Tom Barrett takes big lead in PPP Poll for Governor

A few unions may not like to hear this, but public opinion is on the side of Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett. PPP has been a fairly accurate barometer in the past:
jsonline: Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett leads all Democratic contenders in a possible primary contest to face Gov. Scott Walker in a recall election, according to a new poll.

Public Policy Polling found in a survey conducted Monday that Barrett leads former Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk 46% to 27% if the two were the only candidates in a Democratic primary, and leads former U.S. Rep. David Obey 42% to 32% under the same circumstances.

If the race were just between Obey and Falk, the former congressman would lead 43% to 28%, the poll found.

  1. Oh hell, give me Obey then. Barrett ran such a bad campaign last time he doesn't deserve a second shot. He wins the poll purely on name recognition.
