Insurers Delay Small Business Obamacare Options in Marketplace.

You're going to hear Republicans crow about the failure of Obamacare to be ready to offer small businesses a range of health care options.

It's not the administrations fault though. You can blame insurers for dragging their feet, and not offering choices within a chosen employer plan.

NPR: The Obama administration is delaying the start of a key piece of the Affordable Care Act. Workers in small businesses will have to wait an additional year to be able to choose from more than one plan in the marketplaces that start next January. Individuals will have a choice of plans from the start. But insurers complained about not having enough time to set up competing plans for the small business exchange, formally known as the Small Business Health Options Program, or SHOP. That's basically the way most small business health insurance works now — the boss chooses a health plan for all the employees.
