but you CAN'T can't can't can't compare these people to the early Nazi movement. No matter how many times they take pages after page out of the play books of the early Nazis, gaining power and spreading propaganda in exactly the same ways, manipulating human nature in exactly the same way - it's just too too "uncivilized" to draw comparisons. Just like, in early Nazi years, when the average, nice, "well-behaved" German people were socially uncomfortable saying out-loud how extreme and unreasonable some things seemed. They might "offend", be called "inflammatory" and accused of "lowering the tone of the debate". But, just WHO is lowering the tone of the debate?
It is empty to repeat the post holocaust phrase "never again" while acting as if it must be Hitler himself who rises from the grave, with his Brown Shirts in tow. Once again targeting the Jewish community. Impossible to think it could be an amorphous group, without a figurehead, targeting non-Jews, maybe several groups, or even, just a society or nation as a whole. Our culture is rapidly moving backward, propelled by people who are committed to channeling the most base and yet immutable aspects of human nature. Imagining themselves will be elevated by the process.
The Nazis were just one group who enacted horrors on those around them. History is full of examples of genocides and tyrannys. All of which must be relegated to the status of fantastic, un-real bogeymen that were once under our beds but, don't be silly. It's just rude to act like they are real, or an element of human nature that must be faced again and again, because it will morph and adapt to whatever the current situation and society presents, like a virus. But be "fair", be "nice", don't say anything out loud, nothing too harsh. Everything will be just fine.....
but having said all that I'd alos like to call "bullshit' on the current mantra. I am also sickened by this. And evryone is picking it up like parrots

No. it's about all of US, it's about tearing down our nation as we have known it. It's about dismantling America, establishing corporate feudalism in an age which will he the technological capabilities to keep it all in place for a long long time. It is not "about Obama", it's about the entire globe.
This party-based navel-gazing and narcissism is also dangerous. Obama is just a playing piece, so yes, his "capture" will be nice, but aren't we over-weighting Obama a little? It's global.
And after all the waves of privatization are over, how nice will it be when Xe is in charge of Pine Gap, or some similar place? Yup I'm a paranoid nut. Call me in 50 years, we'll see. Oops. I'll be dead. We it's nice we could chat like this then
