I've had it! Republicans are Fascists!

I have had it being called a Marxist, a "liberal," and a socialist. Although Democrats mix a little socialism in with capitalism, these idiotic sweeping generalization are simply too much for take.

Isn't it funny how Democrats sit around watching conservative fascism envelope the Republican Party. I've synced the description here with the definition below. Tell me Republicans aren't actual fascists, which by the way isn't too strong a word.
The "take our country back" nationalism (American Exceptionalism), the elitist totalitarian "leaders" consuming local governments (Michigan's "emergency managers), the tea party movement threatening an armed revolution, and the GOP's obsession with building up the military, threatening war with any and every country we don't like.-Me
Compared to...
Fascism is a form of radical authoritarian nationalism. Fascists seek to unify their nation through a totalitarian state that seeks the mass mobilization of the national community, relying on a vanguard party to initiate a revolution to organize the nation on fascist principles. Fascism views political violence, war and imperialism as a means to achieve national rejuvenation, spirit and vitality.-Wikipedia
It's pretty clear Republican Fascism is here, and we're too timid to says so. I'm not taking this anymore:
Huffington Post: Henry Barbour, one of five GOP strategists spearheading the RNC's post-campaign reboot, described President Barack Obama as a "socialist" Monday, "We've got a socialist in office right now -- how's that working for us?" Sarah Palin told Fox News that Obama's stance on the economy proves he "believes in socialism."bAnd last month, Rep. Paul Broun (R-Ga.) said he was proud to be the "first member of Congress to call [Obama] a socialist who embraces Marxist-Leninist policies.
It's still hard for me to imagine a time when another American would dare question my patriotism, just because I'm a Democrat, liberal and progressive. Have we gone mad?

  1. John--throughout the 2011 protests, I frequently carried a sign blatantly stating that Repubs are Fascists, and boy, I caught more flak from people on 'our side' than anything else. I tried explaining that the right calls us Marxists, Socialists, Communists, etc., and I was sick of it and it's time to call a spade a spade. "We're better than that," was the most common response. I would refer people to Henry Wallace's doctrine on American Fascism. It's high time to expose Fascism as a very real manifestation of the political spectrum.

  2. I, too, have been saying Tea Party Republicans are promoting fascist ideology from the very beginning of the protests. The facts have shown -- they've always shown -- that the right-wing is demonstrating fascist activities
