Vacuous Radio Talker McKenna picks on Crossing Guards. No, really.

My former radio partner, smoke-a-holic Vicki McKenna, is the poster child of conservative snakes.

Over the years Republicans like McKenna have turned their backs on, and denounced, all their self proclaimed American heroes. But after they decided to ditch firefighters, the police and returning veterans, they decided to focus on teachers, recall petition signers, and just about anyone else that opposed their authority.

Which brings me to McKenna's remarkable new low point, the vilification of crossing guards.

Sly in the Morning featured this audio clip of Vicki trashing crossing guards in Green Bay. Why? They committed the sin of opposing the privatization of their duties to an out-of-state contractor. How dare they complain, these overpriced $12 an hour loafers (if rehired, they'll make $10 an hour). And isn't it nice to send our money to another state too.
McKenna: "Ten bucks and hour to stand there and walk little kids across the street."
Keeping our kids safe from inattentive drives is no vacation. It's to be admired. Who would bash crossing guards? McKenna. And all this from someone who really doesn't work for a living.

By the way, what's with the wicked witch laugh?
