Why are my Tax Dollars being wasted on an underfunded and costly Concealed Carry Law Wisconsin Citizens didn’t want?

I’m sorry, I missed the part where someone volunteered my hard earned money being spent on a program to arm gun nut hobbyists, so they can carry their heavy metal penis’s around so they could fondle them public.

This is another Republican unfunded state mandate and boondoggle, that’ll cost the majority of us who were against this law, over a million dollars...
The kids loved it.
WSJ: The state Justice Department asked legislators Wednesday for permission to spend an additional $788,000 to ensure the agency can keep up with concealed carry applications.

The law authorized the department to spend $236,700 from application fees to hire one full-time employee and 10 temporary employees to handle the applications. It wasn't enough; the department was forced to pull employees from other assignments to help.

In December, the Legislature's budget committee approved a department request to release more application fee revenue to hire 21 additional workers to beef up the approval operation and offset the impending loss of the initial temporary workers. The department needs $384,520 to hire eight two-year workers to replace the soon-to-be lost temps.
Of course the Democrats won’t stand for this massive spending spree:
Erik Peterson, chief-of-staff for Sen. Lena Taylor, a Milwaukee Democrat and a long-time finance member, said he doubted any Democratic members would raise any objections.
Doh!

  1. So in 1998, when we Wisconsinites voted 73.9% to 26.1% for the right to keep and bear arms, and again when twice, then Gov. Doyle vetoed the bi-patisan vote by both houses to give WI a CCW law, and again when there are so many applications for CCW permits coming in that the DOJ needs to add staff to accomodate them all, apparently that means WE don't want CCW here in WI? I think it really means YOU don't want CCW in WI. Face it, THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE, and it doesn't agree with you...

I have no problems with concealed carry. Let them masturbate all day with their pistols for all I care. However, if they want these permits let them pay up as any user of services should.

Can you imagine how many teachers you could hire for that amount?
Also these concealed carry red neck wackos really need to be in a searchable database.

If a signed recall petition can be made public - why not these nut jobs?

Question: how do you conceal IT when swimming.

  3. Democracy at the end of a gun barrel? That's what it looks like to me.

I mentioned polls on the subject, not lunatic Republican legislators voting for something, again, the people dont't want. POLLING.
