Concealed Carry in Wisconsin: "Protecting our right to revolt against our own country."

Concealed carry is here. This outrageous infringement on anyone terrified to be around fully armed strangers is now law. Unlike all the other industrialized countries that don’t allow firearms, and have negligible gun death statistics, they must not know what conservative Americans instinctively see as a no brainer.

I was reminded of how crazy this whole thing is, by this recent comment on a YouTube video I posted:

At least Republicans are protecting our right to revolt against our own country through violent means, while Democrats have embraced gun control much like Hitler did as a means of... CONTROL.
So in America, and now a law in Wisconsin, gun carrying lunacy has produced this:

In one year, 31,224 people died from gun violence and 66,769 people survived gun injuries(National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC)). That includes:
12,632 people murdered and 44,466 people shot in an attack (NCIPC).
17,352 people who killed themselves and 3,031 people who survived a suicide attempt with a gun (NCIPC). An estimated 41% of gun-related homicides and 94% of gun-related suicides would not occur under the same circumstances had no guns been present (Wiebe, p. 780).
613 people who were killed unintentionally and 18,610  who were shot unintentionally but survived (NCIPC).
No one ever mentions gun injury survivors, who apparently heal up like they do on TV and in the movies, as good as new.

Gun training is the next big thing. Like having the Bookmobile stop into your neighborhood, this gun training entrepreneur works out of his truck. At first, I was appalled, but BDJ Ltd’s Bill Schmitz comes across well in this Action 2 news piece:

jsonline: Legislation that will allow Wisconsin residents to carry concealed firearms … has created a boom in business for gun stores and companies that offer weapons safety classes. "The phone's been ringing pretty good, and I can only imagine that it's going to pick up even more after Gov. Walker signs this bill," said Scott Bretl, owner of Just Carry LLC, a Port Washington company that offers classes focused on carrying concealed weapons. At the Shooters Shop in West Allis, the waiting list already contains at least 300 names. Nearly a million people have already graduated from hunter safety programs in Wisconsin.
And for all those low hanging dullards who backed constitutional carry, check out the following commentary, offering up a part of the argument we didn’t see covered in the public debate.

The classes offered by BDJ Ltd., based in Redgranite, include information on the "responsibilities of carrying a pistol in public," said company co-owner Bill Schmitz. "We start our class with, 'If we've done our job, you will have second thoughts about carrying a gun in public,' " he said. "Doing it without the cognizance of the rights and responsibilities can be more dangerous to you than not carrying a gun."

  3. Tell ya what: Tell me how, living way out in the sticks, at least a half hour from the nearest police station, you'd deal with a break in?

...or in a city, when you get assaulted or robbed.

You'd use your fists, and save the day, right?

Tell us where to send the flowers.
