Scott Walker has agreed to plead guilty or no contest to one felony count of misconduct in public office … The two sides have agreed that the state will recommend a sentence of probation for Rindfleisch … The agreement calls for Rindfleisch to continue cooperating with the prosecution handling her case but doesn't mention whether she would testify in other current or possible future cases.
Darlene Wink, has pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges of political solicitation by a public employee … Wink, the other aide to reach a plea deal, is still awaiting sentencing. In exchange, Wink agreed to provide information in a related investigation into possible destruction of digital evidence and to cooperate in further prosecutions and proceedings.
Scott Walker won’t have to testify, an unlikely situation anyway, now that his office felons are pleading out to protect their leader. Falling on their swords so to speak.
TMJ4: A former Scott Walker staffer Kelly Rindfleisch has reached a tentative plea deal … Rindfleisch was accused of using county time to conduct campaign work for a Republican who lost a lieutenant governor race in 2010. Rindfleisch was Walker's deputy chief of staff when he was the Milwaukee County executive. She has been charged with four felony counts of misconduct in office. Rindfleisch would be the second former Walker staff to plead guilty to campaign-related charges. The other is Walker's former constituent services director, Darlene Wink.
Except a deal is quid pro quo. What is Rindfleisch giving up in exchange for lighter sentencing?
