Why are we asking Dumb Ron Johnson what he thinks about Syria? Are we gluttons for punishment or what?

Holy cow, what a media whore like Dumb Ron Johnson won’t do for attention! 

He loves getting credit for saying the dumbest things. And like Scott Walker, the media is more than willing to except the first and only responses from carnival barkers like Johnson, because it’s a fair way to conduct a “debate.” Ask a follow-up...? The idiot is revealed.

Johnson’s breathless paranoia is always front and center. Why doesn't anybody ask him why others don't share his heightened state of pending disaster?  He's got an answer:

“I don’t think Americans really have a real grasp on the significant challenges we face in this nation.”

And have you noticed how this condescending blowhard strokes his massive ego making appearances at friendly businesses and chambers of commerce? Missing of course is actual interactions with the public, who we now know don’t “have a real grasp.”

Should we assume he knew and tried to warn everybody of the impending Great Recession?

In the video below, Johnson first wants a dramatic intervention in Syria, blaming Obama for not providing a lesson every day on Syrian relations, and then a moment later, he isn't for a robust action;

Johnson: “…whether we like it or not, America is the world’s superpower, we have to lead…at this point it’s long overdue…if we’re going to do something, it should be pretty robust. I think it really should be designed to lead to the toppling the Assad regime.”


Neumann: “If we topple the Assad regime, what is there to take its place? I think that’s the one question a lot of Americans are concerned about.”

Johnson: “I’m concerned about that too. Which is why I’m not ready to say that’s what we should do.”

Huh? Ah, the power of a follow-up question! By the way, “leading” is Republican shorthand for acting first, no matter what Americans think. That’s what Republican mean by leading. We're see that thing in Wisconsin all the time.

The scariest part of the interview? Johnson’s reasons for going to war with Syria; he uses the same language used to justify going to war with Iraq. This tea party neocon is that clueless. From Capitol City Sunday, with Greg Neumann:
