#OregonUnderAttack busts myth of the Responsible Gun Owner!!!

Nice timing from our “responsible” Republican gun owners.

Obama's plan doesn't really do that much, so why all the outrage? The goal is to have no gun laws. Gun advocates once said once they supported regulations already on the books so they could pass concealed carry. Now they want to kill those laws.

"The point of a gun is the only law..." It's a line out of the song "The man who shot Liberty Valance," describing where we are today, and the growing movement behind it. If you don't carry a gun, you're a wimp and soft target. If you carry a gun it means people will listen, obey and be careful around you, promoting a more agreeable and peaceful society.

#OregonUnderAttack is a growing movement of justifiable lawlessness, using small government as an excuse to destroy what's left completely. I just grabbed this report from who else, Fox News, and it should actually clear things up. The guys the militia is trying to stand up for don't want their help:

On Saturday, a large group of armed militia members took over a federal building in rural Oregon, claiming the property to protest the conviction of two local ranchers found guilty of setting fire to government land. The protesters — many of whom openly brandish firearms — say they are “planning on staying…for years,” and have not ruled out violently defending themselves against any attempt to expel them.

Fires spread to public land to conceal poaching: Here’s the insane reason for the armed uprising:
Prosecutors said the fire was set to hide poaching, but the ranchers, who face five years in prison, and the protesters supporting them say it was set to stop invasive plants. The father and son, Dwight Hammond Jr. and Steven Hammond, respectively 73 and 46 … lit several fires from the late 1990s onwards to promote the growth of grass for their cattle, but in 1999, 2001 and 2006, the fires spread on to neighboring public land in the Malheur wildlife refuge. The two were convicted of arson three years ago and served time – Dwight Hammond three months, and his son a year. A judge ruled subsequently that their terms had been too short under federal law and ordered them back to prison for about four years each … they plan to abide by a court ruling that they return to prison on Monday
Peaceful and agreeable…until they're not, and decide some laws don’t apply to them:
Three of the group’s leaders are sons of Cliven Bundy, a Nevada rancher who triggered an armed standoff with government forces in 2014 for refusing to remove cattle from federal land … many see the current occupation as a continuation of an anti-government movement Bundy started in 2014. None of the Republican presidential candidates have weighed in on the rapidly escalating situation,

Harney County Sheriff Dave Ward told people to stay away from the building as authorities work to defuse the situation, the Oregonian reported. On his Facebook page Ammon Bundy said “this is not a time to stand down. It’s a time to stand up and come to Harney County.” "ALL PATRIOTS ITS TIME TO STAND UP NOT STAND DOWN!!! WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! COME PREPARED," he wrote. “This facility is owned by the people, and so if they come to bring physical harm to us, then they will be doing it only because of a facility, or a building. And I don’t believe that warrants killing people.”
Of course endangering the public with wild fires and burning public land is no big deal, especially when you come from a good looking family like this one. Believe it or not, that's their argument:

Not surprisingly, the gun crowd doesn't like to be threatened back. Despite similar threats made by the armed militia members now occupying the federally owned building, "come prepared," the tweet below gets the clueless right wing treatment. (not one of the articles has described the legal policy dealing with this situation):
