Romney feels Muskego's love, InPro CEO and Host says Obama would bring about "continued socialism."

So what is candidate Mitt Romney saying in his Wisconsin stopover?

Nothing that remotely resembles fact or reality, but you knew that. You would think by listening to Mitt Romney in Muskego, and a parade of local Republicans including Paul Ryan, that the country was on its last legs. This headline in the morning paper might have dashed that argument:
Wall Street Vaults Higher in Best 1Q Since 1998!
Times are tough…thanks Obama. Here’s a smattering of comments that pretty much numb the mind:
MuskegoPatch: Barb Schroeder of Muskego said, “I also want a businessman in office, because they seem to have a better grip on the economy."

InPro CEO Steve Ziegler greeted the crowd of about 500, telling them that the company's growth meant they could hire more people and expand. He warned that a second term for President Barack Obama would bring about "continued socialism."

Ryan drew a standing ovation, and continued the criticism of the president's stance on business. "He is imperiling entrepreneurship in this country, and it's taking us down a dangerous path," Ryan said. "He is not leading and we have a choice to make."
What Ryan means by leading? He will tell us what’s best for us, and we'll like it. That’s leading.

Both Ryan and Romney want to change Medicare so much, that it will not have anything in common with the current program except for its name. Don’t believe me? You already know what the Republicans did to education in the state, right? Well what would happen if the states had that kind of leeway with Medicare? That’s why letting the states handle Medicare and Medicaid, with no federal strings, spells the end of the programs, and they know it.
Romney again brought the crowd to its feet, "Republicans aren't going after Medicare," he said. "Obama has cut the legs out on the program, by cutting it $500 billion." Romney explained his plan would take the federal oversight and funding of Medicare and put it back to the states to manage.
And the poor military that has lost track of $3 trillion in the past and still continues to spend?
Romney named PBS, Amtrak and Planned Parenthood as budget items he would defund. At the same time, he said more spending was required on the military.
Can anyone say "the military industrial complex?" Eisenhower is rolling over....

Blue Cheddar has a nice piece with pictures; Givin' Mitt the Shitt..."

  1. I find it amazing that these idiots think we are living under Socialism. Any CEO who really believes that is probably in process of running his company into the ground and feels the need to blame his failures on phantoms.
