Ryan, Sensenbrenner, Petri, Duffy and Ribble vote to exempt our national forests from federal environmental laws.

With a slick sounding name like “Timber Production Zone,” who wouldn't want to exempt federal forests from our common sense environmental laws? My advice, see them now before they’re all gone. It'll be hard to tell if what's left behind is due to a devastating forest fire or the Republicans scorched earth policy on the environment. WSJ:

LOGGING IN NATIONAL FORESTS: Voting 244 for and 173 against, the House on Friday sent to the Senate a bill (HR 1526) to establish “timber production zones” in national forests. The bill devolves U.S. Forest Service management authority over the newly created timber zones to state boards while granting exemptions from federal environmental laws. 

A yes vote was to pass the bill. Voting yes: Ryan, Sensenbrenner, Petri, Duffy, Ribble.
