Right Wing tries to Divert Attention by School Yard taunt, “I know you are (Dems incite violence), but what am I (who, us?)?”

Watching the Republicans spin and contort over the sea of obvious criticism, is another bizarre twist in the assassination attempt on Rep. Giffords. It’s the most blatant case of projection to date, and so damn sick.

Now Democrats are vile and evil for pointing out the right wings tactical use of fear mongering and gun related terminology. For example, from the Huffington Post:
Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik … said his state has "become the mecca for prejudice and bigotry."
That comment set off a flurry of right wing tea party outrage, despite catching them with their hand in the cookie jar of irrational rage. First Amendment rights don’t apply when conservatives find themselves likely targets of criticism.
As a consequence of speaking out, Dupnik is now coming under attack … Right-wing radio host Jon Justice, who is on KQTH FM 104.1 in Arizona, has called for Dupnik's resignation and taken issue with the sheriff's singling-out of talk radio.
I guess “taking Democrats out,” labeling liberals as terrorists destroying our country, “Second Amendment remedies,” carrying firearms at rallies and cross hair targets aimed at Democratic candidates are incidental to the Giffords massacre. What did Sen. Jon Kyl say…:
Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) said Dupnik's comments were inappropriate and nothing more than "speculation."
And when you’ve been found out and revealed to the rest of the country as the cause of an assassination attempt, just blame the other guy in the hopes that it sticks. You can’t expect anything less from the tea party fringe:
The Atlantic reports that Tea Party Nation, led by Judson Phillips, is joining in the criticism: "TPN founder Judson Phillips, in an article linked off the e-mail 'The shooting of Gabrielle Giffords and the left's attack on the Tea Party movement,' described the shooter as 'a leftist lunatic' and Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik as a 'leftist sheriff' who 'was one of the first to start in on the liberal attack.' Phillips urged tea party supporters to blame liberals for the attack on centrist Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona, who was shot through the head and is now fighting for her life, as a means of defending the tea party movement's recent electoral gains."

  1. Judson Phillips was interviewed on Hardball. He continually denied there was any problem, stating that the Left had its extremists. He could not, or would not, answer a question as to why a person needed to bring a gun to a political rally. And, the ultimate insult, he ended the interview with a discernible smirk on his face, probably feeling that he had succeeded in defending the Right Wing extremists.
