Big Turnout for Recalls today.

With the huge turnout in both Democratic recall races, we'll see just how serious the Republican voters are about driving this state off the cliff, or whether many want keep their original senator in office.

jsonline: More workers are being sent out to address long lines at some polls in the city of Kenosha, where one of two Senate recall elections is being held Tuesday.

Meanwhile, strong turnouts were being reported in northern Wisconsin, site of the other election. In Tuesday’s elections, Sen. Bob Wirch (D-Pleasant Prairie) is being challenged by Republican Jonathan Steitz and Sen. Jim Holperin (D-Conover) is being challenged by Republican Kim Simac. The Lakeland Times, meanwhile, reported big turnouts in Republican-leaning Minocqua but also in more Democratic areas like Lac du Flambeau.

Magney of the Government Accountability Board also said that there had been reports of long lines for voters in Arbor Vitae, in the Holperin-Simac race.
