Wisconsin Protests Gov. Walker's Attack Against Labor and Wisconsin's Economic Recovery!!

Wed. 4:14- Here's the latest coverage, featuring this amazing admission by Fox News' Stuart Varney:

"And  here's one more thing that could lead to the extinction of unions in Wisconsin. Every single worker in a union, every state worker union in Wisconsin, will have to vote every year if they want to continue to being in the union."

We kind of had a feeling this was the Republican goal. Scott Walker dismisses the size of the protest, by comparing it to the number of citizens in the state, a ploy that could be used against him when you consider how many people turned out to vote and the percentage of residents that got him into office.  According to Walker:

"The bottom line is that's a fraction of the 300 or so thousand state and local employees we have....obviously that's a much smaller fraction than the 5 and a half million of people who live and work here in the state of Wisconsin."

We didn't here that excused used against the tea party protesters, but then, maybe we should have. Maybe it's not too late to say the same thing about tea partier's now.

The Rude Pundit had this to say about Walker and Ohio's success rate with business tax cuts:

Your Union-Busting State Sucks: Governor Scott Walker, who teabagged his way into office, has said that if unions have a problem with his plans to no longer negotiate with them, he'll call in the National Guard to fill in for things like prison guards. And as long as they've been called, well, it's a slippery slope to anarchy, no? 

In Ohio, Republican then-Governor Bob Taft and the legislature slashed individual and corporate taxes back in 2005 when the state had a surplus of revenue. The Buckeye State has lost $2 billion in revenue per year, and, despite the usual desperate promises of the filthy, avaricious tax cutters, Ohio has not reaped a bounty of new jobs. No, in fact, Ohio's f**ked, in the hole for $8 billion, which, again, while not having a degree from the Milton Friedman School of Suck It, Hobos, the Rude Pundit can calculate that that budget shortfall would not be there without the tax cuts. And current Republican Gov. John Kasich's solution? Maybe raise those taxes back to 2004 levels? F**k you, commie. No, it's time to get rid of collective bargaining because it's the unions that are dragging the state down. 

In Wisconsin, essentially Walker's just another boss and he's got his scab labor in the National Guard ready to step in.
