Businesses holding off until Walker wins Recall? Inflated self-image or Delusional?

Like most Republicans, Scott Walker thinks businesses will start hiring workers even without consumer demand. Ditto for stagnant wages that suppress spending. Jobs are just created out of whole cloth by the...

..."job creators." "Job creators" is a focus group tested term that directly replaces the word "wealthy, rich or fat cats." It takes their viscerally negative image, and turns them into middle class heroes. Not bad huh?

Why Democrats aren't driving this point home in every interview, pundit panel and town hall is a mystery to me. Come on Democrats, this is an easy one. The jsonline reported today:

Wisconsin is the only state that had "statistically significant" job losses over the most recent 12-month period, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. From March 2011 to March 2012, Wisconsin lost 23,900 jobs. That was the largest decrease in percentage terms in the country. Those job losses came from both the public and private sector, but the public sector job losses (17,800) were larger than the private-sector job losses (6,100).
Watch Scott Walker replace "wealthy" with "job creators" in the short Newsmax interview below. You're job? Change it back.

Embattled Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker told Newsmax: “I firmly believe you’re going to see a dramatic takeoff after June 5th, because businesses feel like we’re headed in the right direction … I think the big thing that people are waiting for is to have the certainty of knowing that this sort of positive outlook for job creators is going to continue. That’s why I think that after June 5th, after these primaries are done, and when I and the lieutenant governor and these senators prevail, I think it means there will be a clear message to the job creators and the small businesses in the state that now is the time to add jobs. And I think they will.”
Walker even made the mistake of separating "job creators" from "small businesses" out of habit, even though they're supposedly, one and the same. After last summers recall elections, how did that work out for jobs? Oh, we lost jobs 5 months in a row.

The idea that businesses will actually make important costly decisions based on a governor's term in office is one of the more absurd ideas yet.
