It was no accident; Guns were banned at GOP convention.

Let’s face it, the state GOP is one big party of very low information voters. These tea party terrors like to strip everything away from the issues until you’re left with one word-freedom. They can’t help but be wary of a little “six-gun justice” from any one of their more exuberant supporters.

Even so, these teabaggers don’t get that they're getting played. Gee, no guns allowed, how did that happen? Doh!
CapTimes: One of the tea party activists I talked to at the convention, Annette Olson from St. Croix County, was disappointed with the Party.

Despite being a big fan of Gov. Scott Walker and enthusiastic about at least three of the candidates for U.S. Senate, Olson believed the party was betraying its principles by holding its convention at ShopKo Hall in Green Bay, where concealed firearms are not allowed. “We just want the party to follow its principles,” said Olson, who is an active National Rifle Association member.
But even more embarrassing, the attendees were scared stiff of their fellow activists. "Second Amendment remedies" anyone?
Thus, of the many non-binding resolutions that were adopted by the GOP faithful that day, one was an Olson-sponsored motion urging the party to hold future conventions on properties that respect guests’ Second Amendment rights.

The resolution passed, but narrowly.
