So the Recall costs too much…

It is so ridiculous to hear the Walker Republicans complain about the cost of the recall elections, when they’re the ones who ran up the bill with fake Democratic challengers, and paid out-of-state workers to come in and collect recall signatures of their own.

But their lunkhead voters don’t seem to care, or can’t figure it out on their own, so Democrats are left to try and explain the obvious, like Assembly Democratic Leader Peter Barca:

“Checking signatures to weed out duplicates on recall petitions or nomination papers has always been the responsibility of the candidates. Gov. Walker and his campaign venue-shopped to get a friendly judge in Waukesha County so that instead of his campaign taking on the cost and responsibility, it would be foisted on the taxpayers. Republicans strategy has clearly become to discredit the constitutionally and democratically protected right of citizens to vote in recall elections when they believe they have been betrayed by an elected official.

'Nuff said.
