My first pet peeve has to do with the press. Why is it when Republicans defend Sarah Palin in the gubernatorial abuse of power scandal they always mention a few legislators who are Obama supporters, suggesting a partisan bias.
Why doesn’t someone, anyone in the press, simply ask: Aren’t there a few McCain supporters involved in the Palin investigation as well, and wouldn’t that also introduce a partisan firewall of bias from the Republican side of the isle?
My second pet peeve involves credentials a politician supposedly gets from being governor. Politico reports:
On CBS, Texas Republican Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson defended Palin by pointing out that the last two presidents were governors who entered the White House lacked significant foreign policy experience.“So I don’t think the fact that she hasn’t been to the Middle East yet is a factor,” said Hutchinson.
The logical follow up question from the press should have been: Since you’ve just admitted Bush lacked significant foreign policy experience, how’s that been working out so far, and should we do that again.
My final pet peeve is the continued use of our own present day Joseph Goebbels, Karl Rove who said on "Fox News Sunday" that McCain has "similarly gone one step too far, and sort of attributing to Obama things that are, you know, beyond the 100 percent truth test.'' Gee I wonder where they got that idea Karl? He also planted the seed of thought about factcheck.org, saying you can’t believe them because they bring their own agenda to their reporting. So now we can’t believe the facts?
Get me outa here…
