Democrats need to promise to repeal the concealed carry law immediately, once in office. The NRA needs to know they’re fringe elements that won’t be tolerated influencing our elections with their special interest money.
On the first day of Wisconsin's concealed carry law, more than 83,000 application forms have been downloaded and the Department of Justice's website has gotten hundreds of thousands of hits (400,000).
So what's the problem with more and more and more and more and more guns?
The Brady Center has a few statistics:
In one year, 31,224 people died from gun violence and 66,769 people survived gun injuries(National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC)). That includes:
a. 12,632 people murdered and 44,466 people shot in an attack (NCIPC).
b. 613 people who were killed unintentionally and 18,610 who were shot unintentionally but survived (NCIPC).
c. 17,352 people who killed themselves and 3,031 people who survived a suicide attempt with a gun (NCIPC).
I agree with you, but don't think the Dems will reverse conceal carry when they get back in power. It's too much of a loser for the electorate at large. It would also require them to be succinct and persuasively on message, something else they are pretty poor at doing.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that you are looking to the Brady Center for 'facts' is quite amusing. Something else that is amusing is the liberal fear of inanimate objects such as guns. Do you fear pillows too? They can easily suffocate a human.
