Radio's smoke saturated talker Vicki McKenna is so devoid of actual content, that there is barely a minute that goes by she isn't making things up just to fill her empty program with bogus content.

Check her tweet, stating MSNBC blamed the NRA for the Boston bombs...:

...and then the actual commentary by Lawrence O'Donnell about a law the NRA defeated in Congress that would have allowed the government to track the gunpowder used in bombs, and thus find the Boston bombers. Blame the NRA? Heck, even The weekly Standard said as much in the title of their story:

To blame for slow investigation into Boston bombings.

Doh!

"There are new developments tonight in the bombing investigation here in Boston," said O'Donnell. "But that investigation could be moving faster were it not for the successful lobbying efforts of the National Rifle Association. The NRA's efforts to guarantee that American mass murderers are the best-equipped mass murders in the world is not limited to murderers who use assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. The NRA is also in the business of helping bombers get away with their crimes. Gunpowder could be traced by investigators to a buyer at the point of sale if gunpowder contained a taggant, an element that would enable tracing of the purchase of gunpowder. But thanks to the National Rifle Association, identification taggants are required by law only in plastic explosives. The NRA has successfully blocked any requirements for such taggants in gunpowder. So such supremely helpful evidence as taggants are not available to the FBI in this investigation."

Dead Boston Bomber Profile....

Here's an interesting look at one of the Chechen brothers, responsible for the Boston bombing.

Police have identified Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, as the "black hat" bombing suspect, killed during the manhunt that followed. Readers have pointed out that Johannes Hirn madeTsarnaev the subject of a photo essay, "Will Box for Passport," taken before the boxer competed at National Golden Gloves competition in Salt Lake City. The captions give us a micro-profile of the suspect.

Tamerlan, who studies at Bunker Hill Community College in Boston and wants to become an engineer, took the semester off from school to train for the competition.

Tamerlan fled Chechnya with his family because of the conflict in the early 90s, and lived for years in Kazakhstan before getting to the United States as a refugee.

Originally from Chechnya, but living in the United States since five years, Tamerlan says: "I don't have a single American friend, I don't understand them."

If he wins enough fights... Tamerlan says he could be selected for the US Olympic team and be naturalized American. Unless his native Chechnya becomes independent, Tamerlan says he would rather compete for the United States than for Russia.

Tamerlan says he doesn't drink or smoke anymore: "God said no alcohol." A muslim, he says: "There are no values anymore," and worries that "people can't control themselves."

These statements are similar to the whole terrorist movement, how the west is decadent, and out of control. In fact...

Politico: Bin Laden backed the Chechen rebels in the 1990s during their civil wars with Russia, with then-Russia Prime Minister Vladimir Putin (the country’s current president) has claimed that bin Laden visited with the rebels. Bin Laden reportedly wanted to help them become an independent Muslim state in the region, The Associated Press reported in 1999. Chechen rebels are responsible for multiple terrorist attacks throughout Russia. In 2004, they were behind the Russian school hostage crisis in Beslan, in which more than 350 people were killed. Chechen rebels recently plotted a terrorist attack for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia, which authorities uncovered in 2010. More recently, Chechens supported Syrian rebels.
