The Common Core Debate: From the intelligent to the surreal right wing mental gutter.

I'm leaning more and more toward total support of Common Core, despite the not quite convincing objections made by Diane Ravitch.

I want to show you how tea party conservatives have poisoned debate and threaten generations of promising young innovators from ever realizing their dream.

No, we can't afford to listen to the loony bin of teabilly Chicken Little's. Their misplaced fear of "government" by, for and of the people should be a red flag to everyone, but oddly isn't.

First, Rep. Don Pridemore, who just lost a chance to become the State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Pridemore inadvertently told us what Republicans behind the scenes are talking about all the time. Another words, he's not alone in his paranoid fear of the U.N., Bill Ayers...etc. The concept that education is one way of changing the country, actually scares Pridemore, and he says so. Here's State Sen. Paul Farrow, who's message is the same as Pridemore's, just softened a little. Farrow's come up with stall tactic promises of "having a conversation," "listening session" sideshows, and forever asking "where should we be with better standards."
