Hovde speaks to poor and middle class, wants them "to get back to self-responsibility."

Eric Hovde is another self-righteous millionaire. He too has the “courage” to make unpopular decision not supported by the public that he’ll do anyway. It's nice to know we have the wealthy to guide us morally and economically.

Check out the newest hot conservative authoritarian buzz word “courage,” referenced in the ad below, and Hovde’s condescending comment at the end that assumes we’re all broken freeloading adults.

That last line kicker: 

Hovde: “I think by this shift to a sense of entitlement and dependence on government, we’re losing a bit of our soul, to be honest. We have to get back to self-responsibility. ”

How arrogantly rich of Hovde to care so much about our lost souls. Does it seem odd that we’re now attempting to elect millionaires as our representatives?  

He is chief executive officer of Hovde Capital Advisors, which manages hedge funds, and also oversees real estate investments, community banks and a charitable family foundation. Hovde has lived the past 24 years in Washington, D.C. … Hovde said he would be able to tap his own wealth gained through family real estate holdings, banking and hedge fund management to the tune of $10 million.

Hovde was a non-signer: Hovde didn’t sign any of the recall petitions either. He also supported Republican candidates involved in the summer recall elections in 2011.
