Navy SEAL and "American Sniper" Chris Kyle shot after taking PTSD Marine to Gun Range.

You won’t hear anyone discuss in length the irony of Chris Kyle’s murder at a gun range, due to the fear of possible death threats from the lunatic fringe that will now feel backed into a corner over the reality of gun violence expanding around them.

I guess having a gun in hand around law abiding gun enthusiasts wasn’t enough to save a couple of innocent lives. So what we need are more guns, right?  

Kyle’s intention were respectable; to help those with post-traumatic stress disorder, PTSD. That’s a severe anxiety disorder that needs professional treatment. Yet Kyle took his alleged killer to the gun range to deal with his PTSD. And we’re supposed to take Kyle’s opinions seriously about the evils of gun control?

Police arrested Eddie Ray Routh, 35, a man they say matches the description of the suspect wanted in connection with the slaying of Kyle and another man at a resort shooting range … The motive for the shooting was unclear. Investigators told WFAA that Kyle had taken his neighbor Littlefield and Routh out to help Routh deal with post-traumatic stress disorder. 

You might remember Adam Lanza’s mother took him to a gun range for practice too. Let’s be honest, these are the people fighting common sense gun laws.

Here's the CNN coverage, where the anchor completely missed the guests comments about taking a Marine with PTSD to a gun range. These people really don't listen to their own interviews. Kyle also gave his opinion about guns in schools and Obama's hatred for the Second Amendment with guns dot com:

Chris Kyle thought he made a convincing argument about the original intent of the founding fathers, with this down the rabbit hole comment:

CNN: The founding fathers "had the same weapons the military did," he said. "We don't even have that today -- but don't try to take what I've already got."

That’s a pathetic reach, and more along the lines of a “living breathing” constitution, than the gun lover’s originalist position.

Who cares, right? We should be exploring the problem we have with mental illness and changing human nature in society first, and forget about the senseless shooting that took Chris Kyle and his friends life.

Police arrested suspect Eddie Ray Routh, 25, after a brief pursuit. He is facing two counts of capital murder, the department said. Recently, Kyle spoke out against weapons bans. In a video interview with guns.com, Kyle accused President Barack Obama of being "against the Second Amendment."
