Hypocrisy is a passe' term still used by liberals. Republicans are so beyond that....
While Scott Walker lectured and denounced the influence of outside union money in Wisconsin, he worked the D.C. crowd for just that kind of outside influence to break up the unions, because...well, it was necessary. See how unions are affecting Germany's auto makers here.
Oh then, that's okay. From The Hill:
Walker framed the coming recall election, which he said is likely set for June, as a battle with labor leaders in Washington who are angered that Wisconsin gave public workers the option not to pay union dues. He said the identity of his future opponent is irrelevant.God, he still needs more time to explain the benefits...like continued job losses in the private sector, a looming $3 billion deficit and more spending cuts, bad management, crooked cronies...
“The person doesn’t matter. It will be the big-government union bosses here in Washington” calling the shots, he said.
He defended this week’s fundraising trip to Washington as necessary because of the amount of money unions are prepared to spend to unseat him. Walker said he is hopeful of victory because he will have time to explain the benefits of his collective bargaining move.
Washington Times: With a June recall election all but certain, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker says the debate is no longer just about collective-bargaining rights for state workers. Union leaders and others, he said, have made it personal.
“They want me dead. I don’t think that’s an exaggeration,” Mr. Walker said in an exclusive interview with The Washington Times after a roundtable discussion Thursday at the American Enterprise Institute.
