Latest Obama, Baldwin Polling Data....

I usually try to tighten up, and not copy and paste articles, but this is pretty much bare bones polling data from JS’s CraigGilbert.

President Obama leads Mitt Romney 51% to 45% in a new Wisconsin poll by Quinnipiac University, the New York Times and CBS News.

The same poll shows a tight November US Senate race. On one potential match-up, Democrat Tammy Baldwin and Republican Tommy Thompson are tied. In others, Baldwin leads Republican Mark Neumann 48% to 45%; Baldwin leads Republican Eric Hovde 47% to 43% and Baldwin leads Jeff Fitzgerald 51% to 39%.

Also, 51% approved of the job Obama is doing as president, while 46% disapproved.

At the same time, 52% approved of the job Republican Gov. Scott Walker is doing while 44% disapproved.

In two other states polled at the same time by the same pollster: Romney leads Obama 50% to 45% in Colorado and Obama leads Romney 49% to 45% in Virginia.

The gender gap was bigger in Wisconsin than in the other two states, with Obama winning women by 23 points but losing men by 10 points.

On Romney, 41% of Wisconsin voters viewed him favorably while 43% viewed him unfavorably; 53% viewed Obama favorably while 44% viewed him unfavorably. Those polled were evenly divided over which candidate would do a better job on the economy.
