Here in Wisconsin, Gov. Walker may have already heard about Gov. Brewer's comments, and the money he can save taxpayers right here. That doesn't mean he won't pass on the deal. Remember, the worse things get financially statewide, the more Republicans will insist on making bigger cuts to the programs they hate.
WisRadioNet: Wisconsin businesses will pay $120 million more in federal taxes if Governor Scott Walker rejects increased federal Medicaid money to expand BadgerCare as part of ObamaCare — Affordable Care Act — according to Citizen Action of Wisconsin Executive Director Robert Kraig.
Under the federal health care law, employers with more than 50 workers who don’t offer adequate health insurance would have to pay a tax penalty for each employee who enrolls in the new health exchanges, but not if employees opt for BadgerCare. Milwaukee Democrat Jon Richards serves on the Assembly Health Committee.
“This should be a no-brainer to expand coverage to people of Wisconsin, especially if the federal government’s gonna kick in 100 percent or even 90 percent of that cost,” he says, “we should be moving forward aggressively.”
Walker "divide and conquer" is only possible with the endless series of crisis he and his repug cohorts create.
ReplyDeleteAs you state correctly, walker needs failures that he can deflect blame towards others -- we know the wisconsin media echo-chamber is behind walker and will carry the propaganda.
But it is even worse than using fiscal crisis to cut budgets -- this is what enables the entire "divide and conquer" agenda -- the koch brother's wish list which goes far beyond program cuts.
Unsafe mining is enabled by walker's massive job failure and right-to-work will likely be on the table.
How do I know?
History shows -- if you want to predict what Scott Walker will do next, just assume its the OPPOSITE of what he states and the propaganda in the media echo-chamber.
