How can the media sit by and not be critical of the GOP candidates support of starting a war with Iran and the ethical vacuousness of their support of torture? Instead the focus was on how funny Rick Perry was on Letterman. The lack of criticism over Herman Cain's attack on harassment victims was appalling, CBS's decision to cut the debate off on the network after the first hour, and continue in on the internet, without any clear links to the to the cite was mind boggling. Or how about the Fox News drumbeat of criticizing the violence of the Occupy Wall Street movement, an inevitable outcome when police power cracks down on dissent. Oh sure, blame the citizen protester. Isn't it time they go home now?
Are we heading for another "gee, we should have been more critical" mea culpa moment sometime in 2013?
