is essentially conceding that deficits have nothing to do with the Republican fiscal agenda.
